Who: Saitama & Genos
What: Housewarming
When: March 1(6/7?)
Where: Radegast's House
Warnings: N/A
Right. So this is my house I guess. [ He stands casually at the foot of the steps with his hands in his pockets. He had only been inside once after he had awoken, and was promptly ushered out to find his shinki.
Said shinki was his former disciple/roommate, which made the situation a bit unique. And although Saitama kept wanting to speak about their past living situation, the feeling he got in the pit of his stomach always made him reconsider. ]
Come inside. I’ll see if I got any tea to make. [ He slowly makes his way up only briefly glancing back to see if Genos would follow.
Saitama wasn’t sure what the rules were (why did they have to give all the important info in one big speech at the start?). Genos still had no memories of their time together, so truthfully he could run off and stay anywhere he wanted to. Saitama wasn't about to force him to stick around out of guilt or duty if he didn't want to. ]

[ Genos follows into the house, looking around curiously. It was... surprisingly nice, and cozy. He looks around while not straying from his path. ]
Even if not what I expected.
[ Well it was quite a tiring day. Who would have thought that giving chocolates could be so... eventful. And changing quickly into ayakashi chase instead. Good thing that water at the shrine was enough to get right of all the blighting. If it was anything more serious... ah, he'd rather not ponder on it ]
no subject
He finds the kitchen after a bit of wandering. It's down a short hall from the living room. Saitama calls out from it. ]
What'd you expect instead?
[ Surprisingly, there is already a kettle of water hot and ready to go. A pair of cups with tea bags inside sit on the counter as well. ]
no subject
Something worthy of a god.
no subject
That kinda place seems like it'd be annoyin' to live in though. Everything would get wet when it rains, wouldn't it? [ He walks back towards the living room area while talking. ]
This place seems too big for me to be honest. [ He sets the cups down on the coffee table and sits on the overly-plush couch. ] Ou-- my last place was tiny.
no subject
If it's yours, it probably mirrors in some way your divine domain of influence. [ Just a guess. ]
What kind of god is Ra'radiblast? [ He still hesitates a bit before taking a cup. But that tea smells so nice... ]
no subject
Uh... I've never heard of him before, so he must be a foreign god.
I'll probably just try and keep a low profile. This god stuff seems like a pain in the ass. There's some real weirdos around here.
[ He remembers the ayakashi they fought earlier. He's still torn between calling it another monster that died to one punch, or not. Really he's curious on if the other ayakashi are any stronger or if that one was an anomaly. ]
Genos... what did you think of that fight earlier? Your hand feel better? [ Saitama holds out his own hand which is completely free of the blight from earlier. Thankfully. ]
no subject
I'll learn what I can about everything. The duties, the current state of affairs [ Joys of the internet. Other people he met seem to be more experienced and thus knowledgeable. And if he's going to be a divine weapon, he's going to be the best possible one. ] And update you accordingly.
no subject
Mm. If you wanna. I'm planning on finding a way out of here eventually.
[ Saitama gets even more comfortable in the couch. He doesn't even remember the last time he had such a nice one in a place he lived. He sips on his tea slowly and wonders if it would fit in their old apartment until a thought occurs to him. ]
Oh! Do you like your name? [ He hides his grin behind the tea cup. ]
no subject
It's... cute? [ Yes, that's the word. Energetic, healthy, even happy depending on context. ] I'm not sure if it suits me. But I will try to live up to it, if I have to.
[ might be really hard, even if just focusing on "staying healthy" part ]
no subject
Nah. [ He reaches over to grab the pen and paper sitting on the end table beside him. Why did this house have so much crap laying around? On it he scribbles down '頑器' before holding it up for his innocent shinki to see. ]
It definitely suits you.
no subject
Living up to this name will be much easier than I expected. [ He is almost pouting ]
no subject
For a while it's silent before Saitama speaks up. ]
Hey, uh.... [ He hesitates and tries to figure out how to word the question properly. ]
no subject
Yes?
no subject
Saitama hadn't had the chance to look around the entire house yet, but he knew there was probably an extra bedroom or two for Genos to stay in. It was probably a point for there to be space for a shinki at a god's house, but Saitama still didn't realize it.
He was nervous because he wasn't sure about Genos' answer. Well. He wasn't sure about this Genos' answer. The Genos who still had his memory would be dying to stay here and probably still insist on paying some kind of rent in this (hopefully?) rent-free house. Saitama wouldn't mind having Genos around in this house. A small part of him wanted him to stay just so he could keep an eye on him. Even though they were technically... not-living in the typical sense, the marks from the ayakashi showed Saitama that there was still the potential for his idiot shinki to get himself killed. Again. ]
Wanna live here?
no subject
Where else I'd go? [ and for a moment he looks like a lost kid, which he kinda is ]
If I'm your weapon, I'd rather be close, so you can have use of me whenever the need arises. [ So far it was proven that neither of them alone can get rid of an attacking ayakashi. They function best as a team, whether they want it or not. ]
no subject
And don't just stay here cause you think I wanna use you or something. That's weird. [ It definitely sounds creepy to Saitama when Genos speaks about things like that so frankly. ]
no subject
But don't get me wrong. I appreciate your kindness.
And this is a really nice place.
no subject
Saitama shrugs. ]
It's alright. Not really my style.
