There were certainly a lot of broken hearts and emotional roller coasters recently, so the Heavens have decided it's time to allow their people to let loose and have some fun for a little while. Through some magic - or possibly just a lot of money - they have managed to rent out an entire private beach for the event so that they won't be interrupted by any Near Shore residents. The beach is beautiful and well-maintained, the ocean goes for as far as the eye can see, and rocky outcroppings offer a handy place to dive into the water on a test of courage.

It's a beautiful summer day, perfect for swimming and cracking watermelons and playing some beach volleyball. There's even some soft music permeating the air so that nothing is every silent on this fun-filled day.

New arrivals, after having been met at the Meeting Hall, would have been immediately redirected to this party. After all, they should be enjoying themselves as well.



Swimwear

Anyone who doesn't have swimwear will be provided with swimwear to fit their needs. Unfortunately, the Heavens don't have access to a lot of swimwear, so you'll likely wind up with something ugly, something old, or something just plain weird.

Playful Fish

The sea critters are excited about the party too. They're happy to swim up to anyone in the water and will even come up to the shallows to take a look at the fun happening on the shore. Toe nibbling and brushes of scales are in your future, so you'd better get used to the idea if you plan on being in the water.

Barbecue

Some basics have been provided, but everyone has been asked to bring a little something to the barbecue as well if they can. So you're more than welcome to grab one of the many grills and start frying things up. Heck, there are even fishing poles available if you feel like hauling in a few of those friendly fish to grill. Additionally, summery drinks have been provided, including iced tea, lemonade, water, and horribly fruity cocktails.

After Dark

Just because the sun is down doesn't mean that the party's stopping! The barbecue will continue well into the night, lit now by the stars and a huge, roaring bonfire. The bonfire is maintained by Amaterasu's shinki and climbs higher than any bonfire has the right to. Also, there are floating lights in the water so that people can continue swimming now that it's dark. And if you happen to get too drunk to go home, don't worry. A white-clad shinki will be happy to put you back to bed at the end of the night. Additionally, some sparklers and small bottle rockets have been provided for your entertainment.

Through the Day

[An energetic young girl (who might be familiar to some) can be found pretty much anywhere during the duration of the event. She'll bounce from place to place, eagerly making sure that everyone is having fun. She doesn't seem keen on going into the water, but she is wearing a cute and ruffly swimsuit and her normal headdress.]

Volleyball

[She's not very good at the sport, but darned if she isn't trying her best!! Diving for every incoming ball, even when there's no way she can reach them, it's not long before she's just COVERED with sand.]

...oh... it's more sandy than I expected!!

BBQ

[While she can't really help with the cooking (she's not much of a cook), she is happily helping anyone who is cooking, running errands and excitedly taste-testing anything.]

That smells delicious! Ahhh, I can't wait to try some!

[...oh, and she has one of those little fruity cocktails too... hmm...]

Fireworks

[While staying far away from the fireworks herself, she looks on in awe of anyone who happens to be playing with them.]

They're... they're so pretty!!

[Late into the night, she still has a cocktail in hand as she sits in front of the bonfire, staring into the depths of the flames. She looks sleepy, like an overwhelmed child almost, but also very pensive and determined. And as more time wears on, the light from the bonfire will start to look dark in comparison to the light gently emanating from the girl.]

[Chikusa is also staying away from the fireworks, but, then again, it seems like he's been staying away from most things lately. Perhaps that's why him and her are in the same vicinity, and he glances to her with eyes that seem a lot darker in the gloom.]

[....Also please ignore the fact that, despite the fact that he's at a beach, he's wearing a hat. That. Might have "DEAD" printed on it in bold outprint. Clearly the hat to wear to make a great first impression, here.]

[There is a massive umbrella shading a towel-covered beach chair, shading one blindingly pasty prince from the sun.

Leo does not want to be here, but Sora had shown up with tomato-print swim trunks (how did he know and where did he find them!?) and refused to take no for an answer.

So he is here. Sitting in the shade. Praying he doesn't burn and nose buried in a book.

