[open] A padlock and a dragon
Who: Yuto and you
When: July 11
Where: Various places in the Near Shore
What: Yuto finds a small padlock necklace, then Yuto in dragon form flies around.
A. A mysterious padlock
[When Yuto woke up this morning he noticed a small strange padlock on a string wrapped around the doorknob in his room. At first he thought it may be something from Hajime, but it wasn't. A prank from Davesprite then? But why would he do something like that?
It was strange and yet Yuto couldn't leave that padlock behind. He took it with himself and now that he's sitting on the rail of the bridge, he's inspecting the golden item with narrowed eyes. It looks like someone made a necklace from a rather small padlock. Maybe the person who did it lost the key but didn't want to throw this thing away?]
I wonder why it was in my room... [He says out loud.]
B. A dark dragon
[Later that day a dark shadow can be seen up in the sky of the Near Shore. Its shape is that of a black dragon and it would be no surprise if one thought it was a dragon-like ayakashi.
The dragon flies around, seemingly looking for something, then it carefully and slowly lands on a rooftop of a building and watching the streets from above. Its yellow eyes glow, but it's obvious nobody sees it.
Thankfully the dragon isn't big and it seems to be careful not to move its tail too much to not damage anything.
And it keeps on watching.]

B
Yuto? What're you doing?
[It's not usual for Yuto to just be cruising around in his vessel form, is it?]
no subject
When the other appears suddenly on the rooftop, Yuto looks at him warily, then relaxes visibly when he sees it's Sora.]
...You could say that I'm patrolling. [He pauses, then goes back to watching the streets.] And practicing flying, too. [Or at least he was doing that before he perched himself here.]
no subject
Sora looks over the way Yuto does as if trying to spot something Yuto might be seeing that he can't see.]
Patrolling? And I guess with big wings like yours you have to stay in practice.
no subject
[He's not that useful in most of situations and the reason for that is simple - the size of his dragon form can be pretty troublesome.]
no subject
Is it hard to fly?
[Sora's going to reach out and touch one of Yuto's wings too. Cool, it's leathery.]
no subject
[At first he flinches a little at the touch, but then he moves his wing so Sora could touch it.]
no subject
He chuckles happily when Yuto moves his wing and then runs his fingers across the appendage. It's really neat.]
You know, there was a world I went to once where I could fly. I can only glide now without the help of that world. You're lucky you can fly whenever you want to.
no subject
As Sora runs his fingers over his wings, Yuto realizes he not only doesn't mind, but kind of likes that little touch. Is this a sign he's turning into a real dragon?]
Do you really think I'm so lucky? This form is big and sometimes can be of no help at all.
[He looks at him for few moments longer, then suddenly asks:] Do you want to fly again?
no subject
Really lucky! There's nothing like being able to fly around with all the freedom you could want.
[His eyes goes wide.] Huh? Yeah! I mean...
[Is Yuto saying he'll give Sora a ride??]
no subject
I guess you're right.
[Though, flying has its downsides too.
As for the other part... this is exactly what Sora is thinking.]
Then you could fly on my back.
[And he lowers his body so Sora could hop onto his back if he wants to.]
no subject
[Sora says that... But he's already moving to climb aboard. It's a little awkward and a little clumsy. He tries his best not to hurt Yuto on the way up.
But once he's up there he holds on.]
Whoa, this is kinda crazy!
no subject
[He wouldn't offer otherwise and there's an almost amused note in his tone. Sora didn't even wait for his answer, after all.]
I know it's crazy, but hold on tight, okay? I don't want you to fall.
[And he tries to slowly take off from the rooftop.]
no subject
[Sora lets out a yelp as Yuto takes off. It's such a strange feeling. Kind of dizzying and makes his stomach drop. Then he's grinning widely.]
Whoa!!
no subject
[Hearing a yelp makes Yuto worry a bit.
He flaps his wings a few more times, before slowly flying forward.]
no subject
I'm awesome!!
[Sora is holding onto Yuto tight but he's pretty quick at letting go and letting his arms go up in the air. The feeling of the wind and the air swooshing over him is the best. He's not scared at all.]
Go fast, Yuto!
no subject
Yuto glances at him still flying slowly.]
Didn't I tell you to hold on tight?
[So please don't let go of him or else he won't ever fly any faster.]
no subject
[Sora flusters in embarrassment before holding on again.]
But you can go as fast as you want, Yuto! I can handle it! Promise!
[Gotta go fast!]
no subject
I know, but I still don't want you to fall.
[He doesn't like taking chances. Gotta be careful.
But he will fly faster now. And higher.]
no subject
[Sora lets out a happy whoop as soon as Yuto goes faster and higher. The feeling of flying is too much fun. He's laughing in delight.]
Ahhh!! Yuto!! This is the best!! Do a flip!
no subject
[Yuto sighs. He's happy that the other is enjoying the flight, but he's not going to be making any flips and turns and whatever else may be on Sora's mind.
This is actually the first time he's allowing anyone to ride on his back, so he has all the right to worry about how this will go.]
no subject
This is really amazing! I can't remember the last time I've been in the air like this!
no subject
Yuto gains a little more speed and flies high above the city.]
I'm glad you like it... just don't expect me to make any tricks in the air.
[He tries to make himself clear!]
I don't want you to fall. [Yes, he's repeating himself.]
no subject
I won't fall, I'm holding on tight, I promise. [He is!!!] Just do one single flip, Yuto! I know you can do it, you're the best dragon and your brave. It'll be good practice!
no subject
I know I can do it, but not when you're on my back. So it's not about me being brave or not. It's about your safety.
[And "no" means "no".]
So don't even try. You won't convince me to do it.
no subject
Sora pouts and barely contains a mild whine.]
Aww, come on, Yuto. Just one flip?
[He's been thrown around and has ridden things way worse than Yuto before. Trust him.]
