Who: Ouka/Aya/Kairi & Ouka/Aya/Omi
What: Prayers and shopping
When: May 31st & June 3rd (backdated forever~)
Where: Various places in the Far Shore
[A. 5/31] Ouka/Aya/Kairi Prayer
[ Ouka is excited to be making more friends finally. She's really taken a liking to Kairi, and invited her over to meet Aya as well. With everything that's happened, a girls' night seemed to be in order.
She hears a knock at the door and immediately bolts out of her chair. ] I'LL GET IT!! [ Her yell rings through the villa as she dashes down the hallway to open the door for their guest ]
[B. 6/3] Ouka/Aya/Omi Shopping
[ If there's one thing more exciting than shopping, it's shopping with Omi. Ouka has spent the past hour picking out the perfect outfit for the day. Finally, she gives herself a once over in the mirror, decides that this is the outfit, and makes her way down the hall toward Aya's room. She knocks excitedly on the door ] Are you ready? He'll probably be here any minute~

Ouka/Aya/Kairi Prayer
Thanks for inviting me over, Ouka!
[ She has a small overnight duffle with her, just in case, but it does include some more fun things that she was able to procure while shopping. There's a new barrette in her hair too, shaped like a star, courtesy of her fellow Artemis Shinki, Senri. ]
Am I early?
[ She wasn't trying to be, but she's hoping to meet Aya or get a tour of this cool place. ]
no subject
I think Aya will be down soon.
[ As she's closing the door behind Kairi, she notices the barrette. ]
That's so cute! Is it new? [ She's hoping it is, because she kind of wants to find something like it. ]
no subject
[Oh, and here she is.
[Aya arrives in the entrance hall just in time to see Kairi walk in with her tote, and she breaks into a smile.]
Oh, Kairi! Did you find us all right? It's so strange trying to find places around here. Um... [She gestures about herself at the entrance hall, which seems far too grand to have a stray hatstand and a cluster of young women's shoes by the door.] You can leave the bag anywhere, really. Or do you need it with you?
no subject
[It seems appropriate to thank Aya since it's her temple, but she's glad to see that they're all more or less the same age.]
And yeah it is new, Ouka - another one of Artemis's shinki made it for me! His name's Senri. He's shy, but super nice.
[She sets her things down for right now just out of the walkway so that none of them trip.]
I think he might have made it because he borrowed one of my anklet charms, so this was to kind of pay me back?
[Kairi laughs about it but she also knows it could sound weird to the other two girls.]
no subject
[ She gives the barrette one more stare before turning her attention back to the group. Not to worry, Kairi, she's likely to forget about the barrette after shopping. ]
no subject
[Aya smiles. Maybe she doesn't know Kairi, but it's always nice to meet another girl her own age.
[And Ouka, you can't just ask someone to make you something. Especially not when it was a present, that's not very polite or how it works, is it? Unless... well, unless it was different if you were Ouka and it had always been okay before and now wasn't really the time to get into that either.]
He sounds like a nice person. I'm glad! This place puts us all together so - so strangely sometimes, so it's good to know you're with people you like.
no subject
[ She plucks it out of her hair and sets it down with her overnight things. ]
I wouldn't want to get it ruined while we were out answering this prayer - who knows what could happen!
[ But she's excited, not anxious. ]
What sort of prayer did the person make?
no subject
Either way, she'll be glancing at Aya now, because lets be honest, she hadn't really been paying attention 100%. ]
It's... [ yeah Aya, fill in the blanks please. ]
I've never been on a prayer before. I hope it's not too hard?
no subject
[It seems odd, too, that the others are both looking at her for guidance. Well... you are the God here, Aya, even if nobody told you exactly what that means.]
And - oh, it's really sad. A lady says her daughter's... well, I think she must be missing. She says she hasn't seen her for a year, but - I think she must be somewhere. The lady says she might see her again. So, well... I'm not really sure what to do next, actually. But I really wanted to do something, and - I don't know. All I can think of is giving her a really good dream about her.