[During one of the stretches where he needs to stand, Leo spots a familiar gray head and stares for a good minute or two before a ball hits his back and snaps him out of it.

Takumi. Takumi is here--oh good gods, please let him remember. Please let him be a god.

Leo approaches his friend, adjusting the parasol he demanded someone pick up for him so he could reach out and tap his friend's shoulder.]

[It's been so long since he last went swimming, Terra was almost afraid he'd forgotten how. It's not easy to swim this close to the shore anyway, but he is more than happy to just get into splash fights or float around or let the friendly little fish be nosy at him.

But really, splash fights are the best.]

Look, it's warm, the sea breeze is refreshing, and his towel is way too comfortable for him to resist. At least he isn't likely to sunburn, but he has a sunshade just in case!]

[Sumio immediately found himself a swimsuit, and while it's a little eye-searing, he really doesn't mind before it's not long before he's in the water, swimming around and whooping excitedly.

If he happens to spot anyone just standing on the shore, he'll wave to them energetically.]

[How can he contain himself with all of these girls in swimsuits around??? Anytime he spots a cute girl he hasn't met yet, Sumio will spring upon her and grab for her hands.]

[Sumio seems pretty stoked about the fireworks too. For someone who just died, he's awfully excitable.

[ As far away from the festivities as one can get while still having a view of the whole beach, somebody's erected a pale gold umbrella edged with tasseled fringe. A beach blanket's been spread out beneath it, and propped up in a white wooden beach chair atop this blanket, what looks like a young, unbelievably attractive young man is hanging out all by their lonesome.

They don't seem too put out by this, nor have they (seemingly) dressed for the occasion in swimwear - loose purple clothing seems to be the style du jour instead. They've also got on a pair of designer sunglasses, and seem to be browsing a theater script. Anybody who gets close enough to read it will find it's for "The Knight of Persailles 2".

This person hasn't flipped a page in their script for quite some time, however. And beneath those glasses, but above a glass of iced tea, their eyes are taking in the party instead. Keenly.

Maybe you'll even feel their eyes on you. ]

[No eyes for him, as his approach is from the wrong direction to be watched easily. But he's not subtle about it, the shiff of sand as he walks not being kicked everywhere but still noticeable - not sneaking. Maybe not a threat?

Xehanort's selection is deliberate. For one, this fellow has a book. For two, he has shade. Both things he can appreciate, and perhaps it would be a good spot to begin on his own notes.]

May I borrow some of your shade for a while?

[His tone is unfailingly polite, the sort that suggests if he's told no he'll simply go elsewhere.]

[Despite the fact that this is clearly a beach party, Chikusa.... doesn't seem particularly dressed for it. There's just a plain blue t-shirt, although it's incredibly large as it drapes over the shinki's skinny frame, and simple shorts and sandals.]

[Still. He can be found around places, going at his own lethargic pace.]

A - Barbecue

[It's highly likely that the only reason Chikua is even cooking is for himself. Still, he seems to be handling himself well enough as he grills some enormous portabello mushrooms. He's quiet as he works, not really paying attention to any- ]

[Oh, wait, no, you just got smacked at with the spatula. Welp. At least it doesn't seem like he's really committed to it, so ]

[Were you trying to snatch a bite? Just standing too close? Who knows with Chikusa.]

B - After Dark

[It seems like only when most people have been swimmed-out from having fun during the daytime hours does Chikusa start to venture towards the water. He's still clad in his usual clothes, the kanji on his ankle a little harder to see in the gloom, but he goes to settle in the more shallow water with his knees drawn up and the water lapping gently up against him.]

[Apparently he's just trying to avoid people right now.... So that means he should absolutely be bothered right now.]

Arrival/BBQ

[It isn't til late afternoon that Xehanort arrives. Certainly he'd been in this world longer, but he'd had Questions and wouldn't be herded off until they were answered to his satisfaction. Where this was, what was going on got covered of course, but more detail about Anubis, whom he was now supposed to be and everything that entailed was far more important than some frivolous party.

