[Another day, another prayer. This one shouldn't be too hard. Some guy needs help hunting down an anime figure. Her shinki is an expert on nerdy stuff like this. They can probably knock this out in a single afternoon! So she heads for Barry's room.]

Hey, Barry!

[She at least knocks on the door before she lets herself in, waving a piece of paper in her hand.]

Look sharp, we've got a job.

[As expected, Barry's sitting in his room watching some magical girl show or another. Normally he doesn't let anything or anyone interrupt, but god business is one of the things he'll actually snap to for. Pausing the DVD, he sits up to look at Hiyoko.]

Yes ma'am! What is it this time? Beatin' up more ayakashi?

[talkbirdytome]

Not this time. Some guy wants us to find a rare item for him. Let's see....

[She looks down at the paper she's holding.]

We need.... a Puri Puri Moon limited edition Summer Memories Dia figure. With... blue panties?

[She frowns.]

Do they actually put panties on anime figures? And in different colors?

[very_goodman]

...Yeah?

[Barry glances over at one of his shelves before standing up.]

Huh.

[And moving slightly to the left, to block Hiyoko's view.]

Ya don't say.

I do say.

[Hmmm, awfully subdues reaction there. She'd been half expecting a lecture on the importance of figure color variation.]

Hey, what's up? I thought this'd be right up your alley.

[very_goodman]

Nothing!

[Well, there's a more extreme reaction. Barry holds up his hands, shaking his head as he backs up a bit, moving ever so slowly toward the wall.]

It's just... that one's pretty rare even among collectors, y'know? Might be pretty hard to track down.

That rare, huh?

[Thiiiis is... starting to get suspicious. She takes a step closer.]

Have you ever seen one?

[very_goodman]

I, uh... I might be able to call in a favor.

[He is now reaching around behind him for... well, something, anyway.]

I'll hafta go to Akiba and ask around.

[talkbirdytome]

Barry...

[The innocent tone should alert him to the impending danger.]

What do you have back there?

[very_goodman]

Nothing!

[Awfully defensive there.]

[talkbirdytome]

Then you won't mind showing me.

[very_goodman]

[There's a split second pause as Barry considers his options here. His eyes flicker to Hiyoko's face, and then to the still open door behind her. If he moves fast, he can probably-

yeah you know what he's just gonna go for it]

Forgive me, Hiyoko!

[Barreling past her with his size advantage and clutching the very figurine she's been looking for in his hands, he makes a break for it.]

[talkbirdytome]

[He takes her completely by surprise, and just bowls her over. But even though he makes it out of the room, her voice echoes after him.]

Have it your way! The hunt is on!!

[He should worry.]

[very_goodman]

You'll never take my treasure from me!

[He hustles out into the living room, and it's only after hearing her war cry that he remembers - oh right, this girl wrestles bears for fun.]

[There is no response. From Hiyoko at least. The bear sitting on the living couch gives Barry a look that suggests he's betting against him in this particular contest.

Hiyoko has actually climbed out the window and onto the roof. Barry will have to leave the lodge to escape her. Whatever route he chooses, he's in for a surprise...]

[Ha! He's shaken her off! He's practically home free! And so, out he sprints into the open field in front of the lodge.]

[talkbirdytome]

[He doesn't get far. Descending from above with a battle cry like she's Xena or something, Hiyoko tackles Barry. You'd think a girl her size wouldn't enough to knock him down, but she's got momentum on her side. Or maybe just gravity.

Or insanity. Whatever works.]

You can't escape the clutches of the supreme hunter!!

[Which she just decided she is.]

En garde!

[very_goodman]

[And down he goes. Barry might be a pretty big guy, but he's honestly not much of a fighter on his own. But he's not giving up yet, curling into a tight ball around his prize to protect it.]

I won't give up!

[talkbirdytome]

[The resulting scuffle ends when she finally wrests the prize from his hands and holds it aloft triumphantly!]

Victory is mine!

[After a hearty laugh, she reaches down to her fallen opponent.]

You fought well, Barry. Your people will be proud.

[What people is that?]

[very_goodman]

My... people...

[He just lays there motionless on the grass like the dying figure of Boromir at the end of the first Lord of the Rings movie.]

Anyway, I'm off to deliver this! Udon later?

[She usually gets udon to celebrate a successful prayer.]

Good work, Barry! See you around!

[Yes good work... fleeing and then getting caught.]
