There were certainly a lot of broken hearts and emotional roller coasters recently, so the Heavens have decided it's time to allow their people to let loose and have some fun for a little while. Through some magic - or possibly just a lot of money - they have managed to rent out an entire private beach for the event so that they won't be interrupted by any Near Shore residents. The beach is beautiful and well-maintained, the ocean goes for as far as the eye can see, and rocky outcroppings offer a handy place to dive into the water on a test of courage.

It's a beautiful summer day, perfect for swimming and cracking watermelons and playing some beach volleyball. There's even some soft music permeating the air so that nothing is every silent on this fun-filled day.

New arrivals, after having been met at the Meeting Hall, would have been immediately redirected to this party. After all, they should be enjoying themselves as well.



Swimwear

Anyone who doesn't have swimwear will be provided with swimwear to fit their needs. Unfortunately, the Heavens don't have access to a lot of swimwear, so you'll likely wind up with something ugly, something old, or something just plain weird.

Playful Fish

The sea critters are excited about the party too. They're happy to swim up to anyone in the water and will even come up to the shallows to take a look at the fun happening on the shore. Toe nibbling and brushes of scales are in your future, so you'd better get used to the idea if you plan on being in the water.

Barbecue

Some basics have been provided, but everyone has been asked to bring a little something to the barbecue as well if they can. So you're more than welcome to grab one of the many grills and start frying things up. Heck, there are even fishing poles available if you feel like hauling in a few of those friendly fish to grill. Additionally, summery drinks have been provided, including iced tea, lemonade, water, and horribly fruity cocktails.

After Dark

Just because the sun is down doesn't mean that the party's stopping! The barbecue will continue well into the night, lit now by the stars and a huge, roaring bonfire. The bonfire is maintained by Amaterasu's shinki and climbs higher than any bonfire has the right to. Also, there are floating lights in the water so that people can continue swimming now that it's dark. And if you happen to get too drunk to go home, don't worry. A white-clad shinki will be happy to put you back to bed at the end of the night. Additionally, some sparklers and small bottle rockets have been provided for your entertainment.

[There's hardly a point in finishing his sentence, the trail-off punctuated by Nami easily sipping down her drink like it's water. Again, this seems like a bad idea from all angles, but...]

-- Alright, but on one condition.

[Spoken with a frankness that's not often used on women:] If you start feeling ready to pass out, lemme at least escort you home.

[Nami has to pause her drink there. Not because she harbors any uncertainty about Sanji. Because if it were a man she actually didn't know she'd be answering this very differently, and that recognition is another spike of grief that makes the drink hot and bitter in her mouth.

But she knows that voice is Sanji in a rare moment of seriousness. So she flashes a self-assured grin at him.]

Sure, sure! If I should become incapacitated, my care is in your hands. I promise.

[It won't happen, though.]

[concasse]

[This is probably the best he can hope for, then. The lady relents, and forcing himself to be satisfied with that much, Sanji lunges out of his serious expression and straight into a mess of hearts and yelling]

Then lets get you another drink, m'lady~!

[So begins the alcohol parade. He's a man to hold up his deal of the bargain (when it suits him, anyway), and by the time the woman finishes off her glass, Sanji is there to present another one. And another. And one more for good measure.

Why are they all fruit-based? Well, he thinks it suits her. And he can't seem to stop picking drinks that compliment her hair]

[That's more like the Sanji she needs to see. She sets to work downing the rest of her current drink while he goes for another. It isn't about enjoying the drink or satiating thirst. It's about consuming alcohol as quickly as she can manage.

So down goes the second drink like the first. Then the third. Then the fourth. Then the fifth. And as she finishes that one she lets out a happy gasp for air.]

Ahhh~! Now we're starting to get somewhere... All right! Keep 'em coming!

[concasse]

[She's still going. How the hell is she still going? At a certain point Sanji realizes she's consumed nearly as much alcohol as he did when he'd gone out for drinks with Jae-Ha, except at that point he'd been a sloppy mess only barely capable of walking.

By comparison? The girl looks like she could do a cartwheel, no problem.]

Aaaaaahn, such endurance~! [With that infectious enthusiasm, Sanji finds his worry slowly traded for awe] Miss, just what is your tolerance?

[hold that answer, he's gonna whisk himself away to fetch another round of drinks, this time five of them arranged on a tray.

... And y'know what? One for him, too. He might as well join in on the fun.]

[Nami doubts Sanji will ever find out what her tolerance truly is, if for no other reason than she isn't so foolish as to drink until she shows it.

The next five drinks go down without a hitch. Another five, and she's finally starting to feel a bit more relaxed. She's still drinking but down to the kind of drinking you'd expect with something alcoholic rather than the chugging contest pace of before. Which means she's maybe ready to actually talk.]

All right! Three cheers for all the drinks! This is what I call a party!

[She's loud...]

Three cheers for the lady who can outdrink everyone here~! ♥

[If Nami's loud, Sanji's an absolute behemoth about this, hollering from the base of his lungs and dancing in place. The two of them draw a few bemused stares but, y'know. Pirates.

Not that one of them is aware of this fact.]

Aaaaah, how the gods have graced me with such beautiful company today...! [He'd cry into his drink if he weren't so busy staring at Nami with a giddy smile.]