Until he was told by the polite but obviously wanting to be elsewhere shinki that he'd find his own shinki, and probably the answers he wanted, at that same frivolous party. Why were gods throwing a beach party?

But as the afternoon wears on he turns up reluctantly at the beach, a few boxes of mixed soda cans held carefully in his arms. He had been told by the storekeeper .. shelf stocker? That everyone liked pop, and if kids would be there alcohol was a bad idea. The boxes of cans are set carefully amongst everything else, and as the young scientist takes a slow survey of the area, frowning faintly, nobody at all that he sees strikes him as anything but normal.

Where were the gods?]

Fishing

[This is not what he'd expected. THESE PEOPLE WERE THE GODS.

That Gods are basically perfectly ordinary people goofing off on a beach somehow made sense with what he knew about life and its many ills. Only able to handle being around crowds for so long, at sunset Xehanort grabs a fishing pole, some bait, and makes for the rocks at the edge of the beach to do some fishing. He hadn't fished in a couple years but the principle was the same and it gave him an amazing excuse to get away from the noise and mayhem.

This would be going better if the fish immediately nearby weren't more interested in playing with the hook and bobber, literally, than being caught by it. The feathertopped bobber is swirling busily and rapidly in circles, but the young man is very obviously not pulling it up, just staring at the water with a flat, utterly unamused expression.

The fish currently hanging onto the bottom of the bobber however is obviously having the time of its life.]

After Dark

[With sunlight faded, Xehanort's relocated closer to that roaring pillar of flame someone's decided to call a bonfire, finally with a meal of his own that mostly seems to comprise of chicken wings and little else.

Given the considerable pile of the things he has, he probably has enough to share if someone were to venture to ask.]

[Part way through the day, Niles is walking around in a wet t-shirt, and a pair of grey boardshorts, something he bought a while ago just in case. And oh look, it worked out in his favor. The t-shirt? Will probably be thown out at the end of the night.

In fact, he's cold right now, what with a wet t-shirt pressed against his naked chest, but it works out very nicely for him.

Considering that he's a walking fantasy for some people. And has no issue playing around with that.]

After Dark

[Niles has ditched the wet t-shirt, and is instead now just wearing his boardshorts. After all, he's had his fun, and it's time to spend the rest of the night relaxing. He chuckles as he moves to sit down on the beach off to the side. He's in a more of a relaxed state tonight, as he's staring up at his favorite thing.

He's not sure why the moon and the stars are his favorite things. But looking at them keeps him at peace. And anyone who chooses to talk to him now will get a Niles they aren't particularly used to.

He doesn't even have booze. Instead, sitting there with an iced tea, he's just relaxed and at peace.]

[This was going to be fun. After digging through a bunch of different piles, Nari feels he's found the perfect pair of swim trunks. They were ridiculous and spoke to him in a way he can't explain. Maybe he liked cats when he was alive? Either way he's going to proudly walk around in these shorts. Since he doesn't have sandals and doesn't want to walk on hot sand, he's going to pair these trunks with his hiking boots. Feel free to stare. These trunks are great. Clearly this guy is a shinki since there's a name on his left shoulder blade over a scar (one of a few), which if someone knows kanji, is definitely the symbol for cat. These trunks were destined to be.]

[Playful Fish]

[There's nothing like having the hell scared out of you than something brushing against your legs in the water. Is it a stingray or a not-so-stinging ray? Who knows. All Nari cares about is sitting waist deep in the water and just feeling like a stingray god with these gentle creatures swimming about.]

These are not my people, but I will take them.

[He's not crazy. Just very easy to please as he pets the rays when they swim by.]

[After Dark]

[Swimming in the dark seems like the stupidest idea in the world, so the redhead avoids it. Sitting by a fire seemed like a much better waste of time as he tries to figure out how the hell he's going to find his gods temple. It's not like they were handed instructions when they got here. Would have been nice. When he's not sitting around and staring intently at the fire he's off to go get buzzed.

Of course anyone playing with sparklers will have him come up to them with a grumpy look.]

You're holding it too close to your body. Are you asking to be burned?

