Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

[ SHE HEARD GROWLING AND BARKING--- SOMETHING BAD MUST BE ABOUT....!

Have a Sanae bursting through the door, broom out, ready to seal some spirits, and----! ] Ah?

[ Oh, it's just a cute dog and a boy. ] ...Er. Is everything alright? [ Just. Making sure. ]

[ Just this look. Even the pup momentarily stops his mad pursuit to bite off his foot when she bursts through the door broom and all. ]

[miraculo]

[ SAME LOOK BACK, BRO. ]

U...um.... [ Awkward. ] S-so. [ A cough. ] Is that a no?

[leashed_hunter]

[ The cough is enough to break the spell and the pup goes back to biting off his foot which only instigates his annoyance. ]

Will you stop it.

[ He tells the pup, nudging it away from him only to have the thing pounce on his foot more fervently which has Zero shifting his eyes to the girl. ]

Is he yours?

[miraculo]

[ Oooh, that's a scary glare. She tries to keep her own expression calm and friendly. ] No-- but he might belong to whoever's temple this is. [ She steps into the room, kneeling down. ] Come, come, little one ♪ [ She hums lightly, her hand outstretched towards the pup. In it appears a treat. ]

I hope he wasn't trapped in that closet for too long. Did you just find him?

[leashed_hunter]

[ The temple... right. This place, it was... ]

He came out of the closet.

[miraculo]

[ The pup moves over to her, and she pets it behind its ears. ] What a good boy, you must have been guarding this place!

But that's okay, this young man was only here to clean out the cobwebs of that closet! [ Somehow, the dog seems to understand her. She's interacted enough with wolf tengu to know that they keep their souls behind their ears.

She looks up to the silver-haired young man. ] ...Do you need any help cleaning?

[leashed_hunter]

[ Light eyes watch the exchange with a hint of curiosity. Her movements along with her words belay a knowledge he's still unaware of which has him staying in place as she shuffles the dog outside. ]

It listened to you.

[miraculo]

[ She giggles lightly. ] It's just a little puppy. They'll listen to anyone who's friendly... or who has food. [ A small treat appears in her hand. ] ...Here you go, little one.

[ The puppy sniffs the treat cautiously before it eats it. ] Try smiling and calling it back to you.

[leashed_hunter]

....

[ He doesn't do either. ]

It's better if it stays with you.

[miraculo]

[ A small frown. ] Oh, but look how he looks at you? How can you say no to this cute face.

[ Look how it wags it's tail when Sanae nudges him over to him!! ] Don't be shy. [ And that is directed towards him, not the dog. ]

[ His eyes shift down to look at the small pup and the sight stirs a memory something familiar. ]

I don't...

[ He couldn't be near animals they were afraid of him. He hesitates unable to recall those memories or recognize his own hesitation as an echo of a life long ended. ]

It's better if he stays with you.

[miraculo]

[ ...This silver haired young man looks so incredibly sad. Oh, no, there is no way she's going to leave him devoid of a puppy that can bring happiness. ] ....Eh?

Um, I'm not asking you to take him. Just to... say hello, if you'd like. [ Perhaps she's reading him wrong. ] Oh-- unless you're afraid of puppies?
