[closed] an exclusive resort takeover
Who: Sheryl and the people she invited
What: A bunch of gods and shinki are taking over a classy hot springs resort
When: May 20th, from 12pm until about 6pm
Where: Spa LaQua @ Tokyo
Warnings: Fanservice is inevitable
On the night of May 15th, Sheryl spammed the inboxes of every person that she knows and likes with an invitation to a place known as Spa LaQua. As Eno kindly reminded her, she needed a break and so do her friends... which leads to a tall, lavish building inside Tokyo Dome City. Sheryl is not the type to skimp out on what she thinks is the nicest-looking place. Not only does the building contain restaurants and relaxation areas, but also spa rooms and hot springs. The staff, while courteous, is also very stringent on rules; the "no-tattoos" rule may be problematic for any shinki, though they should be fine if they hide it with clothes or make-up. They'll expect people to pay up — ¥2,634, to be exact.
As it turns out, being a celestial resident from the Far Shore has its perks, like say, not being seen by the people of the Near Shore...

Locker Rooms
Once you enter the building, there are lockers for men and women. Shoes and other belongings are where they are safely stored while you strip down and slip into yukatas or some sweats with matching slippers. You'll receive towels as well, but they are tiny; they will either cover your head or your lower half (barely), but not both. Hope you brought your own towels.
Hot Springs/Open Baths/Saunas
The hot springs contain water that possess healing benefits such as soothing aching muscles, improving circulation, and moisturizing skin. They are also split in between the men's section and the women's. That won't stop people from sneaking inside to take a peek at the opposite sex, however. Mixed-sex rooms are also an option for the frisky.
Alternatively, you can check out the open air baths. Traditional saunas also exist if you want to get hot and sweaty. Have fun!
Healing Baden
Behold, the Healing Baden — a special area that you have to pay about 800 yen to use (or just be invisible and sneak right in). You can also rent your own towels and leisure wear, a red shirt and dark brown pants combo, in these floors to lounge in if you have the cash to spare. Here's what you can expect:
Special Saunas: All five of them, each with their own trendy gimmick. One sauna uses yellow sand for anti-aging effects, another sauna has walls that change color. There's even a special kind that contains a tank filled with colorful jellyfish swimming around.
Resting Areas: Just like the room says, it's a place for relaxation. Grab a comfy chair and plop down on it. You can also take in the view of Tokyo Dome City at the balconies.
Pool: There's a large pool for swimming adventures. Lounge chairs can be found near it.
Restaurants
Lunch time! You'll find plenty of restaurants to choose from, from cafés to Asian cuisine. Want to try out some udon, shabu-shabu, and other kinds of hot pot meals? Perhaps you're in the mood for sushi? How about some Korean food instead, like their style of barbecue and kimchi?
Other Places
This is where plenty of pampering ensues if you want to get rid of any lingering stress, or if you just want to look extra pretty.
Salons: Want a manicure? A pedicure? A haircut? Your chest, eyebrows, and who knows what else waxed? Then you've come to the right place!
Massages: Body, back, and foot massages are in vogue, as is aromatherapy if you want your body coated with essential oils — and your nostrils filled with floral and fruity scents.
Recliners: It's where you can find oversized recliners to sleep on while watching TV and ordering snacks.
Nap Rooms: They exist. Find a plush bed to claim and just nap the day away!
Makeup Bar: You'll discover a counter filled with cosmetics and skincare products for guests to use. Sheryl will be on this like white on rice.
Gift Shop
Time to grab a souvenir before you go! From clothing to other trinkets, you can find what you want to remember this place by.
(OOC: Top-level and threadhop to your heart's content! ♥!)

