Warnings:
A. The Beach, the Near Shore | 31 May
( Let's say you're minding your own business and for some reason, that business has brought you to the beach. The sun is shining, the weather is warm, the sea is blue, and there are people everywhere. You know what else is everywhere? Seagulls. Nearby, a group of beach goes shriek as seagulls beset them, trying to take their picnic lunch away from them because some fool thought it was a good idea to toss a french fry in their direction.
All in all, it's going to be a good day! Unless you run into a certain ayakashi that may or may not be plaguing this particular beach.
… But there sure is a lot of screaming, isn't there? And it's not coming from the terrorized picnickers… )
— Wait, wait! ( This screaming sure does sound close. ) Give her back—!
( A flock of seagulls fly over you, fluttering in place, squawking in distress. If you look up, you'll see a small, round object fall from the sky. Maybe it's enough time to get out of the way or catch it! Otherwise, you're going to get conked on the head by a turtle shell and fluff. And if that wasn't bad enough you'll end up body slammed by a distressed shinki who was just trying to catch it. You came here to have a good time and you're getting attacked. )
Oof! S-sorry…
B. Various Temples, the Far Shore* | 1-2 June
( After a day or two, it isn't certain if Urashima's adopted the turtle or if the turtle has adopted him. Every time he's tried to get rid of it, it's always managed to come back. He leaves it on the beach in the Near Shore and not only does it manage to come back to the Far Shore but it's in his bed again! He tried to drop it off at a pond in the Far Shore instead but, again, it'd managed to come back. It doesn't really make sense and after awhile, he's just given up because it clearly doesn't want him to go.
…
…
So of course, once he's decided to keep it, it disappears on it's own. If this had been the day before, he'd probably be okay with it but he's attached now. As soon as he notices it's missing, he's taken to looking out for it.
And lucky for him, you've managed to find it. Some how, this turtle has managed to wander into your temple space. How did it get pass the tricks and traps and trials that were designed to keep people out? And then how did it get into your kitchen or swimming pool or bathroom or rock garden? Who knows. It's just there now and you'll know who it belongs to one of two ways!
The first way is by network post. Urashima posts a quick, short message on the network, )From: Urashima Kotetsu
Has anyone seen a turtle? It's small and gold and has a fluffy tail. Let me know! Thank you.
( Or maybe you find Urashima himself. If your temple is particularly questionable trespassers, he'll be right outside the entrance. Otherwise, if it's on the safer side or a temple he's been to before, he'll wander in a little bit and call out, )
Excuse me! Is anyone here?! Kameko... where are you?
(( * For this prompt, we can start off as text/voice and move into action. Also, you don't have to find Kamekichi right away-- we can have them go on dumb turtle quest together. She's a ~mysterious~ turtle and can wander anywhere that isn't immediately dangerous. She's always sleeping and doesn't appear to react to much of anything. ))

Is it a pet?

Kind of... I found her the other day and she wouldn't leave me alone...
But now she's gone and I'm worried!
( He got attached! )
no subject
[Or... not?]
She might not have gotten too far. She is a normal turtle, right? Does she have a name?

Yuto actually catches the round object, but before he manages to get a better look at it or question why a turtle fell from the sky, he is tackled down by someone.
And then that person apologizes.]
...Er.. it's okay.
[He didn't break anything, so... it's okay. Maybe.]
no subject
( He apologizes one more time because he really, really is sorry. Once he's recovered, he's looking up at the sky at the seagulls that are now flying off, squawking angrily. And then he looks at this poor guy he's just run into and, )
Ah, you saved her!
( The turtle. Who appears to be sleeping, completely unreactive despite having fallen from the sky with feahers in its mouth and shell. It looks like someone took a snap at a gull and won. )
no subject
When the other points at the turtle, Yuto looks down at it (It's sleeping after all that? Unbelievable), then he looks at the boy again.]
So this turtle is yours?
[He frowns a little.]
...Why was it up in the sky? The seagulls grabbed it?

