I've been ready!

[Goten answers practically instantly, kicking his feet a little in excitement. This is going to be so great! Sousuke and him are going to have fun! After this they can maybe even plan a camping thing! If he wasn't holding still for Sousuke to grab onto him, Goten would be doing flips and loop de loops overhead just to release some of his energy.

Once he feels Sousuke's arm over his shoulder, his own arm naturally moves around Sousuke's torso, just for added support. His other hand gently grabs onto the offered wrist. While he's fairly certain he would be fast enough to catch Sousuke if he did accidentally fall off or let go, Goten really doesn't want to risk it. This is suppose to be fun, not scary. So whatever support he can give, he'll happily take. The position is easier to work with then the one prior. More thought out and functional. Plus the added bonus of being able to see what's in front of him is always a good thing. After a moment of making sure Sousuke is attached and secure to him, Goten slowly starts to raise up.

He's really resisting just blasting off with his friend. Luckily, something tells him better then that. So it's slow for now as he lifts Sousuke off the ground. He isn't heavy and the weight on his shoulders doesn't bother him at all. If anything, he's more concerned about what Sousuke is thinking.

His gaze shifts over to him once they're a couple feet off the ground and rising. It's when they get just higher then the tree line that Goten stops to float there for a second. Practically the whole area can be seen, with little sakura petals blowing by. It's a pretty sight. He smiles a bit more before flying forward so they can drift above and over all the festivities. ]

We're pretty high now! You can see the whole party from up here!

[Slow down, you crazy child. Sousuke knows Goten’s excited, but he wonders just how much difference their ages are making in their excitement level. HE feels his own rising regardless. The idea of flying, even if he’s not doing it under his own power, is still a gripping idea. A tiny smirk appears at the corner of his lips when he feels those bitty jerks at his grip. Like Goten’d be doing all sorts of aerial acrobatics if he hadn’t been holding onto him.

But he’s settled and—for better or worse—he’s made his agreement. The arm around his torso comforts him, though his heart’s still beating rapidly. A small hand grips his wrist and he gives his own hand a few flexes to make sure the hold is tight. Unfortunately, since Sousuke’s still just wearing his swimming legskins (not that he knows what they area, memories thing), Goten’s going to have to make do with holding onto him barechested. Yeah, the idea of falling is there in his head, but he’s going to trust Goten to either not let him fall or catch him if he does. And… well… he’s dead so does it really matter? ~~That’s a very morbid thought.~~

Once again they’re rising and he stretches down with his legs on instinct until everything comes off with the gentlest of partings. Sousuke clamps his arm hard around Goten’s neck and shoulders without even realizing it. His free arm hangs by his side, ready to grab if he has to. But they’re really going up… and he’s not so shocked about it this time. To the point he can just feel. This strange somewhat weightless feeling. It’s slow and there’s a part of him that’s eager to go higher. But unfortunately, he’s still a little too logical for that right now. Take it slow, take it easy.

When Goten does look over at him, the larger boy isn’t even watching him. He’s gazing down towards the retreating ground, lips slightly parted, eyes wide and intense. A light of excitement, childish and wonder, glows inside his teal gaze, lost among the dream-like feeling of really flying. The pink cherry blossoms that have always curled around the air are now much closer, much freer, and the tree line finally passes below them when they stop. Sousuke’s completely distracted, scanning over the picnickers, the trees, everything he can see. It’s amazing… It’s really amazing.

Only when they move forward does he actually snap out of the revelry with a blink.]

Aa. [A little breathless grin.] When did you learn you could do this?

[His expressions are really interesting! Their faces are much closer then earlier so it's so much easier to see the change even when Sousuke isn't looking directly at him. It's something Goten usually wouldn't be too focused on, but he wants to make sure the older shinki is enjoying himself.

When Goten first ran over to greet him with handfuls of sakura petals, Sousuke's eyes had been so much more vacant and distant. But that seems to be gone, for now. If this can make Sousuke enjoy himself and distract him for at least a little while from whatever he had been thinking then it's even more worth it! It makes Goten's smile that much bigger and brighter too! Even if this flying is slow compared to what he had done prior, it's almost just as fun with a friend on board!]

Uhm....today! I was climbing one of the trees and missed a branch. I didn't want to hit the ground and..I didn't! It sorta just happened!

[Of course once he figured out he could float, he had to try out going higher and other stuff too! It's been smooth sailing from there]

I'll take you flying anytime Sousuke! Doesn't everything looks so small from up here? It's like a different world! It feels great!

