There were certainly a lot of broken hearts and emotional roller coasters recently, so the Heavens have decided it's time to allow their people to let loose and have some fun for a little while. Through some magic - or possibly just a lot of money - they have managed to rent out an entire private beach for the event so that they won't be interrupted by any Near Shore residents. The beach is beautiful and well-maintained, the ocean goes for as far as the eye can see, and rocky outcroppings offer a handy place to dive into the water on a test of courage.

It's a beautiful summer day, perfect for swimming and cracking watermelons and playing some beach volleyball. There's even some soft music permeating the air so that nothing is every silent on this fun-filled day.

New arrivals, after having been met at the Meeting Hall, would have been immediately redirected to this party. After all, they should be enjoying themselves as well.



Swimwear

Anyone who doesn't have swimwear will be provided with swimwear to fit their needs. Unfortunately, the Heavens don't have access to a lot of swimwear, so you'll likely wind up with something ugly, something old, or something just plain weird.

Playful Fish

The sea critters are excited about the party too. They're happy to swim up to anyone in the water and will even come up to the shallows to take a look at the fun happening on the shore. Toe nibbling and brushes of scales are in your future, so you'd better get used to the idea if you plan on being in the water.

Barbecue

Some basics have been provided, but everyone has been asked to bring a little something to the barbecue as well if they can. So you're more than welcome to grab one of the many grills and start frying things up. Heck, there are even fishing poles available if you feel like hauling in a few of those friendly fish to grill. Additionally, summery drinks have been provided, including iced tea, lemonade, water, and horribly fruity cocktails.

After Dark

Just because the sun is down doesn't mean that the party's stopping! The barbecue will continue well into the night, lit now by the stars and a huge, roaring bonfire. The bonfire is maintained by Amaterasu's shinki and climbs higher than any bonfire has the right to. Also, there are floating lights in the water so that people can continue swimming now that it's dark. And if you happen to get too drunk to go home, don't worry. A white-clad shinki will be happy to put you back to bed at the end of the night. Additionally, some sparklers and small bottle rockets have been provided for your entertainment.

Yay! [ The little girl throws her hands in the air in an enthusiastic cheer. ] I'm glad! Did you make yummy food and see fireworks?

Bentos are really yummy! I like making the food into animal shapes, it makes them even more fun.

Does this mean the fairies will leave you alone now?

Next time you come over I will show you how! My big bro and Kanji showed me how to make cats and bunnies and even an octopus! That one's my favorite, it's really cute.

[ She giggles at this mental image. ] Will they bug him instead?

You can make cats and bunnies? Wait, are you talking about those sausage octopus things?

[He thinks it over before shaking his head.] No, but they'd probably still play with him.

Yes! They taste really yummy. And you can make bunnies and cats and other things out of onigiri.

Well, if he likes them, that's okay, right?

I haven't really made that many onigiri. They have that weird sour thing in them.

[Umeboshi is awful.]

He just can't bring them home.

Not always! You don't have to put anything in the middle. Or it can be fish instead?

[ She might have a lot of practice making her own lunches, and she's watched and helped Souji a time or two as well. ]

Where do they live?

I can put fish in the ones for Sora and the others. I'll find something else for mine.

[He hasn't seen Killer in months, but he's still squeamish about meat.]

No idea. Around the Far Shore, I guess. I've only seen them walking around.

You can use lots of things. We can find something you like better instead.

[ She tilts her head, curious. ]

Do they come try and cheer up everyone who is sad?

I'm a vegetarian, so there's a lot we can pick. Except peppers.

[He hates those things.]

That's what they're doing today. The other time I saw them they were cheering people on that were working on fixing things in the Near Shore.

You don't like peppers?

[ You are a surprisingly picky eater, Roxas.

She giggles at that. ] Maybe that's just how they best know how to help?

Peppers taste weird. Like, really weird.

[HE SURE IS]

They scared enough people that some of them got hurt by the fairies showing up out of nowhere.

[ Her mouth drops open at that. ]

But they didn't look very scary.

They're not. They just surprised and scared people because they came out of nowhere.

[ She pauses to think about that for a minute. ]

I guess that could be scary. But they're so cute. I don't think I'd mind being surprised by them that much.

I think they'd swarm you if you were sad.

[Even thinking about Nanako being sad sends a slight wave of panic through Roxas.]

But then it'd make me giggle and I wouldn't be sad anymore, right?