Mmm, this feels so nice...!
[With all the talks she and Eno had about hot springs, Sheryl will gladly take advantage of the hot water releasing all the pent-up tension in her body. It doesn't take long at all for her to close her eyes and lean against the rocky wall as a long sigh draws out of her lips. Her long, pink hair is pinned up with a few strands framing her face, and a small towel is plopped on the top of her head. She is, of course, naked.
She's also stretching out a slender leg into the air, giving whoever steps inside a nice view of it.]
Pool | OTA
[Thanks to working to the bone at two jobs, Sheryl has saved enough money to splurge on a few things: special spa rooms included. Having a pool just means the perfect excuse to wear a skimpy red bikini and show off her body.
But she won't swim just yet. Right now, she's sitting on a lounge chair with a pair of sunglasses perched on the top of her head, putting some lotion on her legs. Lately she's been taking up the hobby of "people watching" as she calls it, where she secretly observes the people around her and see if they're doing anything interesting.
Whatever you're doing, there will be a pair of blue eyes watching you closely.]
Cosmetics Bar | OTA
[Lo and behold, here is Sheryl practically hovering over the display of makeup and body creams, eyes sparkling like she just won a million dollars. She clasps her hands together, an expression of sheer happiness because look at the free samples. It takes a few seconds for her to rein in the excitement, of course; she has to behave! Sheryl is a lady first and foremost.
A quick clearing of her throat later, she loosens her hands to reach for a strawberry-scented body lotion before her eyes dart across the hustle and bustle of the crowd walking by. Eventually, she spots you.]
There you are! [And with a light bounce to her steps, she strides towards the person in her line of vision.] Isn't this place nice?
Restaurants | Closed to Freyja
[Sheryl can count the few times she ever went to lunch with a fan (about three or four times in her lifetime). This feels a lot different, not just because there are no special raffles or contests to dine with the Galactic Fairy. No, it's different because it's with a fellow musician in the same industry she's in — and who's also a goddess with a similar experience in their world as well. Her special musical power bestowed upon her is similar yet different, too.
Freyja Wion intrigues her. As Sheryl usually says, it's a "service" that doesn't come by often.
It's why she specifically chose a nice café to eat lunch with Freyja, and here she is, sitting at the table with her hands tucked under her chin, elbows on the surface. A serviceable amount of chicken soup and turkey sandwich are in front of her along with a slice of strawberry pie.]
It's not everyday that you get to eat with me, right?
[Her tone is airy and jovial to go with a light smile on her face.]

(OOC: Sheryl will be everywhere! Just post up a scenario and I'll get to it ASAP. c:)
Cosmetics Bar
Even if half the time somebody engages him in conversation he half considers going into the nearest pool and submerging himself.
Luckily this isn't particular compromising.]
It's really great. Thank you for the invitation, Sheryl.

Pool
After a morning in the open-air springs and a terrific lunch in one of the restaurants, it's time for a visit to the pool. He changes into a pair of blue swim trunks and heads outside to the pool area.
He doesn't approach empty-handed, though. Having noticed the group's inviter at the poolside already, he stops by the concessions stand for berry-infused water and walks over to the lounge chairs. He sets the glass of flavored water on the table beside Sheryl and sits down the next chair over, a warm smile on his face.]

Hot Springs
[It wasn't that she wasn't used to big, large baths. Forrest had them at his temple. However, it was usually just her. And though she reminded herself it it wasn't a big deal to share a bath here, she still did a double-take, face flushing a little, as she saw a very naked Sheryl with an outstretched leg as she walked into the room.]

[Accepting the invitation was one thing. But stepping inside the resort was an entirely different matter because despite his more 'regal' appearance, Aymeric has never really did any kind of pampering. Work and running a country required his attention more and this idea of relaxing involves sleep. Sometimes at his desk with a piece of parchment stuck to his forehead.
As he's clad in a yukata (oddly enough keeping his chest and arms covered), he's looking between all the baths, being confused at how customs even worked in this realm. So don't mind the elf man staring between the hot spring choices...
However, he was familiar a bit with the open air baths. The western highlands in his homeland for one had none of the frills and whistles but they were warm ninetheless. Stepping inside (once actually learning to take off the clothes but keep the towel) the water, he exhales and sighs in relief. This...actually feels nice.]
Pool
[Lounging by the poolside? Nope, not gonna do it. It's too big and too nice to go to waste. So what does Aymeric do? Get a swimsuit and start doing laps from one end to the other. He's moving quick and using those long arms and legs of his to gain speed and momentum. At least he's staying out of the way of anyone else and on occasion, he'll be taking a breather on the side where anyone can speak up.]
What is Massage? Is it Food?
[He's doing it again.
As in, staring at the entrance at where customers go to get massages. Aymeric's curious but he doesn't feel any kind of ache within his body. Oh he's knows what a massage is but he's a big workaholic: it's a bit hard for him to just waltz in and try to relax. He may need a little push. Literally or metaphorically depending on who decides to see him.]

[Have an idea? Go ahead and hit me up here or at Plurk under 'litamaxwell'!]