[It doesn't sound like much help, when she says it aloud.]
I mean, unless you guys have any better ideas. I don't think mine is that great.
no subject
Oh no, a year? That's...
[She can't remember what it was like to wait for Sora and Riku, her two best friends, to be gone for so long, but on the other hand she's struggling with something that's not "Just have hope!"]
Hmm. A dream would be nice, but when Roxas and I helped one lady, who was struggling with her mother being sick, we left her with a memento. What about... leaving her something to wake up from the dream and show it to her in the dream too, so she'll look for it?
[She props up her elbow with one hand and then her chin with the free hand.]
I wish we could write her a letter...
no subject
[ Ouka pauses to consider the option. ] I guess we shouldn't impersonate anyone?
[ The idea of leaving something tangible behind after a nice dream did sound nice. ]
Can we... [
stalk and/or creep] Can we go visit the mother? And see what the daughter was like?no subject
[Which, well, phooey. What better way was there to prove the daughter was okay? But - but they didn't know she was okay, or anything at all, so that was definitely a bad idea - hope was one thing, but she didn't want to give this woman false hope.
[A memento, though--]
I... wait a minute.
[Oh, this is going to sound weird. Aya glances back at the stairs.]
Can you... um, will you be okay for a bit? I think I've got an idea, but - there's something I've got to show you, first. I'll be right back!
[And - she's off, running back to her room.]
no subject
[She gives a slight wave as Aya leaves the room, then turns to Ouka.]
Do you have any idea what she could be thinking? You know her better.
[She's not mad Aya left; she's just hoping that Aya's not upset about her first prayer the way that Roxas was.]
no subject
Um... no.
[ But she shrugs it off. Aya said she'd be right back, so she will. ]
I'm sure we'll find out real soon.
no subject
[But she's all smiles as she walks back to the others, holding up - a slightly battered-looking, entirely unremarkable plush cat, with a faded pink ribbon about its neck.]
Here! Miss Kitty.
[She's adorable, isn't she?
[Also, you have no idea why she's here. Well--]
She was my favorite when I was a little girl. I... thought I'd lost her when I got here, but... well, this is going to sound weird, but a few days ago I had this dream where I was back home. And - and when I woke up, I was still holding Miss Kitty.
[She looks down at the plush and gives it a little squeeze, for comfort.]
So... it looks like maybe I can bring things back. From dreams, I mean.
no subject
[As far as she knew, Roxas couldn't do something like that, but he was a hunting goddess, not an... 'elemental' type like fire or water or even dreams.]
Are you thinking if we go in her dream then we could bring something back that will remind her of her daughter?
[It's not a bad idea, if that is what Aya's thinking. She'd feel bad if Aya's offering up her own toy to give to the woman, plus they were just talking about personalizing this to the daughter.]
no subject
Oh right. First thing's first... ]
Yes! That sounds perfect. We'll give her a nice dream and let her bring back a memento from it.
no subject
Mm... that was what I was hoping for. I know I was really happy to have Miss Kitty back, so I guess there must be something like that we can do for her daughter. Like... I don't know. Like a necklace or a bracelet or something. I guess it'll depend on what the daughter is like.
[Well, they all seem to be in agreement. That's the main thing, right?]
So, um... what now? Do we have to go to her house or something? Oh, I wish they gave us guides or - or lessons, or something. I don't really know what to do.
no subject
[She folds her hands over her chest.]
When I used my shinki power for the first time, I thought about warm things - I thought about what I could do if my power worked the way I thought it would. Some kind of... hope, I guess, that what I was doing was important. I don't know if that will work for you, but you could give it a shot? Just try imagining all of us being there with you in her dream to figure out what would help her - because you're right that it depends on what the daughter's like.
Maybe if we can all look in the dream instead of you by yourself, it won't be as scary.
[For Aya and thus maybe it will actually work.]
no subject
Eyes wide, she leans in a little at Kairi's words. No point in talking. She'll just wait for something to happen. ]
Ouka/Aya/Omi Shopping
[Oh, if only she was back home.