[Still getting the hang of floating along in the water, Wendy pauses at the sight he makes and the feel of something weird and soft and flappy brushing against one of her legs. There's an amused snort.]

What do you mean 'take them'? I don't think they'll be happy if you try to bring them to your house.

[She's only here because people she cared about wanted to come. Which meant she got a cute purple swimsuit to walk around in the water for a while.

[She didn't actually bring anything to cook, so she's been eyeing the fishing poles. Eventually she takes one and casts it into the sea.

[Sporting her own bikini Venus is enjoying her time in the water. Her long curly pink hair is tied up into a big bun to match the other two heart shaped buns. While she's all about fun in the water, she really isn't trying to get her hair wet--at least for the moment.

[Needless to say, waking up with the knowledge that she was dead had been pretty scary.... But, you know what? If being dead means going to a beautiful beach where there's food, Wendy thinks she's more than okay with it. There's just.... one problem.]

[People are more than welcome to notice what appears to be a young girl wandering around in a pretty dress that's nonetheless that really beach appropriate, standing on the tips of her toes as she clutches some fabric and a BBS phone to her chest. If it looks like she's trying to find someone, well, then you'd be right. She should probably at least introduce herself to her god before running off, right? Is that how this works? Ugh, how annoying!]

B - Post-Ammy, Playful Fish

[For anyone enjoying the swim, they'll suddenly find themselves getting pinched at the thigh from beneath the waves. Looking for the perpetrator will net Wendy, dressed in a Victorian era swimsuit- yes, stripes and onepiece and all that- trying to swim away underwater.]

[Of course, she hasn't quite gotten the hang of it yet, so it's slow going.... Feel free to pay her back.]

[Wandering by the various grills and tables, Wendy tries to peer past various people, giving the occasional hop in hopes that will help.]

[Listen... She can't help but be a little curious about the pretty and colorful drinks that are available. Wendy tries to be subtle as she hangs out nearby, having waited until it became dark in hopes that it'd be harder to notice.]

..Who is asking about wolves, what a strange question. He thought he'd spotted some sort of dog on the beach earlier, maybe it was hers. Obviously it couldn't actually be a wolf, though he hadn't gotten a good look.

Wolves will eat just about anything made out of meat. Fish, fowl, land animals; dogs will too. Are you looking to get one a treat?

[With no job and only a shaky truce keeping him employed as a proper shinki, Sanji has nothing to bring where food is concerned. Which is a damned shame; he takes one look at the closest grill and feels a commanding tug at his ribs, one that leads to him fiddling around, drawing his fingers over the knobs and testing the equipment. By the time he's half-familiar, Sanji has decided he might as well go all in, and grabs at the promised "basics" the shitty Heavens have provided. Nothing too special - just burgers, chicken kabobs, ribs... if it's considered a beach essential, chances are Sanji is cooking up a variation while looking vaguely nervous about the experience.

Where the hell did he get the spices for all of this? Tch, who knows. Maybe that's another superpower.

(ooc: go ahead and assume a food for Sanji to cook, if you like. I'll roll with anything.)]

[Sanji takes it back, Heaven. The criticisms, the continuous side-eying, the subtle plays at mutiny. Sanji's a big boy and can admit when he's wrong. He'd failed to appreciate the finer details is all, and after looking around the pristine beach with its golden sand and clean-blue water, laden with half-dressed women in cute bikinis...

He died for this. What a good death it must have been.]

After Dark

[The sun eventually peels back, shadowing the world in dark purples and reds, and that's right when the fireworks hit the skies. The first Sanji can ever remember seeing. He's quiet during the display with his head tucked back and eyes forward, but eventually wanders for the outskirts of the beach, seeking a place to sit. No alcohol for him (still hasn't forgiven you, Jae-Ha), but he won't say no to company as he rubs his toes in the sands. Even you smelly gents are free to say hello.]

[ Not this guy too. How are all these guys, who are obviously just as enticed by the ladies as he is, getting away with it. Hell, they're even more obvious than he is! So Sanji's gonna get as much of a glare as the rest of them have. ]

[Well, as far as situations to wake up to with no memories whatsoever... a beach party isn't too bad, right?]

