[Amaterasu had just begun to doze off slightly, drifting in and out of an actual sleep. The sun was warm and welcoming on her fur, and the sound of the waves splashing against the rocks was soothing in the best way. She's tugged from true sleep by a hand running through her fur. One ear flicks, but she doesn't open her eyes, knowing instinctively who the foreign touch belonged to. Her tail thumps slowly against the wet stone twice before it settles again, and she shifts to expose more of her side and stomach.

It's a gesture of trust, though more canine than human. Ammy may be smarter than the average wolf, but she still is apt to behave like one half the time. It's instinct, after all, and as smart as she may be, she can't deny what she is. But a wild animal isn't any of what she really is, just appears to be, Stretching her legs with a high-pitched noise, she settles back into a comfortable position and exhales slowly. This is nice.]

[He didn't really deal much with animals. They weren't generally part of his area of interest. But maybe there was something to having them around after all. The thud of a tail on stone seems strangely welcoming, and soft fur was nice to pet. Calming, though he hadn't been agitated before.

Likely Xehanort's not going to go anywhere for some time. And it seems given she's settling in, Amaterasu won't be for a while either.

There are worse ways to spend a lazy summer afternoon.]
