May 16th - Random abandoned temple
- [After running into Kija earlier today, there had been a whole range of emotions. Anxiousness, sadness, but now there's a sort of relief. If he was a god, if he was still alive, then there was some hope for him. Jae-Ha would press on as best as he could and hope that things could be as safe and kind to the other dragons and Yona as they could be. Speaking of Yona, though, for as happy as he was with things now, he couldn't let everything go and just forget about it. As much as he wanted to relax, be happy and leave it at that, some obnoxious part of himself just wouldn't let it be.
So here he was, exploring old abandoned temples of gods in hopes that he might find some clue about everything that's been going on. The appearances of new gods to replace old, the "different" shinki, the disappearances that happen constantly... It's curiosity and stubbornness like this that led him straight into this embarrassing situation.
That is to say, he's currently stuck. A lot of these floorboards hadn't been the sturdiest, and a quick step and lean to try and reach something that had caught his vision and started to roll away had ended with him crashing straight through the floor, and into a pile of abandoned junk. His legs are in the air not-so-gracefully, and his upper body is curled up a little into a wooden crate that's too small for him. He's stuck, and in a horribly uncomfortable position, too. He tries to kick his legs a little to shift his weight and hop up, or shatter the crate, but— no dice.
But when he hears movement, there's some hope! Even if this is a horribly un-beautiful thing to witness...] Is someone there?
(OOC: For this prompt, we could always play with the chance that there are cursed items around the old temple that have various effects!)
May 17th - shops around the far shore
- [Ever since all of his temple rummaging, Jae-Ha has been feeling strange. He figures it's just a leftover effect from everything else that happened and brushes it off, determined to get some fresh air and push through this. So! Here he is, at various shops looking at all sorts of goodies...
Like TVs, apparently. He's trying to get informed before making any purchases. It's a little daunting, staring around this huge section of various types of TVs on display. They're all huge, they're all incredibly thin, and he has no idea what he needs to be looking for. Why are they all playing sports...?? He stares, one hand over his mouth, and eventually leans over to the person next to him.]
Is there a difference between all of these? [Just looking at these is making his fever worse.]
May 18th - at/around Aengus' temple
- [You know what's a great idea to do while sick?? Physical labor. Jae-Ha is gardening because he knows he's the one that likes to of the two that live here, and it is a pleasant activity that he hopes will make him feel better. But even the simple act of pulling weeds is strangely exhausting right now.
Eventually, he has to sit down right where he is, rubbing at his forehead with the back of his hand so he doesn't end up shoujo fainting on the dirt or something like he feels like he might.]

[Schuldig hadn't spent much time among the cavalcade of helpers, but just enough to make him look a little less suspicious as the cohort to the demon's activities. Meanwhile, he got this little ringing sensation in his ear like there was somewhere else he should be, and before he knew it, there he was, several feet away from Jae-ha, behind a corner.
He's made sure to call out first, at least. There, now don't kick him.]
And no I wasn't stalking you this time.
[Yeah... this time. He waits behind the wall to hear back.]
no subject
[He sounds faint and muffled, but there is Jae-Ha. At the very least, he appreciates hearing these words aloud and not in his mind. He couldn't kick him even if he tried from this angle, but his legs still in the air as he sighs. What a horrible position he's in.]
Well, you do have convenient timing. I happen to be stuck.
no subject
[Schuldig starts walking around the corner, finger in his ear as he tries to get the ringing sensation that 'summoned' him here to go away.]
How does someone like you get stuck anyw--
[Ah. He whistles in amazement.]
Wow. Alright then.
[He walks over and starts inspecting the situation, trying to figure out how the guy even managed to get himself in this bizarre upside down scenario.]
no subject
I'm so tired of this that I don't even care anymore. [That's a lie, he cares so much. Stop looking at him when he's a clumsy mess and not beautiful.] You can stop staring and help me out any time you'd like.
no subject
Yeah, yeah, sure thing.
[He was trying to make sure that his lazy plan was going to work, duh. Looking up tells him that there's a ledge one way and a ledge the other, so he's better off just doing it down here where there's definite sturdy ground.
He reaches over to touch one of Jae-Ha's legs and then thinks better of it. He kinds of hates Jae-Ha for making him flinch like this.]
Don't you dare kick me in the teeth for this. I'm going to touch you and teleport us both a few feet away. That'll get you out.