Hey, you wanna go check out the rooms?
no subject
[ He finishes drinking his tea, strangely enjoying how warm it feels. ]
Lets. I wonder what might be there. [ He puts the cup away and leaves the table. What else there might be? Rooms of course. Bedrooms to be exact. Each one different in size and furnishing. ]
no subject
Oddly stacked shelves lined the walls with books and journals. Little trinkets and votive candles were nestled in between the volumes. A small writing desk sat in the corner with various papers, diaries, and pens on top of it. The room somehow looked even more cluttered than the rest of the house.
Saitama stands at the doorway of said room. He snorts when he noticed the single-sized bed. Looks like Rade-whatever didn't get around much.
Not that he did either.]Whaddya think of the rooms?
no subject
He stopped by the desk, checking if there was a diary or notebook empty. For the whole day he constantly had that need to note important facts and info he learned. His cellphone sufficed for now, but wasn't the most comfortable to use ]
no subject
You can have a journal if you want.
no subject
I'm looking if any of these is empty. [ Looking at them is kind is weird. There are words written on some of them, but focusing on reading what's inside makes vision blurry, and head dizzy. Safeguard mechanism? ]
no subject
Weird. Must be some kinda foreign language. Or they spilled water on the paper. [ He tosses the notebook to the side and begins to shuffle through the notebooks on the desk. ]
Man, this place is a total mess. Why do I gotta live here?
no subject
Really? It looks pretty nice to me. [ the only downside being that it's clear it doesn't want anyone rummaging through things it has. Is that a safeguard system? Can room have something like that? ]
no subject
You wanna stay in this one? [ He remembers the other rooms. Smaller, but without all the clutter and stuffiness. ]
no subject
[ Yes, the books are the most interesting thing he sees. But Genos despite himself is also drawn to the coziness. Maybe even without memories he's still able to miss home. If he had one. ]
I think it might be biggest of them all. [ All the clutter makes it seem smaller. ]
no subject
I guess I could just throw it all out to make room.
no subject
no subject
Or I could just pick whichever room I want.
[ He pauses. ]
'Cause it's my house.
no subject
You ...can't decide on a room? [ at least that's what he gets of this display ]
I'm pretty sure this was the room of previous owner of this house. [ he muses to himself, as he walks around looking at the various books collected ]
no subject
[ The longer he stayed in this room the more annoyed Saitama felt. While this room was about the same size as his old place's living room, all the clutter made him feel claustrophobic. The other rooms were slightly smaller, but the simple decor was a breath of fresh air in this house.
He stretches up to reach a small journal sticking out of the collection of books on a shelf and leafs through it. It was totally empty. ]
Here. Found a journal for you. [ He tosses it at Genos without looking. ]
no subject
Thank you. [ he mutters as he start browsing it. No reason for it, since it's empty ]
I will put it in good use!! [ he declares louder with more energy ]
no subject
Go for it, dude. [ He lazily gets up from the bed and stretches. ]
I'll let you get settled in I guess.
no subject
Where would you want me to be? I can keep night watch on the first floor. [ and at the same time, back to the weapon duties ]
no subject
What's there to even watch out for? Those weird bats?
no subject
[ It's so... well, cluttery true. Antiquated in a sense. He doesn't really fit the room, nor the room fits him. But he can't help, but be drawn to it's coziness. ]
[ He plops on the bed and promptly hits himself in the head by the shelf hanged above it. ] Ghh- [ But it doesn't stop him from glancing through the window. Looking more like a teenager he is than the weapon he constantly mentions ]
The wildlife portraits have to go, though.
no subject
Yeah this place needs like half the crap thrown out. [ He picks a rather gaudy painting of a deer off the wall. ] We might be here for a while, so we'll have time for it.
[ Saitama still wasn't sure exactly where they were or how to get back. The city they visited earlier in the day definitely seemed like it could be somewhere from where they're from, but Saitama couldn't pinpoint it. He also wasn't sure if retrieving Genos' memories would have to happen before or after their return home. Really it was a difficult situation he didn't feel equipped to handle. ]
no subject
But it doesn't last long, as he suddenly remember something. ] Ah!
[ He pulls his cellphone from his pocket ] There's wi-fi here. [ yeah that's really important, internet can be accessed. look, civilization! ] Not sure of how protected it is. But there's a BBS for residents of the Far Shore. [ He learned that from Hope ]
no subject
[ He pulls out his own phone and glances between it and Genos' phone. He decides to let his friend handle the web surfing. ]
What kinda stuff do they post?
no subject
I'll jump in later and see what can I gather.
no subject
Yeah you-- [ He pauses when he realizes he almost slips out something from their old life together. Saitama rememebrs Genos frequently scoping out hero news sites and forums. He always had some ridiculous ranking, rumor, or news to share. ] You seem like you're into all those forums and sites.
no subject
And navigation. [ The spotty wi-fi in the Near Shore was the worst. ] The panther can stay. [ He comments abruptly and stops Saitama from removing the drawing from the wall. ]
no subject
Uh. She said there's work for us to do here. [ He places the stack of paintings down on the small writing desk and turns to Genos. ] Sounds really annoying, huh?
no subject
Shinki are supposed to help with accomplishing those tasks. [ he ponders a bit ]
It kind of makes sense. If you're a god, you answer the prayers of the faithful.
no subject
Do I have a choice?
no subject
You probably won't be allowed to keep this house in such case. [ Or a shinki. ]
no subject
I guess we could listen to a few prayers or whatever. [ He shrugs. ] Just til I figure some crap out.
no subject
If you need help, I'll be there. [ it's a promise. the situation looks like such a mess, but he will make sure to do his part of the job as well as he can ]