[Goten laughs joyfully before picking up a little bit a speed in excitement but nothing drastic. Maybe sometime he can really just blast off with Sousuke but flying is still a pretty new feeling to him too. It's better not to over do it...or maybe he should surprise him again later with it.]

I can go faster too if you want--or higher!

[Well it’s better than Goten’s face being shoved into his back. Even if this does mean the kid’s able to see his expressions a lot more. But he’s not thinking much about that now, far too distracted by the sakura trees floating beneath them and the sight of so many people so far below. It’s still got him in the thralls of amazement, not something so easy to break free of.

Really, it does hit him just how much effort Goten’s put into trying to help him lighten up. From the handful of cherry blossoms to the invitation to lunch and now this… It really is nice. He glances to the side, catching sight of that wide smile out the corner of his gaze. This kid’s got a pure heart. Though pure or not, he’s glad they’re not pulling those loops he’d seen Goten do earlier.]

Today? [he echoes, a brow arching in surprise.] Huh. I wonder if that’s just you or everyone…

[There are gods in this place and don’t gods normally have special powers? Plus the shinki are supposed to help them. But it’s all speculation for the most part. He doesn’t want to get himself too lost in the idea of suddenly being able to fly… but…]

Aa. It does look different.

[The trees normally overhead are now below them and the cherry blossoms aren’t as thick up here. Though they appear more active, wandering around and curling through the sky. He offers a tiny wry smile at the talk about being up here being a different world, but it works out and he doesn’t want to bring down Goten’s mood. Kid stuff, right?

Sousuke blinks as the speed picks up; he feels it on his face. It’s not a lot so he doesn’t start or anything. Though it does pique his curiosity.]

Oy, don’t strain yourself. You just found out you can fly today, right?

Huh? I don't think I am? Flying is easy and you're not heavy at all!

[He offers a reassuring smile but still listen to the advice. He knows Sousuke is just looking out for him and he has a point. Easy and effortless as it may feel, it's probably a good idea not to push it. Especially when he's carrying someone. There will be plenty of time afterward that he'll be able to practice more extreme flying. Like seeing just how fast he can go and such.

The concern is appreciated still. His smile remains but something else comes to mind.]

Hey, Sousuke! I know we just met and you don't much about me and I don't know much about you. [Heck, neither one of them remember anything besides their own names so that isn't surprising at all]

But is it okay if we're friends? You're really cool and I like talking and flying with you. I still wanna go camping sometime too! So I wanna be friends.

[Flying’s easy, he says. Sousuke has to scoff a little, amused.] Maybe for you. [How would it feel to fly on his own power though? This alone feels amazing enough.

He only occasionally looks at Goten, the rest of the time far too distracted by and enjoying the sights all around him. From the clouds to the sky to the trees so far below. There’s some curiosity about just how fast and high Goten can go, but he’d prefer to hear about it back on the ground after the kid’s done setting those records.]

Hm? [He turns to look at the boy. I know we just met. Oy. What is this? That kind of introduction has him arching a brow, slightly bracing for the oncoming comment. But instead of being awkward, it turns into something… else. He blinks and makes a small sound of surprise.

Is it okay if they’re friends? Instead of answering right away, something halts his tongue and he falls silent, looking back down at the ground. Friend, huh… Is that really all it takes to be friends? A few minutes together, some words, a fun memory? But there are future plans, obviously, the want to spend more time together.

Still, “friend” feels like something more in his mind, not something you just toss out after a short while. And yet, Goten’s still young, innocent and pure, and Sousuke really can’t find it in his heart or mind to consider doubting the kid’s sincerity.]

What do you think being a friend means?

[The pause of silence makes him glance over, he absently slows his flying a bit. Was it bad that he asked? Maybe it was too soon? It felt right to ask. What's wrong with being friends? It wasn't like he was asking to marry Sousuke. Gross! They were having fun together and Sousuke seems really nice. Do that have to wait to be friends?

The corners of Goten's mouth drop a bit as he considers. But just as he opens his mouth to question the shinki, he gets his question met with another question. A weird question!]

...

[ Goten squints at him for a second before averting his gaze to think, cheeks poofing out with air. Almost as if he's pouting. He doesn't...actually remember ever having a friend. So maybe he doesn't really know what it means. If anything he had just been speaking his mind openly. But Sousuke's question is really racking his brain.]

