Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

[ She browses the table, looking over the dolls with a nervous interest before moving onto other small trinkets along the spread. She's new here, she's suddenly been informed that she has a nice place to live in, and she's looking for cute things to decorate the place with!



She is also looking for old video game counsels and game to have because she hasn't laid a finger on one in over a decade. Not since she left the modern world for an 1800s-fantasy-Japan almost ten years ago. ] Hmmm... [ She ponders thoughtfully. ] Do you have any new versions of the Gameboys?

[diehardreaper]

[ The dolls seem normal enough. At least until she blinks. Was one of them staring at her? Nah. Definitely not. If anything, Ronald doesn't seem to notice until she speaks up. Her question though is met with a look of mild confusion. ]

A... gameboy?

[ He's a few centuries too early for any of those things, unfortunately. ]

[ This guy doesn't know what a gameboy is?!

No no, that can't be right. Everyone knows what a gameboy is. So she continues: ] You know, for playing-- [ Insert culturally popular video games circa late 90's-mid 2000's. Pokemon. Dragon Quest. Etc etc. Things that have already been 4th walled within reason. ]

Oh! Right... ah... video... games, were they?

[ Yup, definitely way too early for those. ]

I've heard my mate, Rin, talk about them once or twice so if I had any... he might've snatched them up before I could even lay them out for sale. S'not exactly something I'd likely find lying about, sorry sweetheart.

[ But! Ronald is definitely not one for lost opportunities. ]

By the by, m'sure I would've remembered the name of a cute bird like yourself. Did you just arrive?

[ She's disappointed that there aren't any video games in heaven, but--

"Cute"?? Oh no Sanae is such a cinnamon bun that she's susceptible to compliments like that. ] M--mm! [ She nods, a hand going to scratch her cheek shyly. ] I'm new. My name is Sanae Kochiya. [ What else what else-- ] And I'm the, um, god of miracles.

So! There's a lot I need to learn about this world. [ A pause, and then she looks at him, insisting: ] But...! If there's anything you need, don't hesitate to ask! [ That's what miracles are for, yo. ]

Miracles, eh? Wouldn't think you could bring back a missing arm?

[ He's half teasing, though. As much as he's missed his left arm, he's gotten used to not having it.

He does, however, reach his right hand over for what could be a handshake. ]

Ronald Knox, at your service, miss. Also goes by Baron Samedi so... Baron's fine if you'd rather. I've only been here, a while but I'd be happy to help if I can.

[miraculo]

[ She's about to answer that she's never tried actually bringing back an arm, but then he offers his hand. ] Knox-san. --Or maybe "Mr" Knox? [ She will use his actual name, because it would be weird to call someone anyone but who they think they actually are, in her opinion. This "Baron Samedi" must be a god of some sort, although she doesn't recognize the name at all. ]

I suppose that means you'll be my sempai. [ A laugh. ] If I happen to do anything wrong, just let me know! There are just so many new things to learn about this place, after all-- and I'd hate to step on any toes too soon. Many people think that miracles do lots of things, but even if I used them on myself, they wouldn't make me infallible, you know? [ Or maybe he doesn't know. Meh. It's not like she really uses them on herself, anyway. ]