[He stares in horror at the itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny, shiny golden swimsuit that a helpful(?) shinki put into his hands, looking around for support. They... that can't have been a serious suggestion, right...?]

[Once he's found a slightly more acceptable swimsuit option, Yuuri's enjoying this whole beach thing a lot more. He's been out for a nice long swim already, and now he's lying stretched out on a patch of rocks by the water's edge, reaching a hand into the clear water and watching in vague fascination as the fish swim right up to nibble at his fingers.]

Are they normally like this? You wouldn't think it would be, well, good for them...

[They're kind of cute, though!]

[Oh. Food.]

[Yuuri's stomach grumbles loudly, as he realizes a) that there's food, and b) it smells amazing. A few minutes later, he can be found near one of the grills, trying to get past someone to add a nice-looking grilled sea snail to his already rather heavy-loaded plate.]

Ah... excuse me. Sorry, I just... I just need to reach past you to, um...

After Dark I

[It's been a long day and he's tired, but the lights in the water are just a little too tempting for him to call it a day just yet. Yuuri's out in the water again, just sort of swimming around without any aim in mind. He likes the way the water feels around him -- the pressure of it, the gentle sweep of the current, the way his body is buoyed up on it, and finds himself sort of experimenting with the resistance of it against his body, trying out some slow, sweeping movements that play a little bit with that drag and resistance.]

[He likes imagining how it might look, to someone watching. The light flickering off of the shifting water, the grace of the motions. There's no real purpose to him, but it's... it's calming.]

After Dark II

[Back on the shore again, Yuuri's mood has turned a little bit melancholy, as he sits off to the far edges of the light the bonfire casts and looks up at the stars.]

[Anyone's would, right? It's been a nice day, with the sea and the sun and decent enough company, but...]

[It's a lonely feeling, not knowing anyone, not even knowing himself. The only thing he knows is that he's dead...]

[He hugs his knees to himself a little, feeling a little cold, and tries to find something else to think about.]

Quietly adjusting his red framed glasses Rei gave Yuuri a critical look up and down before nodding his head in agreement, to what? His own mental calculations of course.]

I don't see why not? Gold is often a symbol of Royalty and I do have to say that the color will work wonders with your skin complexion!

[Kija's experience of beaches is, he admits, limited. For twenty years, the ocean was something from a story; it was a handful of inadequate words, or something barely realized in the background of pictures, a half-glimpsed thing that in no way prepared him for the reality of it - the sound of it, and the smell of it, the strange way the salty water, when it dried, made your skin feel tight.

[Beaches were... well, they were there, really. They were what happened after the land and before the water, an in-between that, seemingly, you had to have before you could have one thing or another. You could... well, you could walk on them. You could pitch a tent, maybe. Go fishing, if you had a rod, or if you were Yoon and could do unfathomable things with sticks and twine. That was about where it ended.

[They were not like this in Kouka.

[You did not, at the very sight of them, go absolutely insane, remove almost every stitch of clothing you owned and never mind if there were ladies present, and then run around shrieking and daring the ocean to do its worst. And any ladies present certainly did not do exactly the same thing!

[Cardia had left St. Germain's mansion that morning with every intention of running away from her problems. Just.... not this far away. Brought to some other world, told that she's some sort of underworld goddess now... it's too much.

And how different is 'underworld goddess' from 'monster' anyway? And... this business about a shinki. Why would they force anyone to work with her? Do they not realize how dangerous that is? Well, she won't get anywhere just worrying. She can meet with him at least. Once he knows... he probably won't want to stay with her anyway. A monster can bring nothing but misfortune. Everyone knows that. A few deep breaths and she starts looking. He arrived at the meeting hall nearly the same time she did, so it doesn't take long.]

[Cardia politely but firmly declined any swimwear. She'd only melt it and she had no intention of swimming anyway. Actually, she's already regretting coming to this party at all. There's so many people. It's... risky.

But she's also never been to the beach before. Unless the waterfront in London counts. It probably doesn't. So... for a little while. She'll just stay for a little while. She's keeping to the edge of the crowd whenever possible. Just taking it all in.]