Being friend means...um, hanging out, having fun together, doing stuff together, sharing things, eating good food and lots of things...A friend is always someone you can always count on and will always have your back. No matter what! If you're a friend you're never alone.

[As he rambles on, his overthinking gives way towards the end as he starts spouting what he feels it means. He isn't as energetic now, more thoughtful and maybe just a bit self-conscious. His cheeks are a very faint pink, but that could be due to the bit of wind. He forces a frown and his brow furrows before he looks back at Sousuke. It's clearly forced, the corner of his mouth is twitching as he tries not to smile.]

Friends fly together! Even if we're not friends now or you don't wanna be...then maybe later we can.

[Sousuke figures it’s going to be weird, but then again, he doesn’t think that’s the kind of question you can just throw out at someone and expect an answer. He feels the lax in their speed and a twinge of guilt winds through his chest. He really doesn’t want to burn the kid; Goten’s innocent and kind. If he feels it right to ask that question, he’s got every right to. Sousuke, however, still has to answer it.

And his mind wonders what exactly a “friend” is? While some people might toss the word out so easily, something inside him tells him it’s more than that. It takes more than a single enjoyable afternoon to make someone a friend. Doesn’t it take longer than that? How can you know who someone really is so soon so fast? Maybe it’s too heavy for Goten to be thinking about and as Sousuke considers that, he keeps his own mouth shut. Hell, he’s half-surprised he instinctively thinks all this as well.

Over a simple question.]

I see.

[So that’s the answer, hm. Goten’s answer. Well, they’re currently doing all that stuff, with plans and promises to do the rest of the list and more in the future. He knows he’s enjoying himself right now, knows he’ll leave Goten with a small pang when it comes time for them to depart, and will probably enjoy meeting him again in the future. He trusts him too (which is kind of surprising, considering he’s just met the kid and is now literally putting his safety in Goten’s hands).

But when Goten starts spouting, he has to crack some and gives the other boy a small grin, eyes closing in a little, accepting look. That determined, focused answer at the end kind of ties all that rambling from the smaller boy together, doesn’t it.]

Aa. I don’t remember anything, but I feel like being friends take more than that. [Teal eyes open and he gives Goten a small nod.] I trust you. And I want to meet again to do more things together.

So ask me again later. I’ll answer you better then.

[He can respect that answer, though its hard not to feel at least a little bit disappointed by it. Goten is more ready to make friends then Sousuke is, but his reasoning does reach him. It's sound and makes sense. Friendship should take more then flying one afternoon. He gets it but Goten still doesn't feel wrong for asking. He really meant everything he said. Sousuke's reply doesn't change that, he just has to listen and try to understand it. He gets it! He does but that doesn't mean he can't pout about it. The only thing that keeps him from doing so for long is the 'promise' of meeting again and doing things together. He grins, kicking his feet a little in excitement.]

Okay! As long as we can still hang out! You should just tell me when you think we can be friends though! You already know I want to so you should tell me when you want to.

[At least this way Sousuke won't be put on the spot. Goten doesn't know exactly what all it would take for the other shinki to consider him a friend, so its better to just leave it open.

Looking forward, he does another fly through the area before looping back around in the direction they came in. Its a good ten or so minutes before Goten finally flies back to their original spot. He stops just over the picnic blanket and slowly lowers down, trying to place Sousuke on his feet. He could easily keep this up for hours, but he's not so sure about Sousuke since it's his first time flying.]

[Sousuke admits to himself he doesn’t want to disappoint Goten, but he doesn’t think lying to him is any better. Simply put, making friends for him takes longer than an hour of fun and first conversation. He wants to meet with the boy again, obviously, a silent comment that he finds Goten interesting enough to reach out for that potential friendship. The little pout that comes to the smaller boy’s face earns a softer expression from the swimmer, but whether it’s apologetic or an offer to comfort is up to the black-haired boy to decide. At least that—and his words—earn a smile once again. Good a smile looks much more at home on Goten than a frown or a pout.]

Aa. I’ll let you know when I feel ready. [Hard as that might be. He tightens his arm a little around Goten’s shoulders to adjust himself and looks out towards the world so far below them.] This isn’t a feeling I want to forget…

[The freedom of flight. Yes, it might’ve been alarming the first time, but the longer he stays here, even if supported, the more it feels… nostalgic. Like he knows this feeling somehow. It makes no sense, and yet there it is, without a doubt. To be in a place where the ground doesn’t hold onto him and he’s free to move and drift in all directions.

