[Closed] At least there's adults at this party
Who: All KH characters + their shinki (if applicable), Urashima, Nohr clan, Aymeric, Sheryl, and Jakob
What: A huge meetup because people need to see faces that go with names
Where: Artemis' and Baldr's temples respectively
When: May 21st - 22nd (Basically show up whenever and leave whenever)
Warnings: N/A
[Those invited will have most likely gotten a text or other way of communication to let them know there was something going on at this time and date. There is no set time per say, so it's an open invitation to show up even before sunrise if you feel crazy enough to deal with the wildlife in Artemis' place.
The party can be spent between the two places that are somehow linked by a trail. Either side will have amenities/foods/entertainment suitable for a meetup (though if you want tea/coffee, stick to the side that isn't Baldr's place).
There will be a sign on Artemis' side that warns of getting near the bear or deer since they are skittish around too many people, so one side of Artemis' temple will be sealed off to visitors unless you ask very nicely to see the deer. There will also be a sign that reads "NO SWIMMING IN THE LAKE". At least there's a nice fire in the fire pit on the patio, and those who stay the night at this temple will... see a bunch of glow in the dark stars on the ceiling.
Baldr's side... pretty much do whatever you want within godly legal limits? If you want to swim, go to that side. If you want to sleep under the stars, go to that side. If you want to be around wildlife that can't possibly gore you to death or maul you (unless it's your unlucky day and the bear decides to hang at the beach), go to that side.]
[ooc: treat this like a mingle! have at it!]

[She gives him a quick smile before pointing to a nearby tree.]
Just that tree.
[She sits back, propped up on her arms.]
That's where I woke up. I was trying to see if maybe I'd feel different coming back here again, but... nothing. I guess we're really not supposed to remember, after all.

It's not bad.
( And he'll crouch down beside her, elbows on his knees, chin in his hands, )
There are a lot of really nice people here... so you can make a lot of new memories.

That's what I think too. Starting over in a new place, making new friends... I think it can be exciting if you let it be!
[She smiles at him too.]
My name's Kairi. How about you?
no subject
(He likes how you think, Kairi. As for the question, he'll give Kairi he'll smile brightly right back at her,)
Urashima. Like the story! It's nice to meet you, Kairi!
(Kairi-chan, to be exact but I don7t really use honorifics in RP ok.)

Like the story...?
[She's trying to remember the story he's talking about. She knows that this is the kind of thing that should be okay to think about regarding her past, but it's still not coming to her. She shakes her head.]
I'm sorry, Urashima, I'm just not sure I ever knew the story you're talking about.
[She wouldn't normally be thinking this hard about it, but he brought it up and he's a new friend so she wished she did know.]
Can you tell me about it?
no subject
( She's never heard of the story? Well, now he feels silly for just casually tossing that out there but he has a chance to explain himself and he nods, )
Mhmm! The story is called Urashima Taro! A long time ago, a fisherman saved a small turtle from a bunch of mean kids. He chased them off and returned the little turtle to sea. The next day, when he was fishing, a big turtle came and said the Dragon King wanted to speak to him. So Urashima jumped on his shell and went down to the Dragon King's palace in the sea.
When he got there, the Dragon King thanked him for saving his daughter and introduced him to the small turtle he'd saved. The turtle turned into a beautiful princess and she married Urashima. Together, they were rich and happy but after three days, Urashima missed his parents so he asked to see them again. The princess was sad because if he left, he could never come back but he really wanted to go so she let him. Before he left, she gave him a small box and told him to never open it.
The big turtle took him back to land and when he got back to his village, he couldn't find his family. He asked a villager where they were and the villager said they'd moved away and died three hundred years ago after their son disappeared. Urashima was surprised because he realized he was gone for 300 years! His family was gone and so was the princess so in his grief, he opened the box and turned into an old man. From the sea, he heard the princess say sadly, the box had held his youth...
( AND THE STORY SURE DOES END THAT WAY but he doesn't mind because it's still his favorite story. )

And then the story gets even sadder. She consoles herself that it's just a story but...]
Oh, Urashima, I hope you have a happier life than all that!
[That's the only positive spin she can put on the story it seems.]
no subject
Ah... I will, I will! There's a lesson to the story! So you're supposed to tell it and learn a lot of things.
( To ideally have a better life than poor Urashima Taro. )

[She's not mad at him for telling the story, she's just trying to figure out what he could mean. And she DOES want her new friend to have a better life than all of that.]
