There were certainly a lot of broken hearts and emotional roller coasters recently, so the Heavens have decided it's time to allow their people to let loose and have some fun for a little while. Through some magic - or possibly just a lot of money - they have managed to rent out an entire private beach for the event so that they won't be interrupted by any Near Shore residents. The beach is beautiful and well-maintained, the ocean goes for as far as the eye can see, and rocky outcroppings offer a handy place to dive into the water on a test of courage.

It's a beautiful summer day, perfect for swimming and cracking watermelons and playing some beach volleyball. There's even some soft music permeating the air so that nothing is every silent on this fun-filled day.

New arrivals, after having been met at the Meeting Hall, would have been immediately redirected to this party. After all, they should be enjoying themselves as well.



Swimwear

Anyone who doesn't have swimwear will be provided with swimwear to fit their needs. Unfortunately, the Heavens don't have access to a lot of swimwear, so you'll likely wind up with something ugly, something old, or something just plain weird.

Playful Fish

The sea critters are excited about the party too. They're happy to swim up to anyone in the water and will even come up to the shallows to take a look at the fun happening on the shore. Toe nibbling and brushes of scales are in your future, so you'd better get used to the idea if you plan on being in the water.

Barbecue

Some basics have been provided, but everyone has been asked to bring a little something to the barbecue as well if they can. So you're more than welcome to grab one of the many grills and start frying things up. Heck, there are even fishing poles available if you feel like hauling in a few of those friendly fish to grill. Additionally, summery drinks have been provided, including iced tea, lemonade, water, and horribly fruity cocktails.

After Dark

Just because the sun is down doesn't mean that the party's stopping! The barbecue will continue well into the night, lit now by the stars and a huge, roaring bonfire. The bonfire is maintained by Amaterasu's shinki and climbs higher than any bonfire has the right to. Also, there are floating lights in the water so that people can continue swimming now that it's dark. And if you happen to get too drunk to go home, don't worry. A white-clad shinki will be happy to put you back to bed at the end of the night. Additionally, some sparklers and small bottle rockets have been provided for your entertainment.

Oh our Gods. What the eff. Barbecue.

[Kaya is starting to feel hungry as she's passing by the barbecue area. She's having reservations about asking for food since it might be for someone else, but she still walks around since she likes the atmosphere of camaraderie between the little groups. Crowds are great.

She can't help but stop and stare at Sanji's grill, though. The amount of food, even if it's just the basics he has found, is just impressive to her.]

Wow! That's a lot of red meat!

[concasse]

[Unlike his reaction to a certain green-haired asshole, Sanji's expression toward the young lady is quite warm - he grins and moves aside, allowing her a better look, and follows up with an overdone bow]

All for you, if that's what the lady wishes~!

[Well. Young lady. Maybe. If she's a shinki, he might as well shoot a dart at a number and call it her age.]

[And that's the exact moment her stomach decides to growl softly. She freezes, too embarrassed to finish the sentence.]

[Oh no.

She's precious.

Sanji loves her immediately.]

You sure? Truth is I doubt I could eat it by myself. [He cants his head with a wide grin] Besides, I need a taste-tester, Miss~!

Is that so? I imagined tall men needed a lot more food.

Okay, then just a little to help you out! I'll do my best!

[concasse]

Aaaaah, and so a true hero has descended upon me~!

[Flatterer. Or, well, he tries his best.]

Now, what would you like to try first?

[She glances at all the food. Only the chicken meat on a stick feels remotely familiar. The ribs seem fancy. The buns look completely alien to her, not even understanding what bread is.

Should she go with the comfortable or with the exotic?

Ah, it's a day for adventures so it's only right to try out new things!]

I'll go with this. [She points at the burger.] What is it?

[concasse]

[There's a pause that allows for some mild surprise on Sanji's end. Really, he should know better than to be shocked when he can't remember anything past two weeks ago, but he figured there had to be some innate pool of knowledge that included burgers.]

It's a burger, Miss! [And then, just in case she's not familiar with the key ingredients:] Here's beef, tomato, lettuce... ketchup and mustard if you want - oh, and the buns of course!

Burger. Burger, burger, burger... [She tries to memorize it.] I do know beef and lettuce. I'm not sure about the others. So the red round slices are tomato, the buns are the dough surrounding the meat, and... [She opens the lids of the ketchup and mustard containers and looks inside.] These are sauces, right?

[concasse]

Yeah, exactly right~! The mustard -- [he points to the yellow bottle] -- it's a bit on the spicier side. [Is that the right word for it? Well, that'll have to do.] But ketchup tends to be sweeter. More sugar in it.

Don't worry about trying anything you're not comfortable with, Miss~! That's the nice thing about a shitty burger; you can put whatever you want on the damned thing.