He doesn’t know how long they’re up there, but he basks in it. The wind in his face, the brush of occasional petals or clouds, and the lack of gravity pulling him down. A quiet disappointment slips through him when the ground begins to widen below him and the place where they left comes back into view. Admittedly, it feels weird when his feet touch the ground, and he keeps his arm around Goten for a moment or two before trusting his legs.]

I can see how that’s addicting.

[Goten doesn't press anymore on the friendship thing. He's just really enjoys his time with Sousuke. Flying is great but seeing someone else enjoy the experience just as much just makes it more so. No matter the ups and downs, Goten can't help the smile that's spread across his face. He's already a pretty upbeat kid and the promises of more times to come just make him that much more eager.]

You don't have to forget it. I'll take you flying whenever you want, Sousuke! It's a lot of fun for me too. Maybe I'll be able to go faster then too!

[This definitely has given him motivation to perfect this ability. Though somehow, Goten knows it won't be that difficult. It all comes much to naturally to him. Like something he's been doing for months and months. It's a strange feeling of familiarity that just feels right!

Once he has Sousuke's feet on the ground. He floats there next to him. It's when he doesn't let go right away that Goten sort of catches the hint to stay put just for a little while. They were above the trees for quite awhile]

Hmhm! I told you it'd be fun! You're pretty strong too, Sousuke! You held onto me the whole time. Your arms aren't tired?

[Granted, Goten did sort of counter act some of weight by holding him too but still. Goten doesn't know how long they were up in the sky, but it was a good while. He wanted Sousuke to enjoy himself for as long as possible.]

[Sosuke admits it feels a little strange to be back on land again. Without the freedom to drift in the air, he feels heavier upon his return. The wind on his face doesn’t have the same sensation and his legs seem to be rooted for a little while. He really did enjoy that experience and it’s tempting to abandon the ground and ask Goten to take him back up in the sky. But he holds himself back, knowing he can’t just go gallivanting off into the air all day.]

Heh. You’re going to tempt me with that a lot, aren’t you.

[His voice is softer, but it’s a gentle tease as well when he looks over to the other boy again. Who’s still hovering around him. The idea of going faster doesn’t do anything helpful for his reluctant agreement to stay grounded for now. It’d been a thrill to go as fast as they had.

Once he feels well enough to move, Sousuke silently slips his arm off of Goten’s shoulders and lowers it. He rubs at his arm a few times and rolls his shoulder to return some of the feeling to it. Hadn’t been uncomfortable, but it still needs some feeling rubbed into it again. A soft ‘thanks’ comes out when Goten comments his strength.]

No, not tired. A little numb. [From being crooked over for so long.] But it’s fine, Goten.

[As if to prove it, he lifts both of them and then drops them, letting the pair swing on either side of him now that the blood’s flowing perfect again.]

I had fun.

[He drags out the word teasingly before breaking out into laughter. If promises of flying get Sousuke to hang out with him more, then he'll happily take him flying all the time. It's a fun experience for Goten too. So if they both enjoy it then it obviously needs to happen more often.

It's only when Sousuke does slip his arm off his shoulders that Goten slowly lowers to the ground. He drops down and once his feet touch the ground he starts waving his arms in small circles as if trying to route his shoulders bit. Sousuke isn't heavy. No where near, but its still a weight he isn't use to. They were in the sky for awhile. But Goten is far from sore. But something tell him to stretch anyway, just in case. It's only at the fun comment that he stops.]

..Really?!

[His head lifts up quickly at that. Smile big as ever. He's beaming! Sousuke did have fun with him! Mission success! He clenches his hands into small fists and lifts his arms up before bouncing up and down, throwing his hands in the air. Endless energy here.]

Hahaha! Alright! I had a lot of fun too! It was really cool to fly with you too! You weren't scared t all! We should do it again! And alll the other stuff too.

[Oh great. Sousuke shoots him a look when that word’s dragged out. He’s going to start right now already? Che, this kid’s going to be impossible. The laughter earns a small smile and he scratches at the side of his neck, fingers flicking a stray sakura petal away from his clavicle.

He hadn’t lied; the temptation of flying again is still there, resting inside and excited for the next time. As Goten settles down on the ground again, he casts a surreptitious eye towards him, as if the smaller boy might not stick to the ground even if he wants to. For a second, he thinks Goten’s imitating him with those shoulder rotations. He doubts he’s heavy for the boy to lift; it’s not hard to see the kid’s stronger than he looks and he doesn’t look strained at all.

