Gods, she was really insistent on this, wasn't she? Turning her head to the side, to look out at the water, the older blond puts a hand to her cheek. This girl isn't going to let this go, is she ]

Something like that is really important to you, isn't it?

[ Ah, that would be rude, wouldn't it? And to answer that question... ]

...It's complicated.

[ Lux slows to a stop toward the middle of the bridge, chin tipped downward toward the night sky. Her eyes snagging on the reflection of the moon. She speaks slowly, each word very carefully thought out. ]

It isn't that I don't have someone special to me; that isn't it at all. But I don't think doing something like crossing a bridge together would change who we are, or how either of us feel about one another. I think... I don't understand it entirely myself.

[ Her hands resting on the railing, Lux looks up, a small, almost bittersweet smile spreading across her lips. ]

As a shinki, I don't remember much, and that can be confusing. And there are times when this feeling can be confusing as well—confusing and frightening both. But I'll never doubt it for a minute, the way I feel about that person, who we are and what we mean to each other.

[ Someone she loved..? W-wait a minute, did Sakura really think—!

Turning quickly, looking positively aghast, she seems to almost glow in the moonlight (mostly because, well, she might actually be glowing a little at that). Lux waves her hands somewhat dismissively, brows knitted upward in mild embarrassment. ]

He and I aren't—!

[ Like that, she almost says, then catches herself suddenly. Because, being the sort of woman she knew herself to be, the one who needs to define things, to understand them... to put a word like that felt so weirdly uncomfortable yet at the same time...

Not completely inappropriate? One that might explain a few things?

[ But the younger goddess is quick to move on—not quite change the subject—and for that Lux is grateful; she has something else to gravitate toward. That glow of hers settling in her hands, she tucks them into her sleeves (how embarrassing). A peaceful smile finally settling on her lips as she sighs gently through her nose, shoulders shrugging as she does. ]
