Amaterasu? No, I do not believe I've met her yet. Or, if I did, she did not give me her god name.

How long approximately would you guess that she's been here then?

It's hard to say for sure, but for a while, I'm guessing. She's known as the Queen of Heaven, after all.

She was not brought here like the others then was she?

[Johan shakes his head.]

Not that I'm aware of, no, but for whatever reason, there are some people who are out to get her.

[Naoto's expression turns more serious and focused.]

You're referring to the recent arson cases here, aren't you? I heard about them. You're saying they were set specifically to target Amaterasu?

[rainbowmaster]

[Ah, so she has heard about it.

Johan frowns a bit.]

I'm not sure what it is I'm saying exactly, but Amaterasu definitely seems to be someone they're targeting. Probably not specifically, but she's a well-known figure in the Heavens to have earned some animosity.

[fortune_detective]

[Naoto touches a hand to her chin momentarily. Johan's account is the second she's heard of this incident, further compounding her interest in the incident.]

Hmmm... so do you think the motive was purely based off animosity towards her position and title? Or could it be for something she's done or said?

[How did this turn into an interrogation?

Johan rubs the back of his head.]

Personally, it might be her position and title, but you might be better off asking the others who's been here longer than I have.

[Naoto nods her head, seemingly satisfied with the answer. Sorry, Johan, she practically does not even realize that she's doing it. It's the detective part of her that never seems to switch off.]

My apologies for dwelling on such a serious topic. I just one further question. Do you know of any individuals in particular who have been around longer that you would recommend I try talking to should I wish to learn more?

[Johan taps his chin in thought.

He actually hasn't spoken to--Oh, wait.]

Look for a guy named Nekhbet. He's been here longer than I have, and I believe he's been investigating it lately, too.

["Nekhbet?" Naoto feels like she's heard that name already. She replays the events of the festival in her mind up to now, and then her eyes go wide with realization.]

You mean Kurosaki Shun? I met him a little while earlier.

[rainbowmaster]

[Okay, so she has met Shun.

Johan gives a nod.]

Yeah, him. If you want to ask more questions about it, he's a good person to get some answers from.

[fortune_detective]

[When she met Shun earlier, she did not have any knowledge of these incidents that pre-date her arrival. Now that she is aware of them, and as a keener sense of interest builds in her, she'll likely try to contact Kurosaki Shun again to see if he might be willing to share what he knows with her.]

[She nods her head. On that note, she again realizes she's been holding a shaved ice this whole time which has now begun melting significantly.]

Yes, you're right. This is not a particularly appropriate topic of conversation for such an occasion is it?

[He chuckles.]

No, but we can always talk more once the festival has passed.

[That being said, he goes to get some napkins for her once he realized how melted her shaved ice has gotten.]

[Naoto smiles gratefully at Johan.]

I'd appreciate that.

Thank you for the napkins as well.

[She takes a moment to clean herself up a little.]

So aside from a shaved ice melting down your arm, what else would you recommend I try in order to get the full festival experience?

[A pause as he thinks about it.

Then he grins.]

There are always the games to try out.

[Now that she's wiped up the mess of her shaved ice, she returns to trying to finish what little of it still remains before that too melts away.]

Hmmm, any in particular that you enjoy?

[He rubs the back of his head.]

Hm, how about the goldfish catching game?

I'd be willing to give it a try, but aren't the goldfish typically given to you as the prize? I don't exactly know where I'll be staying yet, so I might not be able to care for it appropriately.

I don't mind holding onto the goldfish for you until you figure out where you're staying.

[fortune_detective]

[She blushes slightly at the generous offer.]

Ah, you don't have to do that. I wouldn't want to impose on you so.

It's no problem!

[He grins at her reassuringly.]

Like I said, I don't mind.
