[ It doesn't take Nanako long to settle in at Souji's home. Being as young as she is, it doesn't even occur to live anywhere else other than with her big brother, even if she is a god and might have a temple somewhere. Since the shinki that had been with her when she first woke up had brought her here, she's more than happy to consider this her home and stick close to Souji at the same time.

This house is different from the home she knows, but she takes the time to get familiar with it all the same, falling back into a somewhat familiar routine just like she and Souji had kept back in Inaba. She volunteers herself to help with any chores she sees need doing without prompting and can be found bustling around the interior and exterior of the shrine. One day is spent carefully baking (too many?) cookies in the kitchen, another finds her outside in front of the shrine playing with the many cats that seem to linger around the property. ]

[ While Nanako is usually fairly content to stick close to familiar territory, this place is far different from Inaba, the small town she'd grown up in. Curiosity eventually gets the better of her and once she's feeling more comfortable with her new home at Izanagi Shrine, she starts venturing out further to explore her new surroundings. Many of the other Shrines she spots warrant a closer inspection and Nanako slips close to sate her childish curiosity.

Don't be surprised to find a little girl shyly poking around various shrines and other locations of interest with a sense of wide-eyed fascination. ]

[Nanako is tiny, and Souji's let her into their home. It's a little... weird, but she doesn't mind it too much. Even if Homura does stare a little too long when it's just the two of them. She's gotten used to the few people who live her, so a new one...

She just needs time to adjust.

The day she's making cookies, is the day that Homura is there.]

[ Nanako is still rolling out little dough balls to press onto a baking tray when she hears someone speak up. She hasn't interacted with Homura much at all yet and her smile is still shy and self-conscious when she offers it to the shinki, but she doesn't look opposed to the offer of help. ]

You can help if you want? Do you know how to make cookies?

[ Considering the varied baking and cooking skills of Souji's friends back home, this is a very relevant and important question. ]

[Ruri looks at the little girl poking around at her shrine and shrugs, there are lots of books there and maybe she wants to read something. Still after a bit she quietly walks up and looks over Nanako.]

"Can I help you find a book, or do you want some tea?"

[ The little girl startles a little, looking almost guilty at being caught but offers a hopeful smile all the same. ]

I didn't want to bother anyone. There's a lot of books here. Have you read them all?

[For once, Terra is not actually training outside!

He is instead tending to the gardens and grassy area in the middle of his temple. He is in no way the best at it, but it needs to be done and he's more able to do it than Urashima who would probably work himself half to death trying to help if Terra let him.

So Terra won't.

He doesn't notice the girl poking around until he turns around with a handful of weeds he'd plucked out of one of the flowerbeds.]

Oh, hi. Everything okay?

[Because of course he just accepts a little kid wandering around his temple.]

[ She hadn't meant to linger, but that had been forgotten the moment she'd seen someone weeding in the garden and she'd been drawn closer without even realizing it. She gives him a bright smile when he notices her, especially because he doesn't seem mad to have caught her here. ]

Are you gardening? What are you growing?

[With the loss of his prior god and gaining a new one, Goten really hasn't stopped by Souji's place as often as he would have liked.The god had always been welcoming and friendly since Goten first met him. Plus Souji has helped him with 'homework' prior and offered future assistance too.

Dropping down in front of the shrine, he makes his way through the shrine's grounds before spotting Nanako playing with some of the cats. Curiousity naturally gets the better of him and has him stopping in his tracks before wandering over. One, its a another girl that looks to be around his own age and two; is she a new shinki to Souji? He's never seen her before!]

Are these your cats?

[ People wandering in here isn't completely uncommon so Nanako takes it in stride, glancing up from where she's playing with a fat black and white cat to smile at the unfamiliar boy who looks around her own age. ]

No, I think they're my big brother's. Or maybe they just like it here? I don't know, there's a lot of them, though.

[It all started when his cat decided to explore around his temple, not familiar with anything not snow or cold. The white old floof was padding around the front and stopped when he saw Nanako in the yard, simply staring at her with eyes unblinking.

This was the cat until his owner came out, wondering where his pet went off to.]

Mayhap I should invest a collar with a bell attached.

[And then he turned to see Nanako standing there. A child? What did the Heavens do for this...? His face is first of shock then became gentle as he addressed her.]

Hello there, little one. I was unaware of any potential guests coming here.