Sousuke blinks when Goten pauses and asks that and his head twitches backwards in surprise at the sudden, huge grin beaming up at him. Wow… he hadn’t thought that’d be so important to him. Someone’s got some infinite energy, doesn’t he.]

Aa. I’m looking forward to it.

[He holds out a hand, hovering it over Goten’s head, as if preparing to stop him from taking off into the sky again from those excited bounds.]

Keep that up and you’ll take off again.

Me too! So we should do it soon!

[He really is excited for it. This place has been nothing but great to him so far. Friendly people, good food and possible friends. Being dead-- or rather; being a shinki is great! Best thing ever! He beams at Sousuke, still bouncing up a few times and even lightly headbutting Sousuke's hand with each jump.]

That's fine! I'll practice flying some more later so that way we can do more too.

[What they did was great, but if they kept doing the same thing over and over again, then wouldn't it loose it's spark? Goten wants to make things fun for the both of them and keep it that way.]

[The excitement’s obvious, what with the rhythmic ‘bump bump’ against his hand each time Goten bounds up against his palm. It’s nice to feel it though; before he met this kid, Sousuke’d felt like nothing, a drifting wanderer that had no idea what sort of ground he even possessed, much less stood on. Now, however, there’s something in the future for him, a goal and a promise that makes the void-like beyond suddenly have a focus.]

What sort of “more” do you have in mind?

[Asked half curious, half wary. They’d also need to find some way for Goten to carry him without either embarrassing Sousuke or ending up with one of them having a crick in his arm or a rash on his neck. Unfortunatly, with their obvious size different, Sousuke can’t really summon up an answer at the moment. Later then.]

I don’t know what I’ll be doing tomorrow, or even where I’ll be.

[So that “soon’s” going to be a little relative.]

Go faster and farther!

[The answer comes so fast. He doesn't need to think about it. It's obvious! If Sousuke doesn't enjoy it then they can keep flying at a slower speed but Goten really wants to test the limits of this flying thing. He has to! So that way he can show Sousuke another great time in the air. He's eager for it. It'll be a blast! After he finds his god and goes 'home' he's going to start practicing right away!]

Well you gotta be around right? I know we're suppose to meet gods and stuff. I don't really get it yet but after all that is done, we can meet up and do whatever we want! It'll be great! Just don't take forever, okay?

[He stops bouncing now that some of that excess energy finally used. But even as he stands there, he stares up Sousuke as if he's waiting for him to promise him or something. Really just anything to reassure Goten of their next meet up.]

[Sousuke blinks at the fast answer, but the stoic surprise cracks soon enough and a little twitch pulls at the side of his mouth. Before it falls away and he grins at the smaller boy, eyes closed and shoulders lifting some. He’d not thought he’d ever find a reason to smile in this world, and he’d not been here more than a few hours before someone was already pulling a smile out of him. It feels nice, to drop some of the weight this place puts on him.]

All right.

[There’s a faint chuckle in his voice. He’s not going to back away from that chance. Going faster and further than they had today is a thrilling idea. There’s a stupid thought in his own mind about privately asking around if anyone else can fly (because he doesn’t think he can and he’s not about to embarrass himself by trying).]

We’ll see. I might whoever I’m supposed to meet today. Might not. [He’s not at all intending on agreeing to be bonded to a god, no matter who it is. It just feels weird, to think of himself as some unknown person’s… tool or servant or partner even. He nods at the admonishment not to take forever, any resistance crumbling in the gaze of that upturned face. How could he not?]

Aa. I’ll come back to this park in a week, around sunset. How’s that?

[Sousuke's smile just makes Goten's that much bigger. It was a quick answer. He doesn't get why it made the taller shinki grin but he's not going to question it. Maybe he's more excited then Goten originally thought! That's gotta be it! Sousuke just has a heck of a poker face sometimes. If he's excited then that's great! They can both look forward to it then!]

Just give whoever they are a chance. Who knows, you might make a friend! Um, with time!

[He adds that last part real quick. Sousuke wasn't the easiest to befriend. It would take time! Whoever he got as a god would have to be patient. Hopefully Sousuke got someone nice. He had to! That wouldn't be fair if his god was mean. Worse case, Sousuke could leave any mean god and they could just camp out...forever? Or maybe Goten could convince his god to let Sousuke stay. Yep. Camping sounded more fun though. Solid back up plan! As fun as it would be, hopefully it doesn't come to that.]