OTA
[It had been a pleasant surprise to be invited to something like this so soon after coming to this place, and with free time so sparse back home, Maria chose not to waste the opportunity. Rather than duck the people at the door, she pays honestly with some of the money found in her temple, seemingly offerings from seafarers seeking good luck. She has enough spare for food and perhaps something nice later on, but that's it - best not to be too frivolous with the supply in her temple until she can find a more reliable income source.
Unfortunately, she didn't have the foresight to bring her own towel, and the choice of what to cover with the tiny ones in the locker rooms ends with it wrapped as securely as she can manage around her lower half as she settles herself in the spring, her hair out of its usual strange curls but draped over one shoulder so only the tips touch the water. Despite being otherwise naked, there's a necklace with what appears to be some kind of long, red gem hanging off it around her neck.
Positioning herself so that the water covers most of her bust, ample as it might be, she relaxes once that's done and lets herself properly enjoy the warmth of the spring.]
What an exquisite sensation...
--
[B: Pool]
[Having something to swim in is something Maria's made sure she took care of before coming here, and though it's not identical, she's managed to find something very similar to the bikini she wore back home. Despite it being made more for form than function, Maria enters the pool with her hair up in a tighter, more secure curl to keep it all out of the water and moves smoothly into a swimming stroke, keeping to the longer side of the pool where it's a little less awkward to attempt laps.
Given her position, though, people entering the pool might be at risk of getting splashed by her on the way past, even if she stops as soon as she realises she's done so, looking a little abashed. She's still wearing her necklace, even though it's not the most practical or safe thing to do while swimming, but it obviously hasn't bothered her.]
Sorry about that, I was paying too much attention to my stroke.
--
[C: Relaxation Area]
[This Tokyo is quite different to the one Maria's familiar with, a little regressed compared to it, and when she enters the relaxation areas with her hair still down and in a simple white sundress, she's drawn to the windows to look over the view. Even having spent four days in the heavens now, it's things like this that make it really hit her that this isn't her world - it's something entirely new, and she still isn't used to it.
While there is a faint hint of worry on her face as she looks out, it's tempered by excitement, and if anyone else enters the area, it fades off completely to be replaced with a welcoming smile as she turns to them.]
I see I'm not the only one who's enjoyed myself a little too much.

It's not everyday that she gets to visit the hot springs, let alone with twenty or so people that she invited along for the fun, so it's natural for her to enjoy this moment with the limited time she has to spare.
A curious look spreads across her face as she spots the gem hanging around Maria's neck, its vivid color drawing her in.]

[ Oh yeah, a massage definitely sounds like a great idea. So much so, that Bandou is standing in the main foyer with the dumbest grin on ever. That is, until he realizes there's a few things wrong with his great idea.
The first issue being, how is he supposed to get a massage from a cute masseuse if none of the near shore residents can see him? Second, if he's able to make himself noticeable to one of them, forget them possibly seeing a small vessel name written on his wrist, what the heck is he supposed to do about the giant flame tattoo hovering right above his belly button?! There's no way in hell he's paying that fee.
So he remains standing there, arms crossed and a rather peeved look on his face that's aimed towards any of the normal spa goers who aren't having the same issue. Maybe spare the poor guy some advice on the best choice of action in this predicament? ]
Hot Springs | OTA
[ At least in the hot springs, it's not necessary for Bandou to interact with any of the spa's associates. Yet, for whatever reason, he still sneaks back behind one of them and claims one of the private, two person rooms for himself. Not that he expects anyone to join him, but the private room can let him relax without a bunch of mortal guys hanging around who he can't even talk to if he wanted to.
So alone, Bandou tosses whatever he'd been wearing to the side and slowly lowers himself into the hot, steaming water. It's amazing how nice it feels and he absently wonders if he should make sneaking into this place a weekly routine.
But hey, there's still plenty of room if anyone cares to join him. ]

[The tiny towels they have here are made for the typical Japanese citizen - not a towering 6'3" American with huge broad shoulders like Barry. It didn't take him long to give up completely on tying it around his waist, so instead he's sporting his awkward weeb cred and using it like a ninja headband while he wanders around completely buck naked. He doesn't seem to mind, but other people might. Especially since he's in a good mood and chatting up whoever else comes in.]

Recliners

[Forrest is quite a sight to behold in the men's hot springs. He's got his hair up in curls as always, meticulously pinned up so he doesn't get it wet. And if not for the fact that his chest is clearly bare, it would be easy to mistake him for a girl who'd wandered into the wrong bath. In fact, once he gets into the water and sinks down to his shoulders, it's very easy to make that mistake.]
Ahhhhh... the water feels wonderful!
Salon, Massage, Makeup Bar
[Forrest is all over this section of the spa. He prefers to do his own hair, but he's getting absolutely everything else done while he's here. Manicure, pedicure, back massage, foot massage, aromatherapy, mud bath, facial masks... he spends nearly the entire time getting various beauty treatments and trying out all sorts of cosmetic products, perfumes, and the like.]
Gift Shop
Hmm... I should bring something back for father. I wonder what sort of gift he would like.
[Forrest is idly browsing around the gift shop before he reluctantly checks out to head back home. Being a thoughtful and considerate son, he's thinking of bringing something back for Leo.]

