Don't Stop and ride upon the wind [OTA]

(A) Training – abandoned temples/around

[Be it alone or with Shizuo, Izumo or Hitsu; Goten really does enjoy training. It’s an outlet for all his energy and for a small kid he has a lot of it to spare. He had spent a couple days trying to sneak up on Izumo and it took a lot more effort than he thought. Even with the use of the shinki spell, Umbra, that wasn’t enough to sneak up on the older shinki. So that just meant he needed to train more, right?

This time around he’s trying to work on a little bit of everything. Borderlines for a while, ki Chi blasts, punching through large rocks or broken structures of the abandoned temples. When he isn’t darting around, he’s catching his breath on the ground or chugging down one of the water bottles he brought along.]

(B) New addition - Icarus - Various places

[There has been a new addition to the Forseti household. A purple dragon had shown up in Goten’s room a few days prior and though it was a surprise the two were quick to become friends. If anything, the dragon almost seemed overly friendly like he already knew the younger shinki before but Goten didn’t pay too much mind to it. This wasn’t something appeared in his room randomly anyway. First it was Nimbus, then those weird green beans and now a dragon! Finding a name for the dragon is a bit of an issue since everything Goten comes up with is grunted or snorted at. Who knew dragons could be so moody about names?

Regardless, the pair can keep themselves entertained fairly well. Various games of fetch, to racing around temples or just wrestling around with Goten laughing. The dragon may be nameless but it is ridiculously friendly and quick to perk up to new faces.]

(C) Chickens - Near Aditi's temple

[The chickens, for whatever reason, are one of the charms for Goten of Sharak’s place. He is free to visit almost any time he wants as the barrier surrounding Aditi’s temple does let him come and go. He forgets the barrier is even there half the time. Especially when it comes to running around and chasing a few of the hens or running away from the mean rooster that looks over them.

So, when one hen gets loose and ventures out from the temple, Goten is after it almost instantly. But chasing the poor bird is just getting it further and further from the coop. Already dirty with white feathers sticking out of his hair, Goten dives for the hen just as it hops out of his reach. No matter how fast or strong the young shinki gets, the chickens are just amazing at dodging him. Rubbing his face clean of dirt on the back of his sleeve, Goten continues running after the flightless bird.]

Come back! I don’t think you’re supposed to go this far from Sharak’s temple! You’re gonna get lost!

(D) - Blond is the new black - Forests/Training Grounds/Near Hitsugaya's temple

[Getting use to turning blond has been something that has been at the top of Goten’s priority list. Since the accident with Izumo, he’s been really worried about this form but he does have better control of it now thanks to a certain child-sized white-haired Shinigami.

With the advice, he’s trying to keep up this blonde form for at least the entire day as instructed. It started in the morning and now in the later afternoon he is looking a little tired. Blond spiky hair and bright green eyes replace his usual dark features. Anyone that can sense or feel energy will fill it practically radiating from Goten. He is staying clear of the temples though, staying more towards the forests, abounded temples or a little closer to Hitsugaya’s place just to be safe and not to break anything. But he’s trying to just have fun by looking for frogs or things to do. He had planned to try and study but after accidentally tearing one of the math books in half which is on the ground a few feet away....yeah he doesn’t want to make Yukine or Hakkai mad.]

(E) Water-guns - Various Temples/Places

[The gift from Yona has been one of the best ones he’s ever gotten! Like any kid with a new toy, he must use them! Sneaking around various temples that belong to other gods, Goten keeps an eye out for an unsuspecting target. The only people that are safe from the demi saiyan’s water guns are Sharak and Aymeric, everyone else is free game. Typically taking aim from the sky thanks to his ability to fly or ducking around something quick, he squirts the water gun before running off and trying to stay out of sight.]

[Suddenly, the responsible adult is in the way. Sharak, where did you come from? Don't worry about it, she's there now, with her usual frown.]

I could only be so lucky.

[Well, actually, the hens are fairly pleasant when they're not being menaced by monkeys. Sharak kneels down and picks the chicken up as it attempts to run past her, since she's apparently harder to dodge than a Super Saiyan.]

I hope you're all getting along, Goten... Chicken.

[Be friends, both of you.]

[How is she suddenly there!?

Goten blinks, digging his heels into the ground as he has to skid to an abrupt stop in an attempt to not slam into the god. Luckily he manages to lose the speed but stopping does take a slight bump and practically hugging Sharak's waist to steady himself. He probably could have moved to the side or kicked off into the air but who thinks about those things?

Instantly he lets go and raises his head to look up at her.]

Sharak! Whoa, where'd you come from?

[His gaze goes to the chicken as he stares in awe]

You got her!

[Magic grown up powers, Goten.

Sharak tucks the squawking chicken under her arm, upside-down, so she can put one hand on Goten's head when he's suddenly attached to her.]

Wasn't I here the whole time?

[Was she?? Who knows. She looks down at the chicken, still squirming to get free, though there's not much it can do about that in it's current position. It's possible the chickens are used to this kind of treatment from Sharak by now.]

Is that what you were trying to do?

[Teach him how you do that. He wants to know about magic grown up powers too!]

You were?

[He might look even more amazed or confused now. He's honestly not sure. Sure they were around her temple but he hadn't seen her around.]

Yeah, I was trying to catch her before she got too far away from your place. Without Mr.Rooster with her, I don't think she'd do good this far away.

[But he might be at fault for startling the poor hen into running away in the first place. Really he just wants to play! It's harmless.]

[The trick is to be silently waiting in the temple at the top of the hill, to be able to teleport, and to also be dealing with a distracted seven-year-old. ]

Mm, maybe not. [Sharak idly starts scritching the chicken's stomach to make her calm down.] But I don't think she'd have tried to run this far if something hadn't been chasing her.

