Who: Izumo and Kensei
What: A chat
Where: Thanatos' Temple
When: May 22
Warnings: None
[It's been long overdue.
Izumo usually doesn't like to bother Kensei, not really, but they are partners, after all. There was still something Izumo has to talk to Kensei about and the main topic: a bar.
The idea's been brewing in his head for a while now and it wouldn't leave him alone. Though Izumo could possibly talk his god into establishing a bar right next to the diner/temple, it just didn't seem right.
So, when the diner is empty and cleared of customers, Izumo decides to seek Kensei out.]
Kensei, are you here?

Kensei, are you here?

no subject
He turns to look at him when he hears his voice.]
Yeah, I'm here. What's going on?
no subject
As Kensei turns to look at him, Izumo gives his usual smile.]
I just wanted to talk to you about something.
[He does a quick scan, making sure he's not bothering his god or anything. While he and Kensei shares a somewhat friendly relationship, Izumo never did like bothering him.
Especially if he might be interrupting something important.]
Are you busy?
no subject
[His hands are in a sink filled with water and dishes, but it can wait, and maybe Izumo can help.]
Talk.
no subject
[He steps up, ready to dry the dishes and put them on the rack if necessary.
Izumo doesn't speak for a minute or two before:]
I was thinking of setting up a bar.
no subject
[He doesn't look at him, not concerned at all.]
Bored of working here?
no subject
[At least his god is easy-going.]
It's just been something I've been thinking of setting up for a while now, but I'll still work around here during the day.
no subject
[Pretty easy going. So long as you do what you're supposed to.]
Going to conflict with training?
[The other problem.]
no subject
He shakes his head.]
It won't.
no subject
Then knock yourself out. If it interferes with anything, we'll talk.
[But he doesn't really care. It's his shinki's life. Or afterlife.]
no subject
Alright. [Then:] Thanks.
[Because even if Kensei doesn't seem to care, Izumo still respects him enough to tell him. However, that leads to the next thing:]
Have you ever met any of the gods who have already lived here on the Far Shore?
no subject
[It's not something he has an interest in unless it's for something important. And so far, nothing important has come up.]
Anything I need to know?
no subject
I've met up with one of the gods, Suijin, twice. [The conversation itself was barely riveting; one was an introduction and the other Suijin wanted to know his stance on the situation.]
I was simply curious, otherwise.
no subject
[Which is what Kensei cares more about then the fact that the man is talking with other gods.
He at least trusts Izumo not to literally stab him in the back.
He's also sure Izumo doesn't have any swords or knives..]
no subject
[And the disappointment could barely be heard in Izumo's voice.] Suijin isn't much to disclose any information.
[Nope, no swords or knives on this guy. Besides, Izumo has no intention on stabbing Kensei - that would get him nowhere in this place, anyway.]
no subject
[He nods, continuing to clean dishes before handing them over so Izumo could handle drying.]
Keep at it. You'll find something.
no subject
He gives a nod.]
What about you? Has anything new happened with you lately?
no subject
[He shakes his head.]
People are complaining about everything here. Shit, didn't ask for the place.
no subject
Well, can't always satisfy the people.