[What finally draws her closer is the bonfire and the fireworks. Cardia has read about fireworks and seen some small flashbangs in action, but sparklers are new. And... they're pretty. She's hovering nearby them uncertainly. If she asked for one, would that be okay? Or do they belong to someone? After a moment, she decides to just ask someone.]

Excuse me.... do you mind if I ask you something?

[Not even Yuri is immune to the draw of the fire and the pretty fireworks, and she's been debating getting a sparkler herself. Why not, after all? What harm would a little fun do?

She rests her hands on her hips and glances up quickly as she's addressed. There's a pause, Cardia's state of...over-dress catching Yuri a bit by surprise, but she inclines her head in acknowledgement and looks curious]

[Wandering the beach -- very much wandering, without purpose or direction -- is the Sen-Mithrarin. Not that he knows that's his title. Not that he knows what he's doing here. All he knows is that he's dead... and someone said, no, INSISTS that he has to be here, out on the beach, having fun.]

This has to be some kind of joke...

[Every once in a while he lifts his hand and curls the fingers into a fist, convinced that THIS time it will feel different. THIS time it will feel properly like a corpse. This time, it will all somehow feel right.]

[What will make it feel right? Damned if he knows. And so, eyes hidden beneath his hat and tail dragging in the sand, Dust plods down the beach, looking for some sort of answer.]

[He's kind of screwing up the 'have fun' part of this whole thing.]


Crack that Fruit.

[Some brave, poor soul has convinced Dust to try cracking a watermelon -- to which he's agreed only to get said soul off his back and leave him alone after he does it. So the blindfold is on (as far as anyone can tell), he's spun around three times...]

[And the stick in his hand blurs into a whirling circle as he holds it up on his open palm. The sudden suction of the wind it generates yanks the melon off the sand and into the path of the whirling stick. With a dull whock the watermelon splits open, juice and seeds spraying out only to get sucked back into vortex for a second more. Dust lets the stick slap back into his grip properly, leaving rind and pulp and juice and seeds to spatter across the ground nearby.]

[With an amused smirk, Dust tugs the blindfold off his eyes, which remain hidden behind the brim of his hat.] Satisfied?

Seaside.

[Right at the very edge of the breaking waves stands Dust, a sea breeze gentle tugging on his tail, his cloak, and the cloth hanging from the brim of his hat. The pose is damned dramatic, but he isn't doing it on purpose...]

...Nothing. Nothing at all.

He's got his long hair pinned up to keep it off the back of his neck in order to stay cool, and he's wearing a pair of pink sandals to match his swimsuit - even the flower decorations are the same.]

[Forrest may not be as accomplished a chef as some of the members of Corrin's army, but he's certainly no slouch. He's got several varieties of fish lined up, along with a few other ingredients that he's managed to turn into a number of different dishes - surf and turf, fish poached in milk, fish balls, cold sashimi salad, fish spiced with daikon, fried fish, sushi, and grilled fish with several varieties of sweet berry glazes. He's got a fancy little calligraphy menu set up next to where he's working, and appears to be cooking to order.]

[Today was supposed to be a good day, fun in the sun and all that jazz but with the recent disappearance of yet another god that he had served, Rei just wasn't in the most cheerful mode. None the less, he tried to hide those unbeautiful thoughts of inadequacy with a bright cheerful yellow and butterfly decorated speedo and a smear of purple sunblock across his nose.

Unfortunately, he was soaked, because not only had he gotten sprayed by a super-soaker, Jade was kind enough to throw him into the water. Now, his yukata clung to his body, show off every subtle little curve he had. Luckily, the sun was doing a decent job of drying him. ]

Maybe there really is something cursed about him.

First Kuroko vanishes not long after his arrival, and now Arikado-sama is missing. Not just missing, the entire temple is gone. It's just Yurick, Satan, and the shinki's few possessions. Questioning a few people gives him the answer he feared: Xargi is no longer among the Heavens' pantheon. Yurick still has to check beneath his bangs, the sight of blank skin instead of a kanji there solidifying the truth like a punch to the gut.

