007 | Clean Up Your Act
Who: Everyone!
What: Spring cleaning
When: All day April 15
Where: All around the Heavens
Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.

Main Hall
While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.
Suprises
Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.
Complimentary Dinner
After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.
Counselling
As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

surprises!
He picks up his pace a bit, if only so he doesn't miss anything, although he pauses well out of the way of any danger.]
Hello, Hakkai-san! Do you want any help?
no subject
[Please don't mind him leaping in as he speaks, grabbing one of the thing's legs and spinning gracefully into a kick that propels him back, out of range, tearing the limb out of its socket in a spatter of ichor and dangling spidery tendons.]
I think I have this under control. Could you collect the parts, please?
[Dismembered spider leg getting tossed your way to free his hands up. Catch!]
no subject
He throws his hands up to catch it anyway--since he definitely doesn't fancy having dismembered body parts smack him in the face--and somehow manages to keep a hold of his broom too.
Still, he's nothing if not adaptable, and it's not like it's a human body part, so he's soon looking around for a good place to put it.]
Just in a pile or do have something to collect them in to make it easier to take them out somewhere?
no subject
A pile--
[He'll have to dodge, here, because the creature has gotten over the shock and pain and is grabbing viciously for him with its remaining hands. It manages to tear a corner of his apron before he catches a leg and crushes through the exoskeleton at the joint.]
-- will have to --
[He ducks under its heavy, hair-clotted body: the thing has surprisingly large eyes, big and dark, almost human as they swivel frantically in their sockets to follow his movement.]
-- do!
[He drops down as the creature rears up, and sweeps a leg around, knocking its legs on one side out from under it and forcing it to collapse heavily to the ground with a noise like a watermelon being dropped on astroturf.]
no subject
[Just piling them somewhere is perfectly fine with him. He finally picks a spot maybe a foot behind him and unceremoniously drops the spindly leg to the floor. (It's right in the path, but if it's not going to be staying there, that's fine, right?)
Then he turns back to watch Hakkai be amazing and keep an eye out for any more flying body parts. Or for any opportunities to duck in and grab something that didn't end up flying.]
You do seem to have it pretty well under control.
no subject
[He'd be blighted to the elbows by now if it were with all of the ichor that's flying around. Hakkai rolls up onto his shoulders to plant a hard kick in the center of the creature's abdomen. Chitin cracks under the blow and it screeches, dripping fangs just visible in the mouth half-hidden by its hair.]
Just some sort of normal youkai, I suppose.
[Also, importantly, it attacked him first, making it fair game. Catch this additional leg he's twisting free and tossing your way. It does have far more than a spider's eight: maybe two dozen in total.]
no subject
We'd both be in a lot of trouble if it was an ayakashi. [Unless they ran into Elsa right around the corner maybe.] And I'd have to have some words with whoever decided to trap it here.
[He squats down with his broom balanced between his stomach and his legs so he can see everything a little better.]
Be careful of the venom. I can't help with that much either.
no subject
[And big. And it might've been a real problem for someone who wasn't both as good in a fight and feeling quite so motivated to kill something as Hakkai feels right now.
There's something wonderfully straightforward about just having an enemy in front of him, with no complicated motives but a mutual desire to kill.
He curves his hands around each other, gathering energy, and slams one palm into the creature's side with a sudden, subdued glint of light around his hand. The spider-creature rears up, shrieking in agony apparently out of proportion to the attack, and slumps sideways. There's a surprisingly large hole blown in its body where Hakkai's palm struck, almost large enough to tear the carapace in two. He pulls out a handkerchief and starts wiping thin ichor fastidiously off his fingers, looking down at the twitching corpse.]
Certainly not the sort of thing I'd like to see one of our younger shinki open a door to find.
no subject
He doesn't even particularly love this kind of violence, but that doesn't mean he can't appreciate the skill and power behind it, or feel somewhat envious of it.]
Mmm-hmm, very powerful...
no subject
[That's quite a stare. Hakkai blinks at him, folding the handkerchief neatly so that it won't stain his slacks before he puts it back into his pocket.]
Is everything all right?
no subject
Sorry, I was just thinking...I haven't seen you fight anything before. I can see why Hibari listens to you.
no subject
[...He hasn't, has he? Of course, Hakkai also hasn't fought much, at least not in his human form. And being a sword is quite different. He clears his throat.]
... Yes, in fact, I suppose it is why he listens.
[He had had to defeat the boy a few times before Hibari started listening at all.]