[It's so awkward, trying to find things to wear when everything you'd had back home is just... not there any more. New clothes are lovely and today's outfit - a short-sleeved white shirt and a soft blue skirt - is, well, it's nice, but she still misses her old grey cardigan and last year's sandals, never mind that they're scuffed and showing their age a little. Familiar shoes, at least, would have been nice.
[Are the pigtails too childish? She turns to look at herself in the mirror, frowning just a little. But it's so hot outside at the moment, and they're going to be trying on clothes... she needs to do something with her hair, doesn't she?
[It'll do, she thinks finally, and snatches her bag from the bed, and throws open the door.]
I'm not late, am I? Did he say when he'd be here?
no subject
You're not late! He'll be here any minute, I'm sure of it.
no subject
Hello...? Is it okay to come in?
no subject
[It's not until she reaches the atrium, feeling tumbled and a little out of breath, that it occurs to Aya she could have just, well, blipped there and she really has no excuse for showing up looking flushed and untidy already. On the other hand, she isn't sure that's a habit to be getting into - not for avoiding the stairs, anyway, there's nothing wrong with her legs.]
Omi! Good morning, please do come in! We're just getting ready. Oh, but do you want to sit down before we head out? It's really warm today. Do you need a drink?
[Am I going at all overboard in my attempts to be hospitable?
[Oh, why do I overthink everything around this boy?]
no subject
Oh! Right. Aya has some really nice ideas. Instead of waiting for an answer, though, Ouka
forcesleads Omi toward an armchair. At least she's not shoving him in the seat herself. ]no subject
[The word turns into a surprised cry as Ouka grabs his hand and tugs him off towards the living room chair. He grins sheepishly at Ouka.]
Good morning to you too, Ouka. Aren't you eager to go shop?
no subject
[Aya appears in the living-room doorway, her eyes going wide. Except she's giggling. Well, it's funny.
[It's massively forward and makes her feel a little bit weird, but it's funny. And besides, whatever else this... this weird relationship she's developed with Ouka might involve, she is not her friend's mother and it is certainly none of her business how she might choose to talk to Omi. Or, you know, drag Omi about the place and aim him at a chair.]
Omi's right, though... we don't want to be too late. We've got quite a lot to do, right?
[And I'd kind of like to be back in time to finally use this incredibly tempting swimming pool.
[Omi does not need to know that, though.]
no subject
Regardless, Ouka is pretty flexible. Going shopping was what Omi had come over for, in any case. ]
Well, if you're ready to go, Omi. C'mon, then! [ She'll just be pulling Omi by the hand back toward the door, now. And she's grabbing onto Aya's hand on the way there as well. ]
I want plenty of time to try on all the swim suits~
no subject
Yes, yes! [He says appeasingly.] Lots of swimsuit time...
[And since they're all joined by the hands now, Omi will just... quietly focus on his Near Shore shrine and then the shopping center and pop them over with a couple of teleports.
Hey, he is a fan of efficiency.]

[One minute they're standing in her hallway - though thinking of that as hers is also taking some getting used to. The next, they're standing in sunlight in the middle of a crowded street, gazing up at the glazed and glossy fronts of dozens and dozens of stores. For a moment, she can hardly think why nobody is staring, why three teenagers appearing in the center of the sidewalk, just like that, has not drawn stares at the very least. Then she remembers, recalls that one of the peculiarities of her position is the sort of half-seen way she passes, now, on what they call the Near Shore.
[Still, it definitely beats twenty sweltering minutes on an stuffy and overcrowded bus, lurching through stop-start traffic, or braving the various perils of the subway. Aya isn't complaining, it's just odd.]
Well--! I... guess we should better get started, then. Um... Ouka? Where did you want to go first?
no subject
She points toward what seems to be a bustling department store. ]
How about there?
[ Seems like a good variety of things to start with. ]
