Who: Nyanta and You
What: A Walking and Talking Cat?!
When: May 23
Where: Asclepius's Riad and Shops around the Far Shore
Summary: Nyanta has to stock up the Riad's kitchen while he's trying to readjust to living in The Far Shore. Also snakes with fancy hats or ties.

A. A Stocked Up Kitchen is Key to Cooking Right

When Nyanta first arrived on the Far Shore and was introduced to his new home in Asclepius's Riad, the werecat was stunned. He had never seen such architecture before and it was simply gorgeous. The snakes did throw him off guard but thanks to Julian's reassurance, he was beginning to warm up to them.

That was until he saw the sad state of the kitchen. The produce was a good start but there were so many boxed foods and canned foods. The place definitely screamed bachelor's pad. Nyanta simply asked Julian to leave the kitchen to him and some money to do so.

Soon he was in downtown, perusing all the goods for sale. Soon he had enough to fill two shopping totes. There was still one last thing he needed though. He just needed to find a pet store first. If the appearance of a 5'10" bipedal cat dressed in gentlemen clothing didn't catch people's eyes, honestly nothing will.

B. Being Dapper is Contagious

After Operation Kitchen Reboot was a success, Nyanta made himself at home on the courtyard. With a book in one hand and a tea set on the table next to him, he planned on taking the afternoon off. One of the snakes decided the warmest spot in the Riad was on the werecat's lap.

"While mew're here, there's something I want to try, nya," he chuckled. He pulled out a tiny top hat from the inside of his coat. It took a bit of coaxing but he was successful in getting the little hat on his new buddy. Satisfied with his work, he let the snake be and went back to his book, nursing his cup of tea. His ears do prick when he heard footsteps approaching. His new reading partner, now on his shoulder and still wearing the hat, looked up along with Nyanta to see who it was.

"Ah, hello there, nya."

No.

That was Itachi's first thought, and it caused him to halt when he saw a cat walking around. His eyes were wide. It was just... walking through the city like there was nothing weird about it. But he didn't think 'No' because it was strange or anything...

It was because it was so cute he couldn't believe it.

The shinki began to make his way over. He was following him after a bit, just behind and then...

Before he could control himself, his fingers reached out and stroked one of those cute kitty ears. Soft!

Kairi has seen and talked with anthropomorphic animals before, but unfortunately she doesn't remember it. As she walks past the area he's sitting outside of, she does do a double-take, and gets more a sense of déjà vu than that's impossible. So she backs up until she notices him noticing her.

"Hello back!" She says with a smile, but still some wide-eyed amazement. "I... have to admit you're probably the most unique person I've met here so far. My name is Kairi."

'Oh my gosh, this is so awesome!' His way of speaking is very endearing to her. "Nyanta?" She tries to curtsy and not actually gawk as she does so, but it's still hard to do in the short skirt fabric that surrounds her skorts.

She clasps her hands for lack of any other way to keep them from gesturing while she speaks. "Oh but I think so too! Just not because of the 'god talk' or anything like that!" For whatever reason, it just feels right to her. "I can't explain it very well because I'm a shinki, but I feel like I knew other talking animals - just that no one else like that is here in the Far Shore with us. You're right about that part."