[Once inside the safe haven of the women's hot springs, it doesn't seem to matter anymore how little the provided towel could cover. She's still a little too self-conscious not to wrap it around herself to cover something. But she's mostly naked when she steps in and settles into the water with a long sigh.
Any other women nearby that catch her attention might notice her trying a little too hard not to stare. As if the fleeting second she was looking was cause enough to hurriedly look away, with the slightest blush coloring her cheeks. The shy behavior doesn't make sense even to her, truth be told. She must have used public baths and hot springs like this before she died...]
[Pool]
[The slight awkwardness Natsuru shows at the hot springs is nowhere to be seen at the pool. Natsuru's slipped into her bikini, and uses the floral print sarong mainly as a means to cover the name imprinted on her inner thigh.
Of course, she doesn't expect anyone to notice in the water. The piece of fabric lies discarded on a nearby chair, while the blue-haired girl slips into the pool for a leisurely swim. Anyone she passes close by gets a glance and a friendly smile, although she's never quite sure when or how to start a conversation with a stranger. So she only outright greets people she's met.]
[Salon]
[Of the many beauty treatments offered, one in particular captures Natsuru's curiosity above the rest. Technically, two... she's never tried a manicure or a pedicure before! Or, if she has, she obviously doesn't remember.
Once she's settled in, she turns to the person seated next to her.]
Hey... have you ever done this before?
[Cosmetics Bar]
[The makeup station is another service that captures Natsuru's curiosity, of a much more familiar kind. She hasn't bought much makeup for everyday use just yet, and this is the perfect chance to try some different things!
She actually ends up concentrating a bit too much on her task, testing out some new colors on her skin and eventually working out a combination for a look that she thinks would go well with her newly applied lavender nail polish.
Finally, as she puts the finishing touches on, she might notice she's not the only one there.]
Oh! I didn't see you there... [She's clearly embarrassed, but doesn't let it get in the way of being friendly.] This place really has everything, doesn't it?
[Women's Locker Room / Restaurants / Recliners]
[She can also be spotted in any of these places! Either getting changed in the locker rooms, browsing the restaurants to see what's available and who else is trying them, or just taking a nice, long break in the room with all the recliners. Anywhere she is, she'll be willing to chat with fellow guests.]

Oh, hello, Natsuru.

[There was a lot of unfamiliar things about Japan compared to Prism City. One of them was the fact things like yukatas hadn't been a thing in Prism for decades, even if the memory wasn't there for Psyche.]
Shoot.
[Though she managed a tie, she could feel she had it on wrong. Indeed, to a bystander it'd look too rumbled and tied at just the wrong length. With a soft sound of frustration, she tried again...while missing the right spot again in this attempt.]
Salons
No, thanks, I-um-should probably keep these.
[Psyche pulled her hand away from one of the receptionists and stepped back, allowing the moment of confusion to flicker over the women's face before she 'forgot' the girl she'd been trying to talk into a manicure. Psyche let out a soft sigh before looking at her hand. The callusing there wasn't that bad, was it?
[Jae-Ha had offered her a manicure once but she didn't think that was for her, really. However, there was a lot of nice things there... Like the hair care pamphlets. She picked one off from the side and flipped the potential styles they offered, fiddling with a strand of her long red hair as she did. It appeared a little lopsided at the moment, as one of her ribbons had been tied around her right hand to cover the tattoo.]
Gift Shop
[There was a lot of the typical touristy stuff to be expected: yukatas, charms, chopsticks, and boxes of snacks. Psyche found herself drawn to the snacks, looking between a box of mochi and seagull eggs. However, as she looked at the prices, she winced a little]
Guess a markup isn't too unexpected in a place like this...
Wild card!

[This is hands down the best idea anybody's run by Tsuzuki in months. The Heavens should really start throwing spa parties.
Well, in the absence of a spa party for everybody, one for just Sheryl's friends is still great! He's got a tiny towel slung around his hips, and he's humming as he steps into the bath on the men's side. Yep: definitely great. The best! Gotta keep the towel dry, though, so he'll just be folding it up to stick it on top of his head as he sinks the rest of the way into the steaming water.
It's possible he's going to fall asleep in there. The good news is, shinigami probably can't drown. You might want to poke him before he tests that, though, if you happen by in half an hour....]
Healing Baden
[After his long (long) soak, he's going to go explore! He can be found watching the jellyfish in the sauna with wide-eyed enthusiasm, nose an inch from the glass, or doing a cannonball into the pool, or sprawled out on a recliner excitedly going through the entire menu piece by piece. He'll skip the anti-aging sand... but somehow he's managed to get it stuck between his toes anyway, so you might also catch him balancing on one foot in the hallway trying to brush it free.]

But no, the jellyfish in front of her are actually real! She's so mesmerized that her cheeks begin to puff up, mimicking the translucent bell-like shape of their head.]
They're so cute! Such a trendy design.

[Just as soon as Honoka's settled into the water she sighs in pleasure. Yes, this is wonderful. It's been way too long since she got to relax like this.
So she'll wave whoever comes in over to her.]
It's amazing!
Pool | OTA
[She's in a cute blue bikini and stretching out by the side of the pool. It's a nice pool and she's excited to go swimming but she's pretty sure you're also supposed to stretch before any exercise, spa or not.
The moment somebody comes in she perks up.]
Want to swim with me?