["something"]

[Teleporting is cheating]

I donno, she still got pretty far!

[He doesn't see what you're implying Sharak. He was just trying to catch the chicken to take her back home. That doesn't count. Besides, the chickens should be use to his games! The younger ones play more then the mother hens. Maybe that's it.

His eyes trail over to the chicken curiously]

You're really good with them, Sharak. How do you do it? You're like a chicken lady!

[Sharak scoffs lightly under her breath.] Well, if I'm going to be known for anything...

["Chicken lady" it is. Clearly that's her claim to fame. Sharak kneels down and holds the now much calmer chicken out for Goten.]

Hold her like this, close to your chest. Don't squeeze too tight and don't make too much noise. We can take her back to the coop like this.

[Goten can think of lots of names for Sharak, but chicken lady really is in the top five. He blinks owlishly as she kneels down and offers him the bird. Looking between Sharak and the hen several times he steps forward and holds out his arms to slowly take the bird which is a bit harder to hold in his smaller arms but he manages! He tries to mimic the hold but it ends up looking more like he's hugging the bird protectively.]

Okay...I think I got it.

[And now he's whispering.]

Don't worry Henny. Stark and me will get you back home in no time. You're super safe with us.

[He grins at the bird before lifting his head to beam up at Sharak too too. No one would dare mess with them---which actually reminds him.]

Hey Sharak, can I ask you somethin'?

[Sharak will hold on to this image of Goten hugging a chicken in his tiny arms for a long time. It's a good image. Something to make her smile when everything else seems bleak and hopeless. His hands are so tiny, it's hilarious.]

That's right. You couldn't ask for a better escort, "Henny". [What kind of name is that... Well, it's not like she's come up with anything better. Sharak smiles back down at Goten and starts to lead him around and down the hill towards the chicken coop.]

Of course. You can ask me anything, Goten.

[And then he can see if she'll answer.]

Yep!

[He agrees with her proudly, there's even a bit of a pep in his stride as if he's returning from a big successful mission with Sharak. He has little names for all the birds. Just not the rooster. It's hard to name something that just wants to peck and chase you away.]

How come Shizuo and Izumo are scared of you? I was talkin' to them the other day and I wanted to sneak up and surprise you like I did when we first met, sort of, but they didn't want to and just told me it would be bad.

[The most important mission.]

Hm? Are they scared of me? [Like it's a surprise.] I thought they were braver than that. It's not like I've even picked on either of them that badly.

[She's so approachable???]

I think so....at least a little bit! They said there's stuff I can do with you that they can't. When I told them it'd be okay they both looked worried and didn't want to. Shizuo even said if I did sneak up on you, to make sure to tell you they didn't tell me too. They didn't anyway....

[It was his idea, but it's just confusing. Sharak is great. They shouldn't worry about her.]

You train with Shizuo, right? I wanted to watch but he said I'd be bored.

[He adjust the chicken a bit, but is gentle with her. Sharak really does know her chickens! He's been so tempted to take one of the eggs home and try to hatch it but he also doesn't want to make one of the momma chickens sad.]

Oh! I named that one yellow hen you have Shizumo! You know the one, right? It kinda looked like them. [And that's also the name he called Shizuo for awhile before he actually got to know the blond. Izumo and Shizuo do look like twins]

So they're both scared and they're also keeping secrets from me... What troublesome boys.

[They're grown men, Sharak. She's evidently pondering all of this while they walk and talk.]

You would be bored, Goten, we weren't doing any fighting. Our training isn't as exciting as yours is.

[Mostly sitting around or throwing rocks at Shizuo's head. Which is fun for a little while, but it does get old. As they get closer to the chicken coop, Sharak opens it's door so that Goten can let Henny inside.]

Shizumo is a good name for her. Though I don't think she's as cowardly as those two.

Don't get mad Sharak. I think they just over think stuff! And that's what Izumo said about the training too but I still wanted to see! I know I'm not good at medi...'meditatson' but I still wanted to see.

Here Henny. Home sweet home.

[Goten kneels down and sets the hen on her feet next to the coop. She looks side to side before heading off in side making Goten smile that much more. Chicken rescue success! Now he knows how to pick them too. Sharak is like the chicken master!]

I think they're both pretty brave, they're just scared when it comes to you. Maybe it's cause they really care about you?

[He's guessing. Standing back up, he pats his hands together and looks up at her]

... Maybe next time you can join us.

[It might actually be helpful to have a third party present for future training sessions with Shizuo. Sharak is determined to proceed as if nothing happened, but perhaps keeping Goten around would be an acceptable concession. He should make things less awkward, at least.

Sharak closes the coop door, nodding in approval at Goten's newly acquired chicken mastery.]

I'm not sure they care about me particularly. [Wow.] ... Would you like to play a little joke on them, Goten?

Is it boring?

[He doesn't want to fall asleep, Sharak. But he is willing to give anything a try at least once. Maybe he can make it more fun if it is slow and boring as Izumo says]

I think they do. [He frowns up at her in protest. Who wouldn't love Sharak? Shizuo likes hanging out with her obviously. Izumo is just busy. But the frown doesn't last long as she grabs his attention almost instantly]

A joke? What are you thinking about, Sharak?

[He's already on board with this]

It isn't meant to be fun. It's not like sparring.

[Which is meant to be fun? Well, for some people. Sharak lets the comment about them caring about her slide- it's a touchy subject at the moment. If Shizuo's been checking her out this whole time when she's been telling him she's not interested in that sort of thing, she has to wonder how meaningful his feelings for her are. Izumo and her just aren't that close.]

You want to play a game with me, right? Like when we met? I don't mind that. [It was cute.] You can tell Shizuo and Izumo that as well. Maybe we can find out what's got them so scared.