Excuse me, you don't look well.
[Blight?]
Can I do anything to help?
no subject
[People seem to pass by their temple often, but it's still a surprise to hear a stranger's voice. He hadn't even realized that she was so close until now, when she's peering at him. He blinks, dropping his hand away from his head to wave it off, but even that lacks energy.]
No, it's alright. I think the sun may be getting to me, that's all. Are you passing by, dear?
no subject
Yes, I was doing just that, Mister, but I have time to help if you're feeling sunstroke. Maybe you should wear sunscreen next time, or a hat.
[She looks over to where he'd been working.]
Can I help? It would get you out of the sun faster and I'm used to that.
no subject
Weeding? A cute girl like you shouldn't have to do work like this. It's my garden, so it's fine, I can finish this another day...
[Because he will have to stop, it seems. He's dropped the weeds he just plucked out somewhere, he thinks, and doesn't know where, and now he sways a little to one side as his fever worsens. He'll curse his own immune system later when he learns this is just a cold.]
no subject
That's nice of you to try protecting me like that, but if I say I want to help, then it's because I want to help.
[It feels... good to say that!]
Can you sit like this a minute longer and I'll at least get all of your sharp tools out of the way? Then we can walk back wherever you need to go.
[Her smile becomes a bit sheepish now.]
I'm just a shinki after all, so if my god needs me, he'll call out, right?

... God damnit.
[Which god, who knows? Sharak goes to investigate the abandoned temple anyway.]
no subject
Finally, though, he hears another sound, and this one sounds more promising. A door opening? Or footsteps?? Or is it in his head...]
Hello?
no subject
... Hey.
no subject
Sharak dear, is that you? I'm in a bit of a bind. Would you mind helping me out?
no subject
It's me. You want me to just pull you out?
[What is the alternative, Sharak...]

[Sakon, who has been watching the little men on the screen with rapt interest, answers as helpfully as he can, pointing over at a truly monstrous model that likely wouldn't even fit into quite a few Near Shore apartments.]
And that one is a lot more expensive!
[Not as big, but with a price tag on it that could cover rent for at least a few months in one of those apartments.]
And that one shows a weird game with girls and a lizard instead of little men chasing a ball!
[It's a older model, possibly not working quite right, seeing as it does seem to be on a different channel than the rest. None of this, of course, is helpful to making a purchase. Not that Sakon notices.]
no subject
How does any of that factor in? Will it really only show the one thing the whole time? [If that's the case, they need more variety...]
no subject
[Sakon gestures at the TV, miming using a remote control. He doesn't remember what the thing is called, but he's seen it used. Mostly on the "shows" on the TV itself. He's sure it functions on the same magic as everything else in this world. Nagisa sure as hell can't explain it to him and he's learned that you don't ask Rei to explain anything ever, so this is what he has to go on.]
The thing. Why don't they have things to change the shows?
[He looks all around one of the TVs on display, seeing if someone hid it or it just fell behind something, but there's nothing there.]
Do you have to buy them separately?
[This is a very important question.]
no subject
[Jae-Ha hasn't seen a remote in his life. He's going off of the single time someone showed him a movie and all of the fancy ads around the cities. He peers around the back of this TV, curious.] What does it look like?
no subject
[He holds his hands up, indicating the size. Even though they can be different sizes, he's pretty sure. He just goes for the biggest he's seen because these TVs are pretty big themselves. You must need one of the big ones to control them.]
And it has buttons on it. Not like clothes buttons, the kind you push to make things happen. Oh, but not like the ones on the phone. Actual buttons, not picture buttons.
[There are shinki out there who know all of this stuff already and that impresses him, to be honest. He'd love to be that quick on the uptake.]

The fact that she's been looking at the televisions herself and silently judging the picture quality in comparison to the ones she knows is what leaves her close enough to be asked that question, and she glances over to the man with a curious frown.]
Most of them have different picture quality and minor things like that, but otherwise it's probably brand names. A well-built appliance will always be a little more expensive than a slipshod one, no matter how similar they are otherwise.
no subject
Then the most expensive is always the best buy? That sounds a little risky for my wallet. [As much funds as they have... He can't tell the difference in picture quality between any of these.]
Which is the best one here, dear? What do you think?
no subject
Not quite. Sometimes things are just overpriced, or sometimes the differences are really superficial things. It does help to have someone who knows about these sorts of things around when you commit to buying them.
[While she's not exactly an authority on them, she's probably more familiar than he is, and for a minute, she wanders between the televisions, looking at them a bit more closely and then to some of the nearby ones in comparison. They're all a little lacking compared to what she's familiar with, but some of them come close, and she narrows it down to those.
Eventually, she points out two, both near the middle.]
These are both about the same quality and seem to be the most vibrant and best defined, but this one on the right is a little more expensive, so the one on the left might save you a little.
no subject
[Jae-Ha is so very excited to have found someone to help him with this, even if he can feel this cold hitting him harder by the second. This just makes life easier! He practically floats over to the selected TV, beaming.]
Thank you, dear! You're so knowledgeable. You must come from somewhere where things like bus are very common, am I right? [He doesn't know the plural of bus, and no one has corrected him yet. This is fine.]
no subject
Buses aren't as popular as they once were in my world, but yes, they're quite common. So are televisions. These ones are actually a little outdated compared to what I'm familiar with, but not too far. [Though she knows now that not everyone here remembers their own worlds, it seems rude not to try inquiring.] Do you not recognise technology like this, then?