[Don't mind the kind tall pointy eared man, he's really nice to kids.]

[ Nanako has an admitted weakness for cats, so when one had appeared out of the shrine, she'd crouched down to make herself very small and tries to lure it closer. The cat, unfortunately, didn't seem inclined to indulge her, so she's still crouched there when the tall man appears. She startles a little but doesn't move, peering up at him curiously instead because he looks very different from anyone she'd ever seen before. ]

Is that your cat, mister?

[Nestled deep inside the belly of a forest (not the damned one masquerading as a graveyard) is a somewhat charming winding path. It's adorned with ancient lanterns on its sides-- and that's about as far as the 'charm' of it goes, to be honest. There is a feeling of unease always wafting through, soaking the atmosphere.

If someone thought that reaching the temple at the path's end will bring an end to the unease-- they'd be right. Shame Neji isn't all that thrilled at the prospect of allowing a kid to go through and good thing he'd been, by chance, wandering through the same route. This is strange-- he doesn't know what to do with children, but that won't stop the simplicity of his question as he moves to, essentially, block the girl's path.]

Are you searching for someone? [And he hopes the answer is a resounding 'no'.]

[ She'd stopped at the edge of the forest, hovering uncertainly there when the path wandered in deeper, her curiosity warring with her uncertainty over whether she should continue exploring in this direction.

She's so immersed in it, in fact, that she completely misses someone else approaching and gives a startled little cry when he seems to suddenly appear in front of her. ]

Ah! I... umm. No?

[ That... wasn't very resounding at all. ]

[This particular temple is an odd one - it looks like someone buried a house in a hill, and there's a quiet garden surrounded by trees off to the side with a more typical, small shrine, as well as two shallow pools and a multitude of vultures blinking and ruffling their wings a little. Shun is not exactly the most inviting when it comes to random visitors, and when he hears someone in the garden, his first instinct is to go and kick them out before they annoy the vultures, or at least see who it is before probably kicking them out anyway.

He's just swept through the entrance in a needlessly intimidating manner when he notices the little girl prodding around the place, pauses, and slows himself a little so his approach is less likely to surprise her.]

What are you doing here? [Despite his entrance, his tone is slightly curious rather than accusing, since kids tend to get a bit more leeway with him than most people do.]

[ If anything is sure to draw Nanako's attention it's a garden, which she's been happy to find several of in her explorations. it's become a game, almost, to see which ones she could find and to figure out what might be growing in them.

This one she hadn't approached too closely, because the birds standing guard over it looked a little scary, even if they seemed to be mostly asleep at the moment. Still, it means she's eyeing the quiet little garden while half-hidden behind one of the surrounding trees, using the large trunk as cover.

For all the good it does her, because she realizes a few moments too late that she's been spotted anyway and steps out from behind the tree in sheepish apology. ]

I'm sorry. You have... The garden looked pretty and I wanted to see. I didn't mean to intrude.

[The Temple of Athena might be of particular interest to Nanako thanks to a particularly strange decoration left by the previous incarnation of Athena. The current one, a woman in her mid twenties presently seated on the grass near the bench, hadn't the heart to remove such a strange choice from the grounds.

Lara herself is reading, just sitting on the grass in a brown tank top and jeans, humming as she reads from a thick looking book in her lap. Occasionally she'll sip at something in a sports bottle, barely looking up until she hears footsteps approaching. Probably Ronald, let's be honest.

Smiling, she calls out.]

Hallo there, little one.

[ There were all sorts of strange looking temples and shrines to be stumbled across, but this one was huge and Nanako had spent her time wandering around the outside of it as she worked her way towards the front, taking in everything with fascination.

When she finally reaches the temple's front (she thinks?), it's to find a pretty grassy lawn and a bench. With a... figure seated on it? Except no, the closer she gets, the more she's pretty sure it's a statue.

Except then the statue talks, or so she thinks, because the figure seated on the bench manages to block her view of what's on the other side. Or who, that is.

Which is why Nanako makes a startled little noise of surprise, gaping at the strange statue and wondering how on earth that had happened. ]

A-are you real? You can talk?

[Zoro had been training on the front of the shrine, as he tends to do most of the time, when he feels someone is watching him.

He turns one way and the other but sees no one, and decides to continue lifting his weights as he does crunches. He frowns when he feels someone's sight again, and decides to investigate.

