There were certainly a lot of broken hearts and emotional roller coasters recently, so the Heavens have decided it's time to allow their people to let loose and have some fun for a little while. Through some magic - or possibly just a lot of money - they have managed to rent out an entire private beach for the event so that they won't be interrupted by any Near Shore residents. The beach is beautiful and well-maintained, the ocean goes for as far as the eye can see, and rocky outcroppings offer a handy place to dive into the water on a test of courage.

It's a beautiful summer day, perfect for swimming and cracking watermelons and playing some beach volleyball. There's even some soft music permeating the air so that nothing is every silent on this fun-filled day.

New arrivals, after having been met at the Meeting Hall, would have been immediately redirected to this party. After all, they should be enjoying themselves as well.



Swimwear

Anyone who doesn't have swimwear will be provided with swimwear to fit their needs. Unfortunately, the Heavens don't have access to a lot of swimwear, so you'll likely wind up with something ugly, something old, or something just plain weird.

Playful Fish

The sea critters are excited about the party too. They're happy to swim up to anyone in the water and will even come up to the shallows to take a look at the fun happening on the shore. Toe nibbling and brushes of scales are in your future, so you'd better get used to the idea if you plan on being in the water.

Barbecue

Some basics have been provided, but everyone has been asked to bring a little something to the barbecue as well if they can. So you're more than welcome to grab one of the many grills and start frying things up. Heck, there are even fishing poles available if you feel like hauling in a few of those friendly fish to grill. Additionally, summery drinks have been provided, including iced tea, lemonade, water, and horribly fruity cocktails.

After Dark

Just because the sun is down doesn't mean that the party's stopping! The barbecue will continue well into the night, lit now by the stars and a huge, roaring bonfire. The bonfire is maintained by Amaterasu's shinki and climbs higher than any bonfire has the right to. Also, there are floating lights in the water so that people can continue swimming now that it's dark. And if you happen to get too drunk to go home, don't worry. A white-clad shinki will be happy to put you back to bed at the end of the night. Additionally, some sparklers and small bottle rockets have been provided for your entertainment.

[Sumio immediately found himself a swimsuit, and while it's a little eye-searing, he really doesn't mind before it's not long before he's in the water, swimming around and whooping excitedly.

If he happens to spot anyone just standing on the shore, he'll wave to them energetically.]

[Sumio seems pretty stoked about the fireworks too. For someone who just died, he's awfully excitable.

Anyway, he'll be running around with a few lit sparklers, offering one to anyone who is empty-handed.]

Her face turns from its normal shade to crimson, and she covers her cheeks as if she could stop her blush from spreading any further. ] M--.....marriage?! [ She squeaks. This is the last thing she expected to be asked of her today! ]

[ Nanako hasn't been down on the beach for very long yet, and what time she had been here she'd stuck close to Souji and his shinki but eventually she wanders off to explore a little on her own, assured that it was safe. Venturing down to the water's edge, she splashes in the shallows with delighted giggles, dancing back from the fish that swim up to investigate.

There are others nearby, some wading out deeper than she dares but for the most part she doesn't pay them much mind. At least not until she hears someone noisily having fun and drawing her attention to the boy with the bright green hair not far away.

The sight and sound of him having fun makes her giggle but a moment later she's swaying where she stands, her eyes going wide and unfocused as images flash through her sights, a slideshow of the boy's final moments and an eerie looking skull that has her giving a distressed cry before she crumples to her knees in the shallow waves, shocked and unseeing. ]

[Sumio was definitely having a lot of fun, but hearing that cry draws his attention to the little girl... and he looks over just in time to see her fall to her knees.

Immediately, he makes a beeline for her, swimming towards her as fast as he can and splashing up into the shallows, concern etched all over his face.]

H-hey, hey! Are you okay? Wh... what happened?? Did a jellyfish get you or something??

[He's looking around like he can spot what caused her such distress.]

[He blinks. And then waves the sparkler at her a little.]

It's not the only thing that's hot around here, you know~

But enough about you. C'mon, take it! It's fun, promise!

[... that was oddly smooth, good job Sumio.]

[Sumio probably didn't intend to shove a glittering stick at a dog - he probably meant it for the poor fool making a swift break for it - but Ammy lifts her head from her folded paws regardless, ears up and flicking at the strange noises the sparkler makes and how it shoots off little glowing embers. Ammy blink at it, awed and curious, sniffing at the strange object before her nose wrinkles and she pulls her head away. Smells like smoke, bleh!

But that doesn't deter her for long, she still is curious about this little glitter wand, and follows after it with her eyes and her head, rapt with attention. Eventually, her tail begins to wag and she's following after Sumio and his sparklers, batting at her with her paws when he sits still long enough. If he's offering, she may take one into her mouth, mimicking what he was doing and giving her head a vigorous shake, the shining end of the sparkler throwing wild, white streaks and patterns through the air.

Don't expect Ammy to give it back now, though. This thing is cool!! She's absolutely keeping it.]

[Yeah, he definitely didn't mean to offer the sparkler to a dog. After she sniffs at it, he lets out a laugh and pulls the stick back.]

Sorry, puppy. I didn't mean to make you smell something gross!

[He'll go back to playing with the sparklers, but her pawing... actually catches his attention and his eyes widen.]

Oh? Ohhhh?? You wanna play with it? Okay, okay, here, be careful!

[... what kind of idiot just gives a dog a sparkler? This idiot, honestly. And he lets out a yelp and a laugh as she shakes her head.]

Yeah, yeah! You've got it! C'mon, it's more fun if you run around!

[Sumio looks down, and yeah, there's a bunch of fish and things all around him, but...]
