[OPEN] this is a sticky situation
Who: Amane and you!
What: Amane goes shopping, and find herself in a cool yet sticky situation when she returns. Literally.
When: IC: June 4
Where: Shops (Near Shore), Random Temples (Far Shore)
WARNINGS: N/A.
► A: A Mundane Time. (Near Shore)
[With the weather growing warmer, and the strangeness that happened with the parade. Amane thought of something. Shopping. It gives her something to do, maybe get new clothes for herself. If she can’t buy them, she can get ideas and perhaps suggest them to Forrest later.
So there’s a young teenage girl in one of the stores, either a specialised clothes store or a department’s clothing section, looking a bit lost by all the choices. She really can’t tell if the prices are good, expensive or standard.
Turning to the nearest person (hopefully, they would notice her), she get their attention.]
Excuse me, are these good prices?
[Maybe she’s gesturing to a normal shirt, or skirt. Or maybe it’s the most flowery thing in the shop. Fortunately, not the tackiest?]
► B: But Things Get Icky (Far Shore)
[When she returns to the Far Shore, Amane makes her trip back towards Oya’s Temple with her shopping bags in her hands. Only to slow down to a stop when she suddenly feel... something cool touching her. Something cool and smells like nostalgia? And then soon enough, she glances up a little and feel the shaved, flavoured ice being sprinkled onto her face.
In fact, it’s being fallen all over her. Shifting her shopping bags to one hand, Amane try to use her free hand to cover herself with it, and her connected sleeve. Regardless, it’s still going to stain her and her clothes. And she runs.
Thinking it might be the weather, she head for the nearest possible shelter. Which may very well be YOUR temple!
So yeah, there’s a girl near your temple and her uniform looks like there’s some dark, wet patches all over. Even the flower headband she wears is stained with something… blue?]
Ah, excuse me for intruding so suddenly.

B
"Are you ok?"
no subject
She straightens up, lowering her hand from shielding her head. And, embarrassingly, aware of how she might have look from her briefest of glances at her clothes.]
Ah... yes, I'm okay. I was surprised by... [What in the world is that, by the way?] ... something strange.
no subject
[With that Ruri motions to the temple a bit.]
"I can't offer everything, but I do have towels."
no subject
If you don't mind, I would be grateful to have a place to clean myself for a while.
no subject
"Not at all. I can get you a towel, or the bathhouse is over there."
[With that she points to a building by the temple]
"This place does odd things to people at odd times. At least it wasn't what would cause this on the other side."
no subject
I think I'll borrow the bathhouse. [It might be better to wash whatever that fell on her off her skin. Although her headband would need to be laundered later. She glances at Ruri.] Have you heard of something similiar to this happen before? Something like a... light shower of coloured liquid?
no subject
"Nothing like that, but this place seems to exist to give me headaches with illogical events."
no subject
[Like weather-based phenomenon, a tendency to use natural resources... Although that doesn't explain this flavoured scent she smell on her drenched clothes.]
no subject
B
When he hears the sound of footsteps in the grass, he turns almost immediately, tossing one last shred of meat out to the birds. Amane is easy enough to recognise even with her outfit stained like that, and Shun comes out of the garden entrance with a faintly incredulous look on his face.]
What the hell happened to you? [It looks like she got into a small-scale paintball fight.]
Re: B
Yeah, this is making her feel mildly embarrassing.]
I'm not sure... Something cool was falling down on me. [A quick and cautious glance above her. The melted shaved ice feels cool against her skin, but she doesn't see anything coming down right now.] ... It stopped, I think.
[Or maybe she's safe near a temple's grounds?]
no subject
When she looks above her, Shun follows that gaze with his own, and the absence of anything unusual leads him to look back down to her after a moment or two.]
If you came to my grounds to try and get away from it, then, it must've worked. Unless you needed something else.
[His tone makes it rather clear it's an offer - he generally doesn't invite people in, but if she wants to try washing it off or something, he wouldn't turn her down.]
no subject
If you don't mind, I would like to borrow a place to wash and change in.
no subject
Come in, then. It's not as if there isn't more than enough space in here for something like that.
no subject
[And well, she prefers being inside for washing up and changing into dry clothes. Amane follows after Shun into the temple.]
A
[For a second, he doesn't realize she's even talking to him- he's on the Near Shore, after all, so he's expecting to be ignored- but after a second, he finally looks to her as if blinking out of a haze.]
...Oh. You. [He remembers her slightly, from the festival, before things went to shit. Shifting, he inspects what has her interest.] Are you trying to save money...?
Re: A
Oh, his question.]
... Generally, yes. [Saving money is a good thing, after all.] I'm not used to shopping for clothes, so I don't know what's to expect from the prices.
no subject
[...But not a lot of people are particularly meticulous like that sometimes, or are just in a rush. And he knows better than to just suggest stealing. Right now, anyway.]
You have one of those phones, don’t you...?
no subject
[She can browse on the internet. But a part of Amane likes going into the stores and look around for herself. She takes out her phone, still in sleep mode.]
Between all the different fashion styles and brands, it feels like a lot to take in.
no subject
[Thank god for modern technology. It's not something Chikusa thinks he's used to himself, at least not enough to it have been a habit that carried over from life into death, but he's quickly gotten the hang of it.]
Isn't it easier to stick to one fashion, then...?
no subject
[She turns on her phone, opening up the mobile browser if they need to.]
But I'm thinking of trying something new. [As in, something other than her strange uniform. There's some part of her that want to try.]
A
For this? [Puts the jeans down, takes the flowery skirt out of her hands. Checks the tag, tests the strength of the seams...] ... A little expensive, I think. It isn't very well made.
sorry for the late!
I guess I won't buy it. [Plenty of fishes in the sea. Or skirts. Amane tilts her head a bit.] But it's not well made?