Leaving his weights behind, he starts walking around the garden, and is confused when he sees no one. He's about to get back to his training when he spots a small human and turns to look at them.

So it wasn't his imagination, there was someone around.]

Hey kid, you lost?

[ She looks a little worried about being spotted because she'd maybe been watching him for a little while, but when he doesn't yell, she straightens up with an uncertain smile. ]

N-no? I'm not lost. [ Technically. ] I'm exploring!

[It takes Simon time to realize he has a guest. To be fair to him it's a big shrine that he's been given, so much that Simon doesn't rightly know what to do with so much space. So far it's been a lot of cleaning and repair work, things that Simon is still in the middle of when his shinki gets his attention. The silent woman taps his shoulder and gestures to the main entrance, where there is a little girl having a look around.

Ixtlilton's temple isn't a dangerous place...but there's a lot of indoor pools, something that Simon quickly decides a small child might need supervision around.]

Hello...are you looking for something?

[Simon tries his best not to sound like Nanako is in trouble, though he still looks faintly concerned as he comes closer.]

[ This was definitely one of the more interesting shrines she's come across so far and she'd been careful when approaching because it looked very old. When someone speaks, she's quick to turn around and, seeing an unfamiliar man there, is quick to offer a polite - if a little unsteady - bow in greeting. ]

No? I was just... looking. Is that okay? I can go, if it isn't.

[Akihiko hasn't been here long enough to consider whether having more than one god in a single temple is really all that strange-- either way, with Souji and Nanako, it works well. As young as Nanako is, it makes sense that she would want to stay close to her family, and Akihiko finds that her cheerful presence has done a lot to brighten the atmosphere.

He smiles when he wanders into the kitchen in search of lunch, only to find that Nanako's been baking.]

Looks like you've been keeping yourself busy, Nanako-chan.

[Really, he's impressed by how much she can do all on her own.]

[ Nanako had just finished cooling one batch while waiting for another to finish baking, but she looks up when Akihiko enters with a bright smile. ]

I made cookies! Do you want one?

[Sora's out and about that day getting his pet some much needed time away from his own temple. The companion gets really fussy when he's not let out sometimes for some fresh air and exercise.

...Though, the same things could be said about Sora.

The animal is very friendly so hopefully Nanako doesn't mind a giant fat blue cat dog puppy running at her while boofing happily in greeting. Hello! Hello!!!]

[ Oh my god, it's weird and cute and now she wants ten.

Nanako isn't that startled to be approached by the exuberant pet. In fact, as it bounces around her, she crouches down closer to greet it, looking delighted at the attention. ]

Hello! Did you run away? That's not very good, you could get lost! [ She gently chides the... whatever it is, even though the fact that she's giggling while she says it probably doesn't make the scolding a very convincing one. ]

B - it begins

[It had occurred to Chikusa, fairly early on, that he'd need to write down all the information he was getting. After all, he's an amnesiac- it seems kind of foolish to rely on his memory considering that basic fact. So he'd gone on a small errand after informing Axel, and it's only now he's returning, with a small backpack and sporting a new gray pom beanie. He's not expecting anything when he comes up to the temple, save for perhaps one of the strange talking cats that have started hanging around lately...]

[...Except there's a familiar tiny figure lingering around the edges of the deceivingly small temple, and he comes to an abrupt stop.]

...Oh.

[He... hadn't realized she was part of the Far Shore.]

[ Hearing the voice, Nanako turns around to see who had spoken before catching sight of Chikusa. She breaks into a bright smile as she recognizes him. ]

It's the Yo-yo Mister! Hello! Is this where you live?

[ He's only barely gotten accustomed to the way the Near Shore works - that it's full of temples - when he walks by Izanagi Jingu to see the very young girl there. He stares for a little too long, trying to figure out if she's some sort of short spirit or an actual person like he is, just younger. How can there be someone even younger than him here?

But then she finishes chores and gets around to play with the cats and he keeps following where she goes, figuring out that she must in fact be a young girl. Wow. How horrible. ]

[ It takes her a bit to notice someone else is there, because she'd been preoccupied hanging up laundry. But once she's done, she pauses on her way back to play with the cats and it's then that she sees him, lingering outside the shrine.

Still shy, but curious and friendly in the safety of her brother's home, she approaches him with a smile. ]

Hello! Are you looking for Souji? [ Which she thought was most likely, since this was his temple and she hadn't met many people herself yet. ]
