[At the comment of him being apart of the Far shore, Tsuna nods slowly. As if he's really unsure about that. He's a god, but he doesn't feel like one.]

I guess I am...though I'm not really sure why?

[He looks down at his feet. Somehow feeling a bit of relief. It seems pretty easy to talk this guy especially since he doesn't remember him.]

So, you're a shinki, right? Which god do you serve under?

[So he knows that much, at least. Well, it saves him the trouble. Chikusa doesn't like playing the teacher to new people and, frankly, the only reason he bothers to exert any amount of effort there is because he arrived during an attack on a festival much like this one. Having to deal with people running around with no idea what they were doing, including him...]

[It's more troublesome than explaining is.]

Yes.... Hestia-sama. Who are you?

[Tsuna can enjoy that moment of weirdness from hearing anyone from Kokuyo referring to someone besides Mukuro with a '-sama'.]

[It is weird. Especially knowing how devoted Chikusa is to the one half of his mist guardians. Though he tries not to let it show on his face. Hestia? He should know this but it sounds as if Chikusa serves a goddess.]

Hestia is the goddess of what again? [He never really paid attention to world history in school.]

I'm Vulcan, the Roman god of fire. But please call me, Tsuna.

Goddess of the hearth, and the one who accepts the first and last of every sacrifice...

[The revelation of what god Tsuna is has that cool analytical stare sweep over him. A Roman god....]

...Then... The pantheons would be vaguely connected...

[Tsuna makes a face, probably trying very hard to figure out what does hearth mean? And what exactly does it mean to accept the first and last of every sacrifice? Was that figurative, or was people really sacrificing things that often?]

It seems like the Greek and Roman pantheons are like counterparts of each other. If I represent the Roman god of fire, then there must be a Greek version, right? Maybe there's a Roman version of your goddess too.

[Though, Tsuna didn't really know much about the gods outside of Japanese mythology.]

Hephaestus and Vesta.

[So. Uh. There's your immediate answer, Tsuna. Now you learned something new. Congratulations? Still, that seems to make him stir a bit as something comes to mind.]

...Vesta's role was filled... but now it's not anymore...

[The large crates of food have stopped appearing on the temple's front door step.]

Vesta?

[Like that really means anything to Tsuna, though Chikusa did say something interesting.]

So the gods...tend to come and go? So something that was once filled can be left empty?

Yes.

[....But Chikusa doesn't seem to be particularly happy about it, for all that he never seems to be happy about anything just from sheer dead neutrality. He adjusts his glasses, glancing away and refusing to make eye contact.]

...It's not known where they disappear to... But it's likely not good considering the state that some of their souls have been found in....

Their souls?!

[Now Chikusa is saying something really scary! What did he mean when gods disappear their souls are in a poor state? What happens to them? Why are they even here to fill in?]

W-what do you mean? Have you seen it for yourself?

[This is like the sixth time Chikusa has brought up zombie festival, to varying reactions, and you’d think he would stop…. But nope. There’s just that same dead eyed stare as he looks at Tsuna.]

They were forced into the corpses of other people, in significant pain… and made to attack residents of both shores.

[....He doesn't even sound remotely horrified about this.]

[A chill runs down Tsuna's spine. He couldn't really fathom it. Being forced into a corpse and made to attack people? What if that isn't in your nature? What if you have really high morals? The idea scares Tsuna, but not so much because of the zombie aspect (Although that was very scary too). Somehow he can't help but sympathize with those who were forced to be the undead.]

D-did they get some kind of peace?

[He frowns, somehow afraid to hear the answer. What if they had to suffer to very end?]

And why did something like that happen? If that was going on, shouldn't there be someone responsible?

Who knows.

[Chikusa adjusts his glasses. For all that him, Hakkai, and Yuri investigated... There's still nothing they or really anyone else among the newcomers knows.]

If the Heavens have actually investigated this at all.... They've told no one about it. They might not even be doing anything. Well, it doesn't really matter if they are or aren't.... The lack of transparency leads to the same effect in the end.

[If it sounds like he's distrustful of the Heavens, it's because he is.]

[ Tsuna doesn't like the answer. He's just arrived, and he's already suspicious of the reason why the Heavens have chosen him to be a god. Now he's not sure what to make of them if they can allow such a thing to go on, and not really look into it or address it. What are they then? Playthings? A piece they can manipulate like on a chess board?]

S-so what should we do? Play along, or....[ He doesn't want to propose a revolt since he's pretty ignorant about the situation.]

There has to be some reason they are doing all of this....

You can do whatever you want.

[Sorry, Tsuna... .Chikusa remains as helpful as ever. All he does is nudge the other teen's foot, trying to get him to move forward. He's in a line, thanks, he wants food.]

All I care about is my god.

[....Which almost definitely means murder is going to happen at some point.]

[ Wow, rude!

Isn't it inconsiderate to just drop a bombshell on someone and then just leave them to figure things out on their own?! Maybe that's why Tsuna is stunned as Chikusa nudges him to move up in the line.

Tsuna, of course, moves up in the line, because his body is able to move accordingly, but not his mind. There are other people in line anxiously waiting for taiyaki, and he didn't want to hold them up. You know being considerate, unlike some people!

Then a second or two later, the shock dissipates and Tsuna is able to react, giving Chikusa an incredulous look.]

EEEH?! How can you say that now?!

[Yes, well, it's Kokuyo, Tsuna. Rude is the least of what they are.]

[With the god falling silent, Chikusa almost goes back to ignoring him, and actually sighs at the incredulous question.]

Easily.

E-easily?!

[ How is any of that easy?! Tsuna decides to drop it, because he feels he's not going to get anything more out of Chikusa.

Finally Tsuna gets to the front of the line to make his order. Even if he's still confused about a few minutes ago, he decides to be nice and allow the shinki to order first.]

Which one do you want?

[Wordlessly, he points out something, and the vendor gets to work. While he waits, he glances back down at Tsuna slowly. It's not an unusual thing for other people to not get his train of thought, he's found.]

...I have my god. That's all I need.

[ Tsuna gives his order as well. He's still a bit put off by Chikusa's response. Though Tsuna relents hearing the other teen's later comment. He can't expect people to care about things beyond their control. He does understand what Chikusa means by having "his god is all he needs". He's just putting his focus to what's important to him. Somehow, he can't help but see that same devotion he gives Mukuro in that instance.]

...I guess I understand.

[ Though to be honest Tsuna didn't, he doesn't know what it means to devoted to a person like that. Though, he knows what it means to focus on one goal at a time.

It's not long before the vendor whips up their orders. The taiyaki cooks really fast and it's still extremely hot.]

Well thanks for telling me all of that.

[Even if he's still not sure what to do with the information.]

The Heavens won't bother to tell any of us anything or remind us of things...

[Accepting his takoyaki, he starts to shuffle away.]

...So we have to spread information ourselves. Or else we're useless when something big happens...

[And, when it comes to events like that festival, there's always that concern. It's the main reason Chikusa is even here at all, for example, besides the free food.]

[Tsuna wonders why the Heavens will keep such information to themselves. Though he could understand why Chikusa is telling him these things. So Tsuna could continue to spread the word. The more knowledge a person has, the more prepared they are to handle a situation. Perhaps this is what Chikusa wants to achieve.

He notices the other starting to part ways with him. Tsuna doesn't intend to stop him.]

Then I'll do my part, too. I'll tell whoever is willing to listen.