A week...?

[A whole week? That seemed so long. Shorter then forever though. Just one week. Goten could wait a week! A week to sharpen his flying skills! He nods not a moment after, holding up one finger. He didn't want to, but he could wait that long.]

Okay! One week! Just one! And I'll meet you here, Sousuke!

[Admittedly, he is pretty excited about the chance to fly again. As the grin fades into a calmer, small smile, Sousuke settles into his normal reserved expression. His emotions do come out and he feels them, definitely, but normally he does have the nonchalant, serious face. Just something to get used to. He glances upward to the sky again, remembering the sensation of the wind against his face and the weightlessness… Yeah, he could get used to that.

He’s pulled back to earth by Goten’s admonishment and sighs softly. It still bothers him, knowing he might have to pair up and rely on someone, but…]

Aa. Maybe. I’ll give them a chance.

[Because Goten pulled his leg and asked him. That’s the only reason. Right. Reaching up, he rubs at the side of his neck, wondering just what else this kid’s going to worm him into doing before they part ways. Honestly, Goten’s hard to say “no” to. That’s a dangerous ability. Thinking about his potential god only threatens to damper his mood, so he pushes the thoughts out of his head. So they had flying again and camping to look forward to. He’s still wondering about how the latter one’s going to go. But knowing Goten, he’ll make it fun.]

Aa. A week. You’ve got some flying to impress me with when it’s over, right?

[It’s probably a long time for someone like Goten, but if Sousuke does meet his god, he’s going to want to hang around them and see what he’s going to decide before giving Goten an update. Another little laugh and he closes his eyes after Goten holds up one finger and reminds him of his limit. This kid…]

I got it. Just one. I’ll meet you here.

[He's happy to hear that Sousuke is willing to try and work things out with whatever god he ends up with. While Goten isn't nearly as worried or concerned about being paired with some unknown person and being used as a weapon. He understands it's sort of weird. He's a bit nervous to meet his own god. There were butterflies swirling in his stomach before he spotted Sousuke and the petals. But that doesn't mean he's against it. But nothing good will come of being stand offish right? So hopefully things go smoothly for them both.]

Ahuh! Ahuh! I'll practice extra super hard! No way you won't be impressed!

[He lowers his hand and instead clenches it into an eager fist. That question just gets him beaming brightly again, but this time with confidence. The week would fly by because Goten was going to keep himself busy. Either by meeting more people, helping his god and practicing his flying! Mostly the flying because he has Sousuke to impress now. He's got a mission now.]

Great! This is going to be so cool. I can't wait!

[He’ll try. Because Goten asked him to. But it’s not something he’s really looking forward to. He does have some of the same concerns for Goten; what if this kid gets paired up with some cruel or uncaring god? The idea bothers him more than he wants to let on it and it plays in his mind. If such a thing were to happen, what would Sousuke do? Try and free him, see if his own god would offer some kind of sanctuary, abandon gods altogether and try to live without them with Goten (okay that last one’s extreme and kind of stupid for both of them)? Whatever. It’s not something either of them can do anything about right now.]

I’ll hold you to that, Goten.

[Sousuke runs his hand through his hair, a soft sigh slipping out. It’s a bit of a shame, seeing their time together coming to a close. But every meeting has a parting and they’ve agreed to meet again in a week, right? Seeing Goten’s beaming face solidifies that decision. Someone he’s pretty sure the kid’s going to make this week fly by without a problem.]

Aa. I’ll see you then. Don’t do anything rash, okay?

[He really doesn't want to leave but he has spent awhile with Sousuke. It's been a lot of fun but he probably should take a look around for his god. Otherwise he really will be sleeping outside! So finding his god was going to be the next priority..maybe more food too, just a snack. Once things get settled then it's right to flying practice. He takes a step backward before lifting up a hand and waving.]

[Sousuke nods to the promise and exuberant farewell. “Be ready,” Goten says. He’s not exactly sure how much he can be ready for Goten’s improved flying, but he’ll definitely show up. It’s, admittedly, a little disappointing to part ways. He’s still stuck in this world, still dead, still has no memories, and still isn’t all that sure he wants to participate in what’s expected of him. His conversation with Makoto had left him serious and kind of embittered towards the world, but then Goten showed up… And made things take on a different light.

At the very least, he made Sousuke promise to give the god he’d meet a chance. So… that’s fine.]
