010 | Relief and Rescue
Who: Everyone!
What: Cleanup and moral support
When: All day May 16
Where: Just outside of Tokyo
Summary: It's time to get rid of the mess that that demon made!

The attack by the demon recently has left the surrounding area in a very sorry state. Not only are some people still hospitalized or slowly recovering from the affects of the draining of their life force, but a lot of nasty accidents happened during the time that people were walking around like they were dead to the world. It's been attributed to an odd natural disaster, and many think it may have been an illness that caused it.
The Heavens have decided to send any available gods and shinki down to help out in the relief efforts. If they try hard enough, they should be easily seen for the times when they are helping people out, so it shouldn't be a problem.
On top of that, some new arrivals have suddenly appeared. Amaterasu has left them little handwritten notes pinned to their shirts:
'These people need your help! I'm sorry to throw you into things like this, but please do what you can.
☼ Amaterasu ☼'
And yes, she has doodled little suns next to her name.

Care
There are a lot of people who were left hurt because of the incident with the demon and they are still trying to recover from it. From broken bones all the way to mental trauma, these people have seen a lot of crazy stuff and they aren't feeling so hot. Any kind of care is viable, but you might also want to just be an errand-runner in order to help the qualified people who are already doing a pretty good job of helping these poor folks out.
Food
A fair number of homes and stores managed to get destroyed amidst everything going on with the demon, so there's a lot of work for the neighborhood to do in helping them out. Whether by helping to rebuild what has been broken or by just handing out some free food to the people who need it. Of course, you might also take some food for yourself. Hopefully you're not a horrible enough person to just steal from the homeless~
Literal Cleaning
And here's where the fun comes in. The buildings that need to be rebuilt and the streets that need to be cleaned up are all under works and you can help in any way you deem worthy. You might carry loads or actually put forth the effort to help rebuild some lost homes, it's up to you. Of course, if you set about helping out in this way, you might notice little fairy-like spirits flitting around each of the Near Shore residents who are working hard to help each other out. The little spirits shine brightly and seem to shy away if approached, but they titter happily anytime the person they're following does something nice.
Banquet
After the day is done, the Heavens have a special treat set up for anyone who helped out - a large banquet in the Meeting Hall back on the Far Shore. Just like any other banquet, there is food and booze of every kind available. But also, the small tittering bright white spirits are in attendance, following around any Far Shore resident who helped out today. You might find yourself with a new friend or two who won't leave you alone, who keep giggling anytime you're kind, and who don't seem to be able to talk and only exude delight and good feelings.

[Tsuzuki looks a little out of place in a white coat he swiped from the back of a chair. It's grass-stained at the elbows, and it's baggy on him, but thankfully, no one seems to be paying him too much attention as he moves through the Red Cross tent full of portable cots and busy mortal doctors and nurses.
It's a good thing, because if anyone was paying attention, they'd realize that not only is he not wearing gloves, his hands are streaked with his own blood running from fresh cuts across his fingers and palm. He's focusing on the worst injured, reaching out to press his hands over broken limbs and thick bandages. Somehow, the people he leaves behind seem to be breathing more easily, as though their pain has faded....
As the day wears on, though, he's starting to look a little paler. Someone might want to make him sit down. Even a dead man can't go around bleeding on people all day.]
Cleaning
[Tsuzuki's still in his white coat, and still looking a little pale and wobbly, but even if he can't keep up helping with the injured he's determined to do something useful.
That's why he's wandering among the repair crews, pausing by anyone who looks like a local, pushing up the non-prescription pair of glasses he's using to try to make himself look a little more academic, and leaning in to ask a few questions. Were they here when the disaster happened? What did they see? Oh, he's with the national bureau of health -- um, he means institute -- um, anyway....
He's official! He's trying to flash a wallet at them too fast for them to quite see!
They don't look convinced.]
Um -- no, really! -- I just want to know what you saw....
Wildcard
[Something else? Hit me up!]
Cleaning
[A snicker comes from behind Tsuzuki. Fuujin stands looking much too amused with his arms crossed over his chest. Seriously, some of these lower gods were just something else. Here he thought he wasn't going to get any sort of fun today---then Tsuzuki stumbled by.]
It's just a matter of if you're going to be on the ground first or not.
no subject
The human he'd been trying to convince backs off a few steps, saying something fast about errands, and turns to go.]
Hey, wait! -- Oh, man....
[Yeah, she's gone. He slumps, and rounds on the blonde.]
What was that for? It would've worked! I just needed a few more minutes!
no subject
You did it to yourself, don't try to blame your failures on me.
[The wind god shakes his head. He should have just let Tsuzuki keep going on until he ended up on the ground. What an ungrateful godling]
I don't get you. For being one of the first to arrive here and being here as long as you have been, I figured we'd see more from you by now. The more I see, the more I'm surprised you haven't gotten yourself killed yet.
[But hey, there's still time so that bet isn't over.]
no subject
[Tsuzuki eyes the other man dubiously. 'One of the first to arrive,' 'I figured we'd see more from you by now'.... who is he, exactly? And who's we?]
So, uh, who are you, anyway?