If not for his remaining name, he'd be reassigned to a stranger. He's no longer nora, but he still feels adrift.

He makes his way to the temple, a bag with his possessions over one shoulder and Satan's leash in his other hand. There's something haunted and aged in the young shinki's face, far more pained than perhaps he should be. Why is this churning in his stomach so badly? It's not like he's alone. Sora is kind and treats him like a friend rather than some burden to be protected.

Or is that why he feels fear curdling in his heart? Is he bracing himself for another person to be whittled out of his life? Will Sora vanish, too?

He walks up to the entrance of the temple and stops there, hesitating. Maybe it would be best if he simply went rogue and took off. Sora has another shinki, losing Yurick would be no big loss.

What should he do?

Eventually Sora drags him to the beach, despite Yurick's protests that he's not feeling very social. But the sweet little god won't be deterred, and before Yurick knows it he's standing on the sand wearing only a tight, unfamiliar swimsuit and odd rubber sandals.

He doesn't feel like playing or seeking people to talk to, though he finds himself drawn to the fishing rods. A bit of watching others use the modern tackle, a little experimenting on his own, and soon enough he's hauling in his own fish. Strange how familiar it feels, like muscle memory rather than actual conscious knowledge. He won't question it, he hates the uneasy feeling he gets when he tries to remember who he once was.

If approached, he'll talk, though he might seem rather distracted at times when his thoughts get too heavy. Mostly though, he seems very lonely.

He's just getting the rest of his stuff in order to head out to the beach party when he feels a slight sting on the back of his neck. Strange, for some reason he feels like it's not coming from Riku Replica. But maybe it is?

He whistles quickly and his dream eater comes bounding to his side as he slides a bag over his shoulder and opens the front door. He had to grab Roxas and the others before-

He looks like a lost puppy. And he's got Satan and everything.

[The beach was a good place to be at the moment, even if Roxas did have an unfortunate run in with an ayakashi a few days earlier here. It hasn't dampened his love for the water at all at least. Which is why he's crouching in the shallows to gently pet and play with the fish that come up to him. This was a lot more entertaining than the aquarium to say the least. Sure, there's no jellyfish, but... those wouldn't be safe to pet anyways.

Roxas wonders where Sora had run off to, though he has the feeling he'll see his energetic boyfriend around here soon enough. And Sora will probably complain about the fact that the blond has opted for a blue tee and black swim trunks. There's not much else he can see himself wearing to be quite honest. Garish colors and weird designs aren't his style. Keep it simple.]

[Ice cream seemed like the best thing to bring to a party like this, and you could buy a ton of bars in packages. Roxas is chilling by the cooler he has brought along filled with the cold treats as he noms away on a light blue popsicle. There's quite a variety of flavors, some conventional like chocolate and vanilla, and some interesting flavors such as prickly pear and dragon fruit. Feel free to grab one or just stop by for a chat.]

[Dana stares out over the water, her mind in a whirl. It's been one revelation after another today: You're dead. You're wearing a hospital gown with no back, in Heaven. You're a servant of an ancient Greek god. Oh -- and there's a party!

She'd remedied the hospital gown problem with a borrowed swimsuit, a black-and-white patterned one-piece with a back made up of so much lacing that she's still not entirely sure she put it on correctly.

There's something soothing about the smell of the sea in the air, the crash of the waves and the sobbing of the gulls overhead. She's wandered down the beach, away from the main hubbub of the party, to watch the cheery sunlight on the water glittering out to the horizon.

Somehow, it feels familiar. It's like family.

She edges out onto the nearby rocky outcropping, and picks up a wave-smoothed pebble lodged in the black lava, flinging it out into the waves. Splash!

She hurls another, a little harder this time, and brings up a little plume of spray slightly further out. And another. There aren't any swimmers out here, anyway. Right?]

[A sad little trail of smoke wafts up from the pile of coals Scully has been trying to light, wavers, and stops. She fans it frantically with one of the little plastic fans someone'd been passing out, but those coals look dead. She stares at the pile, scowls, and picks up her lighter again.]

