There were certainly a lot of broken hearts and emotional roller coasters recently, so the Heavens have decided it's time to allow their people to let loose and have some fun for a little while. Through some magic - or possibly just a lot of money - they have managed to rent out an entire private beach for the event so that they won't be interrupted by any Near Shore residents. The beach is beautiful and well-maintained, the ocean goes for as far as the eye can see, and rocky outcroppings offer a handy place to dive into the water on a test of courage.

It's a beautiful summer day, perfect for swimming and cracking watermelons and playing some beach volleyball. There's even some soft music permeating the air so that nothing is every silent on this fun-filled day.

New arrivals, after having been met at the Meeting Hall, would have been immediately redirected to this party. After all, they should be enjoying themselves as well.



Swimwear

Anyone who doesn't have swimwear will be provided with swimwear to fit their needs. Unfortunately, the Heavens don't have access to a lot of swimwear, so you'll likely wind up with something ugly, something old, or something just plain weird.

Playful Fish

The sea critters are excited about the party too. They're happy to swim up to anyone in the water and will even come up to the shallows to take a look at the fun happening on the shore. Toe nibbling and brushes of scales are in your future, so you'd better get used to the idea if you plan on being in the water.

Barbecue

Some basics have been provided, but everyone has been asked to bring a little something to the barbecue as well if they can. So you're more than welcome to grab one of the many grills and start frying things up. Heck, there are even fishing poles available if you feel like hauling in a few of those friendly fish to grill. Additionally, summery drinks have been provided, including iced tea, lemonade, water, and horribly fruity cocktails.

After Dark

Just because the sun is down doesn't mean that the party's stopping! The barbecue will continue well into the night, lit now by the stars and a huge, roaring bonfire. The bonfire is maintained by Amaterasu's shinki and climbs higher than any bonfire has the right to. Also, there are floating lights in the water so that people can continue swimming now that it's dark. And if you happen to get too drunk to go home, don't worry. A white-clad shinki will be happy to put you back to bed at the end of the night. Additionally, some sparklers and small bottle rockets have been provided for your entertainment.

In all their sandy, filthy glory. There is no getting a clean, un-coated wing out of that mess.

Xehanort simply watches what seems to him to be an epic example of lack of thinking.]

[Or, an even MORE epic example of eating. Because Zangetsu has managed to put every single one of those sandy but delicious chicken wings in his mouth. At once. He looks like a horrific chipmunk]

You know, if you had just.. asked ... you wouldn't be eating as much sand as wing. Sand can't be that fun to eat.

[It's just a mild observation, though he isn't as bland as he seems on the outside. He's certain at some point there's going to be a second lunge, that thing may well eat people as well!!]

If I had asked, ya probably wouldn't have given it to me. Humans get possessive of their food.

I certainly wouldn't have given you all of it, since there isn't any more to be found that isn't covered in sugar. But part.

[Which was better than none, and he wasn't too pleased at losing the entirety of his dinner. Now there were no chicken wings at all to be found and he was going to have to make do with some oversweetened marinade.]

Mmm... part wouldn't have been enough. I'm starvin', and they cut me off a while ago! ... what's wrong with the sweet? Sweet is good. Raw is better, but sweet is good.

I'm not going to go hungry simply because you're greedy.

... I don't like sweet. Salty is better. Salty with a crunch is better yet.

[Well he doesn't look human so maybe he just has a nonhuman disgestion. That huge glaring hole in his chest really suggested there was something different going on..]

Mmmmmm.... [Zangetsu licks his lips with his long blue tongue, thinking about all the delicious possibilities] I want it aaaalll!

...Isn't there something you can eat that's more satisfying then? There's only so much of this to go around.

[Maybe Zangetsu was just a straight up monster, and that's why they attacked all the time. Hungry. Constantly hungry.

Then again this one could just be wildly exaggerating to try to get more stuff.]

Well... there is. But I'm not allowed to eat that.

[he'll just keep that vague. He's not really supposed to talk about it, either]

Ah! Speakin' of that, though.. why're there two of you?

[Dangle not knowledge before him then fail to deliver! He needs to know things! Everything! Even if they come from such dubious sources as this fellow.

Whom might be some sort of lizard-man, he supposed. A white one with a hole in his--]

[It takes him a moment of scrambling to try to even guess what Zangetsu means, but after a moment of thought he reaches a conclusion. There was a boy who thought he was someone else briefly,a nd those bits of mistaken identity--]

Oh. No there aren't two of me but there seems to be someone else around here who does look like me.

[Oh good, he doesn't have to tell his secret. He can focus on the other thing instead.

Zangetsu tilts his head]

No. That ain't what I mean. Your... hrrrmmm... [it's so hard to explain. Like trying to explain "blue" to a blind person.] Your essence, your soul. It's two. But not. It's more like... it's one, but there's two very distinct parts. Almost like two whole souls. Almost.

[Secrets have a way of not staying that way forever. He may want to find out sometime, simply for curiosity's sake..

But right now is a whole lot of distraction, and what Xehanort knows of how a person works - heart, soul, mind - there was no room for two souls. Or one soul with multiple pieces. That went for the other two parts of a person as well.

And more importantly, 'speaking of that' and souls, in the context of eating..]

Well. I don't know anything about that, as far as I know my soul is precisely the way it's supposed to be. That's interesting to know though.

[And he's going to have to verify it somehow.]

Well, I can tell you-- it's not normal from here. But hey, if you're gettin' along just fine, then no skin off my nose. Hehehe! You do you and all that.

[Too many tells in his speech. The lack of an answer draws a slight narrowing of the eyes but little else. It is a mystery but not one he sees as likely to be able to unravel any time soon.]

... I intend to. Though now I also have to find something else to do for dinner..