cleaning
Also there was this pathetic wobbling guy, clearly from the Far Shore, clearly not getting anywhere with his investigation. So Hibari literally just kicked him over, staring at the person Tsuzuki was trying to question.]
Tell me. Now.
no subject
Hey, it's okay! This's, uh, my colleague. We just need you to answer the question, sir.
[The man looks back and forth between them, bafflement temporarily resurging before he appears to decide that, whoever the hell these two are, he's not about to answer any questions. He lifts a fist threateningly. Tsuzuki closes his eyes.]
Oh, shit.
no subject
Wow. You really think you're something, don't you?
[His tonfas were already being brought out threateningly. If this guy doesn't back down, he was getting one directly to the face.]
no subject
The name on his face is new, though, that's for sure. Must've gone to a new god at some point. Most importantly, right now, he's pulling weapons on a mortal. Tsuzuki reaches hastily out to grab the nearest tonfa before Hibari can bring it to bear.]
Whoa, it's all right! Relax! Let's just find somebody else, okay?

Care
As he's coming back in later in the day to make sure everything that was meant to be taken across to the new tents has been taken, though, he notices the markedly pale tone to the guy's skin and the injuries on his hands. It's an attitude he saw plenty of the last time they were helping out here as well (though Shun was engaging in it just as much), and with a harsh, annoyed sigh, he walks up to Tsuzuki and reaches for what's likely to be a rather rough grab to the shoulder if it's not noticed.]
Do you really think driving yourself into the dirt is going to help more people?
no subject
Oh, hey there.
It's fine! I heal up a lot faster than these people do.
no subject
If you're going to pretend you're fine, at least take a minute to yourself so you'll actually convince anyone. There's a water source outside, so don't try to claim you're taking anything away from the people here by taking advantage of that.
[Normally Shun wouldn't give that much of a damn, but these people have been through enough. They deserve better than people running at half efficiency.]
no subject
What good are divine healing powers if he can't use them on people who're hurt? Especially when he wasn't here to help in the first place... he winces, summons up a smile, and nods towards the door.]
Can you show me where it is?

food!
But this man looks totally worse for wear. Isn't food supposed to make you feel better...?
So Florian runs over, holding out a bowl of rice to him. ]
You look like you need something to eat!
no subject
Tsuzuki reaches for the bowl with a cheerful grin.]
... You don't happen to be a god, do you? Or a shinki?
assuming this is one of the cases where they got no explanation in the intro PLS CORRECT ME IF NOT
I don't know... I just was here all of a sudden. But I don't know how I got here and or what's going on except people needed help when they started talking to me finally.
[ and then he threw himself into that because he is a Good Child and also it made it a lot easier to not think about this whole What's Going On Where Am I business. ]

You look like a ghost.
[ Ukoku himself, a livelier ghost, has a volunteer's shirt thrown over his shoulder, and a pair of gloves on, still pristine. ]
no subject
Well, sure, I've been dead for ages.
[He winks, cheerfully, and glances at Ukoku's gloves. It looks like he's just changed them.]
So you're helping out with the first aid too?
no subject
Anyway. [ Speaking of which. ] Have you, ah, been at this for a while?

I'd ask if you have a death wish but...
no subject
(He's okay. He's fine. Anyway, it's not like he's talked to anyone here about how he died, and that was a long, long time ago.)
He clears his throat, and tries for a slightly embarrassed smile.]
It's my power! I know, I know, it's kind of gross, but that's just how it works.
no subject
[He makes a dismissive wave of his hand.]
I know a guy who did it for fun and flagellation. I'm just surprised that they'd give you a power that... runs out, literally, at some point. Seems less useful to me.

She definitely hadn't tired herself out trying to heal others too, though. Nope. Never.]
Tsuzuki, it’s time to take a break! Don’t you think?
no subject
[There are a couple. Tsuzuki might be getting a little wobbly, but it's something his body can recover from fast enough if he takes a few hours to rest -- okay, maybe a bit longer than a few hours. He's spent kind of a lot of his blood on healing people this morning. He leans against a stack of boxes and grins at her, sheepishly.]
After that we can take a break, okay?
no subject
Clearly, there was only one thing left for her to do. If Tsuzuki was intent on healing those people, she would just have to beat him to it, right?]
Don’t worry! I’ll go heal them, so you just stay put!
