Who: Sora, Riku Replica, Yurick: aka Team Baldr’s Gate
What: Prayer #7 in which giant electric spiders attack and make a whole lot of noise and need to please chill

Where: A noisy neighborhood somewhere

[Sora hasn’t exactly done a whole lot of prayers since losing Axel as his shinki. Taking vacation and spending time with people important to him took most of his time for the last few weeks. But as usual Sora is terrible at keeping still so he decides to get back to work.
This time he’s invited Yurick to come along with him and Riku Replica to get some work done. Though not one of his shinki, Yurick has some fantastic support abilities that Sora thinks would be amazing as part of their little rag tag team. Not to mention getting Yurick out of the temple so he can stretch his wings a little. What better way than lending a hand with a little ayakashi butt kicking?
It’s the middle of the night and dark. The summer air is cool but not cold and he can hear the clicking of bugs nearby. The neighbourhood itself is already rather noisy. In addition to the bugs he can hear rustling animals, cans being kicked around and the sounds of breaking wood and glass. Whatever is making all that noise, it’s going to start effecting the humans around here soon too.
Time to do some searching.]
Sniff out the ayakashi quick and quiet this place down. We won’t know what it looks like until we find it. So expect anything! You guys got any questions?

It's also awkward, though, given recent events, and he's sort of surprised he's even being taken along. He hasn't met Yurick, or at least not properly, and keeps eyeing him suspiciously. Is he another shinki?]
I've got one: who've you brought along?
[Yurick, of course, but he tilts his head in the guy's direction anyway.]

I'm Yurick. Sora asked me to help with this venture. Even without my god present, I have magic that can support you both.
[He doesn't sound arrogant or uncertain about it, simply a quietly neutral response. The last thing he wants is to antagonize Sora's shinki. Odd how both he and the other shinki have silver hair, though. Isn't it a color usually seen on the elderly?]

Yep. Yurick, this is my shinki, Riku. Riku, this is Yurick, a shinki that I think can help us out a lot tonight. He's got a lot of support magic! So it'll be good.
[He squeezes Riku Replica's hand for a second as if to say please be nice and then joins the two shinki's hands so they shake.
He's fully confident they will get along, it just takes some warming up. He continues to smile at them both warmly. All good?]

[He lets Sora take his hand, glancing at him when Sora squeezes his hand. He'll be nice, Yurick hasn't done anything to bother him yet anyway.]

It's nice to meet you, Riku. I'm a fire mage, mostly. Sora's told me that my fire magic is different from what he's seen before, though. It won't harm my allies, but it can enhance their weapons.

[Sora has seen it work first hand and he had been really impressed. Sora and Riku Replica don't work with a lot of other people much so he thinks this will be good for all parties involved. Team work exercises.
So he nods and with introductions over Sora heads down the block and motions for them to follow.]
We'll have to start by checking around the area to see where a lot of the noises are coming from. Keep an eye out for anything that seems out of the ordinary.

[He likes the sound of that, and visibly perks up when it's mentioned. His fire magic is also great, but if Sora also thinks it is, he's eager to see it in action.
Sora's command cuts short any questions he was about to ask Yurick, though, and he squares his shoulders before jumping up onto the top of a nearby fence. Wonder if they're looking for a giant spider again.]
We should stick together so no one gets jumped by anything.

[And he knows the strange fire-daggers he conjures can't destroy ayakashi. The only thing he can do is enhance Sora's weapons and maybe keep enemies at bay. But this is practical experience that he needs and he isn't getting it from anywhere else.
Riku Replica's powerful jump surprises him. Is that a shinki ability he hasn't discovered yet, or is it unique to this boy?]

He looks over his shoulder at Yurick when he questions Riku Replica's jump and just grins. He's a strong shinki, yes, but also naturally athletic as a person. Plus they both seem to be pretty light on their feet as souls in the afterlife. He'll let Riku Replica answer that.]
Pretty neat, huh?
[There's a strange clicking sound nearby shortly after Sora says that. But he doesn't notice.]

[It's both a question and an answer. He's been able to do it since a few days into his time as a shinki, and he doesn't know if it's a natural ability of his or what. Though he's fairly sure that what he does as he's talking--walking along the top of the fence--is not a natural ability of his. His human body wasn't likely light enough to do that.]
That's it, you just...jump. I don't know how else to explain it, just...do that. Try it.

Yeah, that happens! We're lighter than humans are. Jumping around is a lot easier for us.
[Maybe it has something to do with them not actually having physical human bodies or something, who knows.
The simple distraction is enough for some noise to go undetected. Suddenly there's a giant black spider leaping out from a dumpster and flying at them while making a clicking noise.
It hits Sora first and he gets slammed into the fence wall, mandibles sparking with what looks to be electricity.]

You get used to it pretty quickly. Works on the power lines, too.
[It takes a bit more balance, though.
As he's busy helping Yurick, he also fails to notice the spider until it's pushed Sora into the fence. But in a second, his blade is out and he's leaping at the spider. He may not be able to do lasting damage to it, but he can at least get it away from his god.]

[And suddenly everything's gone to hell, Sora pinned and shouting, Rep leaping to attack. Yurick quickly goes into battle mode, floating off the top of the fence as he gathers mana. He's not afraid of hurting his allies with his spell, but he also knows he can't damage the ayakashi directly. Maybe it will startle the spider long enough for Sora to get free.
And then he's struck in the back by something strong and sticky, the fluid hardening into a silken line as strong as steel. The sudden blow doesn't hurt but it does shatter his concentration, and being dragged off-balance onto the ground stuns him for a second. He can't restart his casting, not while he's being hauled away from the others. Twisting his neck, he sees the second spider that has him bound, that hideous face crackling with the same electricity as the first, jaws opened wide.
It's going to eat him.]
H-- help...!
[It squeaks out of him, fear crushing the voice right out of his throat. It fires more silk, enveloping his head and shoulders. Stars, he's going to suffocate! He certainly can't cry out for help like this, and he'll be swallowed soon enough!]

Yurick! Get it off Yurick! I'll be fine!
[Sora's blade materializes in his hand and he's already casting an Aero spell to try and blast the spider off himself.]
Help him!!
[Sora can't move yet, but Riku Replica is free for the moment. Sora had to think fast...]

Are you serious?
[Sora's clearly in a better position, though, he notices, giving Yurick a quick glance. He's got his keyweapon and magic and Yurick is about to be chomped on by another spider.]
Tch. Get off of him and try someone who knows how to fight properly!
[Namely with a blade in one hand and dark fire around the other one. Hopefully giant spider silk burns well.]
