There were certainly a lot of broken hearts and emotional roller coasters recently, so the Heavens have decided it's time to allow their people to let loose and have some fun for a little while. Through some magic - or possibly just a lot of money - they have managed to rent out an entire private beach for the event so that they won't be interrupted by any Near Shore residents. The beach is beautiful and well-maintained, the ocean goes for as far as the eye can see, and rocky outcroppings offer a handy place to dive into the water on a test of courage.

It's a beautiful summer day, perfect for swimming and cracking watermelons and playing some beach volleyball. There's even some soft music permeating the air so that nothing is every silent on this fun-filled day.

New arrivals, after having been met at the Meeting Hall, would have been immediately redirected to this party. After all, they should be enjoying themselves as well.



Swimwear

Anyone who doesn't have swimwear will be provided with swimwear to fit their needs. Unfortunately, the Heavens don't have access to a lot of swimwear, so you'll likely wind up with something ugly, something old, or something just plain weird.

Playful Fish

The sea critters are excited about the party too. They're happy to swim up to anyone in the water and will even come up to the shallows to take a look at the fun happening on the shore. Toe nibbling and brushes of scales are in your future, so you'd better get used to the idea if you plan on being in the water.

Barbecue

Some basics have been provided, but everyone has been asked to bring a little something to the barbecue as well if they can. So you're more than welcome to grab one of the many grills and start frying things up. Heck, there are even fishing poles available if you feel like hauling in a few of those friendly fish to grill. Additionally, summery drinks have been provided, including iced tea, lemonade, water, and horribly fruity cocktails.

After Dark

Just because the sun is down doesn't mean that the party's stopping! The barbecue will continue well into the night, lit now by the stars and a huge, roaring bonfire. The bonfire is maintained by Amaterasu's shinki and climbs higher than any bonfire has the right to. Also, there are floating lights in the water so that people can continue swimming now that it's dark. And if you happen to get too drunk to go home, don't worry. A white-clad shinki will be happy to put you back to bed at the end of the night. Additionally, some sparklers and small bottle rockets have been provided for your entertainment.

[What WOULD be best? No chicken, he remembered vaguely something about that being bad. Or the bones. It wasn't particularly his concern but giving out bad advice would inevitably lead back to him if it went poorly for the dog.]

As far as I recall no thumbs don't usually stop them from helping themselves.

A big meaty bone might be good. Something from the people cooking beef.

[Amaterasu (dog ver.) has been ogling pretty ladies and stealing food, and Wendy has caught sight of both of those since she’s met her.]

It’s just something I’m trying to stop… But, beef, huh?

[Tapping her feet thoughtfully, Wendy nods. That sounds about right. Maybe it’s like chewing gum or tobacco- something about the motion of gnawing and taking up the flavor will keep her from snatching up other food.]

I’ll give it a try, thanks. Oh- [She holds out her hand.] I’m Wendy.

[Dogs ogling ladies. That'd be another notch on the strange level Xehanort has been running all day. Stealing food however is completely normal and expected.]

Good luck. I'm not sure anything but good training and consistency will stop them once they figure out they can just take whatever they want.

[But it's worth a try. At least in a gathering like this there was plenty of stuff directly on the ground to be hoovered by a waiting dog.

No, I only ‘woke up’... a couple of hours ago, I think it is now.

[And it’s been a trip of a couple of hours, trust her. Wendy has surrendered to the fact that everything is suddenly really strange, and that the alternative is having a quiet meltdown in a public place.]

[That’s not going to happen.]

[So just… going to soldier on. Her handshake is quite firm, at least.]

[It's much better to have a quiet meltdown in a private place, Xehanort has one of those scheduled after he runs out of tolerance for socializing.]

If I may ask, what were you told when you woke up? I assume you had someone attending to you.

[It’s the first time someone has asked her about that in particular, and Wendy thinks carefully on it as she browses through the various plates and grills set out, searching out beef.]

Well… I asked what had happened, and the person who escorted me here said that I was a shinki, a… heavenly vessel, or something, and that everything would be clear when I met my god. Oh- and they gave me a weird little hunk of plastic, too.

[Xehanort points towards the barbecued beef ribs and what looks awfully like steaks. Delicious meat! He really should eat some himself. A nice small steak with a good crust would be perfect.]

... Plastic?

[He didn't get any plastic. Well nothing at all really, and though he was vaguely certain on what plastic is, the rest.. mystery.]

Maybe that's how shinki are supposed to aid their god.

[He has no idea and it shows in his tone. It's a guess.]

Maybe. Who knows. They weren’t exactly the most helpful, but- maybe there’s, um…. A class for this kind of thing?

[She’s going to be really annoyed when she realizes that this isn’t the case at all, but also, frankly? Not surprised. Carefully trying to get a big steak on a plate, she glances back to him.]

If you’re a god, maybe you can figure it out more than me. I put it away with some of my things, so I can just go back to show you if you want.

One would hope so if this is a regular occurrence. It'd save everyone a lot of confusion and probably frustration.

[If the old crew had to constantly answer the questions of the new, instead of something pre-arranged to handle that, it would surely get irritating fast. How many times can someone be asked the same question befor they don't want to answer it anymore?]

If it has instructions, I can figure anything out.

[That is a very important caveat, but he's willing to give it a try either way. A big meaty steak should be just fine for her dog. Probably ther should be something against giving dogs human food but... well.]
