Who: Yukine and the people he knows. (And people he will soon know?)
What: Someone benefited from this unknown fruit phenomenon! Yukine is now TALLER!(And is totally not excited about it, can you tell.)
Besides being taller (180cm/5'9"), Yukine also looks a few years older. His voice sounds the same though, and he has the same slight build.
When: Afternoon of May 17, and up to May 20th.
Where: All over the place, Near and Far Shores.

[One: Yato]
The day after working hard for the people of that small town, Yukine and Yato are back to working hard in another way. Cutting down ayakashi before they can harm humans. Averting disaster. Getting Yato closer to being a God of Fortune.

... Not that you'd know it to look at the guy. They'll work on that. Seriously, anything would be better than the track suit and ratty scarf.

On lunch break Yukine is probing the topic starting from "You've been around a while, right? What do you think 'bout kimonos?" When suddenly- he feels weird. He's trying to listen to Yato's answer, really he is, but his eyes look right through him, unfocus for a moment...
Blinking he rubs his hand across his eyes. He feels better in one way, but now there's a different problem-
"Geh- Wh-what the hell? Why is everything so tight?!" It hurts, actually. His pants are too short and too tight, his shirt is pinching at him, and his shoes feel way too small.


[Two: Bishamon and Kazuma]
Yukine is on his way to show off visit the people he knows. And, well, ok- the fact that Yato was worried over what happened to him made him want to go to Bishamonten-sama's first, just to see if she knew anything from her experience.
(...But mostly to show off.)

Showing up in Bishamon's courtyard in a pink collared shirt and black pants (that are both a bit too large for him, but better that than too small), he catches the first shinki he sees to find out where the god and her exemplar are.


[Three: Everyone else! aka the choose your own adventure option]
There are some normally scheduled things, like tutoring. And some things that aren't scheduled, but an easy reason to visit, like sword practice or visiting cats.
Or perhaps you just happen across Yukine - even though he looks different, his name on his collarbone is still easy to spot. Not knowing how long this will last (forever, right!), he will be spending some time clothes shopping. Shirt to shoes, he needs a new wardrobe.
However he meets people, Yukine will be quite happy to pause and chat for a moment.

Oh, you don't know what skorts are?

[She looks around, then grabs a pair of shorts to demonstrate with some hand motions as she places the shorts in front of her body.]

They're like regular shorts, but then across the front - and sometimes the back too - you still get some loose fabric that makes it look like you're wearing a skirt. It's just like wearing a skirt over top of a pair of shorts, but I think the one-piece style of skorts are more comfortable to wear.

Then she folds the shorts back up and sets them back where she found them.]

[She chuckles at his embarrassment and grins a little, twisting on her feet.]

Alright, well - what kind of shoes, Yukine? Nice tennis shoes or like rugged boots?

No- something without laces. Like that- [He points out a pair of shoes that sure enough are laceless.]

Laces are a hassle. And these look like they'll be pretty comfortable.

[She stands back up again.]

I can think of some activities you absolutely couldn't wear laceless shoes at. Your shoes would fall right off!

[Yukine shrugs, turning the shoes over in his hands and then flexing them slightly.]

Any time I'm really 'active', I'm in my shinki form. So it doesn't matter.

[Putting the black pair down he looks among the boxes for a few sizes to try. Oh, and in brown. That might be good.]

Yup, just like that. I'll find whatever size fits me now and I'll be done.

[She can certainly understand where he's coming from. She feels like she could probably be in an 'essentials only' type mood that's different from the 'I want cute clothes' mood she's in now, but hey there'a different thing she'd forgotten to ask at the start.]

Yeah, I like to think I am, but if you're active in shinki form, does that mean you can walk around on your own even in shinki form?

[She holds up her own hands, splayed wide like she was showing off her nails.]

I'm just a pair of gloves - nothing exciting.

Pff- no, I don't mean like that. I'm swords.

But don't say you're 'just not-exciting gloves'. One of the most powerful shinki out there is 'just' an earring, so... there's no limit on your power because of your form.

He’s actually not so much of an amazing person. Some parts of his character are pretty rotten. … But he’s a good shinki and a pretty good teacher.

[That sounds complicated. And realistic. Sometimes you find out about the darker parts of people's hearts later in life. That still doesn't make them irredeemable, but... maybe it's for a good reason? Again, complicated.]

[He shrugs slightly and stands again, testing the next pair of shoes.]

Some of the new shinki who have been here since the start, or nearly the start, are being helpful too though. So that takes some of the pressure off.

He remembers that guy. Mostly for being all up-in-arms over being "not Sora". Resuming packing away the shoes he asks,]

Does he take care of you all right?

[He seems like he'd be hard to get along with, but Kairi seems like the type that'll get along with anyone...]

[They haven't interacted just too much yet, but from what Kairi's experienced so far... She's very stunned by the question, but assumes he doesn't actually know Roxas and he's just asking out of kindness. A general sort of reaction from a shinki about any god.]

Oh yes. And he encouraged me to walk around where I wanted, not just staying at the temple until he needed me. I think we're getting along very well.

[She thinks a second or two about how to sum it up.]

I feel like... I can talk to him about anything that's bothering me. Like I would any other friend, you know?

At her answer he smiles slightly and nods.]

That's good. It's important that gods get along well with their shinki. As long as he can get a hold of you so he's not defenseless against ayakashi, that's fine.

[She pulls hers out of her pocket and waves it a bit.]

I kind of feel bad for the people who don't! But don't worry, Roxas has 2 other shinki he'll probably call before me. They were here first, after all.