This isn't that hard. It's just a grill.

[Pep talk? Pep talk. She's got a couple of hamburgers on a floppy paper plate sitting to the side, and she's not going to eat them raw. There is salmonella to think about! She flicks the lighter again, leaning in and holding it to the corner of a coal. They're supposed to be easy-light. They're not lighting easily.

If you're listening very closely, you might hear the shinki swearing under her breath.]

[ To go to a beach party and not get in the water would be silly. And while Hajime is all for being silly, she's in the water splashing around and enjoying herself. Those that had attended her pool party months ago may remember the poka-dotted frilly pink bikini that's she sporting as she swims around. Depending on who is around or catches her eye, there's lots of splashes coming your way.

Anyone that isn't in the water is will feel a hand gently grab onto their forarm as she smiles. Stranger and friends alike.]

[Hajime is working her own magic here. Whatever dish she brought is on a lovely plate and decorated with a bright blue goo-like sauce to it. It seems to be some kind of curry dish, maybe, its hard to tell because blue goo is covering most of it. There's also eatable glitter on it so it really sparkles in the light. S clearly seems pretty proud of it. So much that she takes a fork full of the curry and holds it out to the nearest person's mouth]

[Well. Chrome couldn't say she was entirely unused to waking up in some weird location, but her welcome had been much more cordial than they usually were. She also can't say she entirely understands what the fuck is going on, gods and shinki and what?? Sounds fake.

But at least she knows a couple of her friends (for a given value of 'friends') are here. It's a little concerning Tsuna or Mukuro aren't, but at least there's Chikusa and Hibari. SOmething is better than nothing.

She's not wearing a swimsuit, instead sticking to her typical uniform, and after a fruitless little search of her own, she's finally decided to suck it up and approach people for help.]

Excuse me. Do you know Kakimoto Chikusa, or Hibari Kyouya? [No follow up on why she needs to know this, but she's watching expectantly.]

[During her wandering, Chrome doesn't appear to be paying much attention to her surroundings, nor is she very interested in any of the activities going on around her. Rather, it's more that she doesn't quite get what she supposed to do with them all anyhow.

The supposed lack of attention might put someone on edge--after all, she's wandering near the volleyball nets with her blind side towards it... And of course a ball goes flying at her head while she's looking the other way with her good eye.

But there's no need to fear, she brings her arm up and effortlessly knocks the ball away, sending it spinning into the surf without even looking. When Chrome does look over, it's to examine the ball and then the players or anyone that might have tried to come to her rescue]

...Was that your ball? I'm sorry.

[Later that night she figures she should probably, you know, eat something. There's such a wide variety of tasty filling dishes, fish and meat and whatnot. So of course Chrome goes for... shaved ice.

A large bowl of shaved ice, which she's eating thoughtfully as she watches everyone else. Her stomach growls a little, but she continues to eat the shaved ice and sighs a little, setting her spoon down and frowns at the bowl. While her stomach might be protesting, she feels like she's lost her appetite.

Chikusa and Hibari were shinki, so while they were still here, she still felt terribly alone. After a moment she seeks someone out who looks like they might not have enough food (or any at all) and holds out the bowl.]

Does this swimsuit really fit okay?

[Felicia couldn't quite decide if the swimsuit she had been provided was really appropriate or not. The ruffles at the bottom almost resembled a skirt.... almost. But it was far too form-fitting for her comfort. Quite a bit was exposed...

And, having the fair complexion of someone who was born in the deep north, the odds of getting a sunburn (or worse) were fairly high. Someone, help this poor girl.]

Volleyball

[She had no idea how she had been roped into this. It was mid afternoon, and she was wilting so much it was hard for her to concentrate on the rules of this particular game. The bottom line seemed to be to just get the ball over the net.

It seemed simple enough, too-- until one came careening directly at her face!

Yelping in surprise, Felicia's at of smacking the ball away from her face had actually covered it in a layer of ice. Whomever was on the receiving end of this volley was going to be in for an icy surprise!]