That is, until he notices something sparkling in the water. Something sparkling and moving. Albeit slowly, but it's still enough to grab Nagisa's attention. He scoops the critter up, holding it in both hands above his head, eyes wide in amazement. It's not everyday you see a turtle who's not only gold, but has a tail too!
Curious, and maybe a bit too excited about his find, he places the turtle in his lap and fishes out his phone. He snaps a photo of the unique critter with the intention of texting it to a few of his friends, when he notices Urashima's post. ]
oh!
i think i have your turtle!
[insert image: a wonderfully framed snapshot of Kamekichi, the Hefe filter applied to emphasize that amazing gold!]
no subject
But it takes Urashima awhile to reply. Look, when you're crawling around in ponds and looking under bushes, you don't exactly notice your phone buzzing with notifications. After a few minutes, there's a response, )
YEs!
That's her!
Aah she so cute ∩(´∀`∩)
( What a great picture of his new friend. )
Where did you find her?
B
You looking for your new god or something?
no subject
No, no, she isn't a god. ( And his god isn't a turtle. ) I found a turtle in my room and now she's gone!
( Which probably wouldn't be such a weird thing if she didn't always come back when he tried to set her free all day yesterday. )
no subject
[At least, that was Zeno's application of turtle logic to the subject.]
She must have been gone a long while if you think she made it all the from your room to Zeno's... [Turtles being slow, and all. Oh well, he rolls up the one sleeve he has left, since he shredded the other one trying to activate his dragon powers.]
Would it be all right if Zeno helped you look?

[ Given the time he spent learning about "Hades" as a God. However, Hades went by the name of "Zero," whose relationship to Ichiru is to be determined. ]
I'm afraid I'm not sure where it went from there. You should be careful with pets. It would be saddening if they ended up hurt... or worse.
[ Ichiru isn't helping very much now is he? :| ]
no subject
( Oh, but he's concerned now. He isn't familiar with Hades but if someone on the internet is telling him it's dangerous, then clearly, it's dangerous. )
is it okay if I come and look?
( INTO DANGER THE WANNABE FOLK HERO WILL TRY TO GO )
no subject
[ Except Hades isn't even as scary or dangerous as others seem to think. He would know since he's been using it for refuge for a long time now. ]
Certainly. I'm afraid I can't be of much help but I can certainly keep an eye out for the turtle.
I would venture with caution.
[ Now, he's just being mean and partially making it all seem worse than it really is. ]

They don't--at least, not quickly enough for Erk's liking. So with a sigh, he sets his book aside and strides out to the entrance to deal with the disturbance himself.]
Can I help you?
[He sounds more annoyed than helpful.]
no subject
Uhm... maybe! I'm looking for my turtle and I was wondering if you'd seen her? ( He holds up his hands, several inches apart, ) She's this small and gold and has a fluffy tail. ( Fanning out his fingers...
And looking hopeful!? Please, help, Erk. )
no subject
...A fluffy tail.
[He gives the visitor a thoroughly skeptical look.]
Turtles don't have fur. They're reptiles.

Hi Urashima! Is it really a turtle if it has a fluffy tail?

But unlike most visitors to the temple, Jakob knows how to get to the boss level and back; and has furthermore managed to hobble around from illusion to illusion in order to get his chores done, despite a broken leg and an immensely strained relationship with his master.
Which means that he’s far from being in a good mood as he emerges from one illusion into another, only to discover— ]
You! [ Oh, of all the—if he didn’t need his crutch right now he’d probably wave it angrily at you like a pensioner, because dammit Urashima— ]

When he hears Jakob, he jumps, practically going to attention on the spot. )
Ah! ( And then he starts apologizing because look, he didn't mean to intrude. He's sorry. He'll walk right back out. ) Sorry--
( But wait. He knows who this is and he relaxes right away. Heck, he even brightens. )
