Hopefully that's the way it is for Fuujin and Kaede.
But he reaches to take his hand without missing a beat, shrugging a shoulder. ] Suijin was easy to talk to, even if we weren't sure about it at first.
[ Time to check out this god, though. ]

It's clear that visitors to Fuujin's home are not a common thing as the shinki looks very confused. But he doesn't greet them. Instead he quickly darts off inside the temple, leaving the visitors there to alert someone of their strange arrival.
Luckily they don't have to wait long as Kaede comes walking out soon after. She blinks at the pair, their hair colors giving her a 'christmas vibe'. It's cute. She lifts her sleeve to hid the tiny smile already pulling on her lips. It takes her a moment to figure out who they are. No one ever arrives uninvited so this could only be-]
Aidos-sama?
[It's said with a bit of question as she walks closer. They had spoken over the BBS before but this is the first time she's actually met him in person. She'll assume Shouto is his shinki. She doesn't bow but she does give a polite nod.]
Ah, it's a pleasure to finally meet you face to face. I am Kaede. Fuujin's exemplar. I truely appreciate this.

[He nods as he's addressed. They've only talked on the network so far, but that's not too surprising. There's a lot of people he's only known from the network. But when it comes to the older gods it's a little more intimidating.
Kaede is at least a friendly face, if not a familiar one.]
It's good to meet you. I'm not sure how much we can help, but I'd like to.

It's all very simple. Hopefully things are just as simple.
He turns his attention back to them. ] Shouto. [ She gave one name, after all, and he doesn't mind using his given name. ] Is there anything you wanted us to focus on?

Your assistance is appreciated no matter the outcome. I wouldn't of asked if I did not think you and your shinki were not capable. I have faith in you both.
[Please don't be too nervous. Her pale gaze shifts to Shouto, a bit taken by his hair color and the burn scar over one of his eyes. It makes her curious but that would have to be for another time.]
It is nice to meet you as well, Shouto-san. Fuujin-sama is a bit....
[She waves her hand as if searching for the right words. But not before glancing left and right-]
Thickheaded. A lot of the newer gods have made him wary due to their continued talk of home. It has become common of multiple people to be from the same world. Gods and Shinki alike. I do not know the reason but it makes Fuujin-sama very uneasy. I believe what Fuujin-sama needs is some reassurance that not all new gods are solely focused on their past worlds and are here to help this one.

When somebody grows up in a world, it makes sense to think about it, even when they're displaced. But at the same time... if we're here now, it makes sense to do as much good as we can for however long we're here.
I can't speak for everyone, of course. But I'd like to help as much as I can.

We're not natives, but this is home now. For as long as we're here. If people want to go back, that's for them to figure out, but it's pretty secondary to what's going on right now, since it's a more immediate threat that needs taken care of.
[ Shouto considers it. ] You can't go home if things fall apart here.
