There were certainly a lot of broken hearts and emotional roller coasters recently, so the Heavens have decided it's time to allow their people to let loose and have some fun for a little while. Through some magic - or possibly just a lot of money - they have managed to rent out an entire private beach for the event so that they won't be interrupted by any Near Shore residents. The beach is beautiful and well-maintained, the ocean goes for as far as the eye can see, and rocky outcroppings offer a handy place to dive into the water on a test of courage.

It's a beautiful summer day, perfect for swimming and cracking watermelons and playing some beach volleyball. There's even some soft music permeating the air so that nothing is every silent on this fun-filled day.

New arrivals, after having been met at the Meeting Hall, would have been immediately redirected to this party. After all, they should be enjoying themselves as well.



Swimwear

Anyone who doesn't have swimwear will be provided with swimwear to fit their needs. Unfortunately, the Heavens don't have access to a lot of swimwear, so you'll likely wind up with something ugly, something old, or something just plain weird.

Playful Fish

The sea critters are excited about the party too. They're happy to swim up to anyone in the water and will even come up to the shallows to take a look at the fun happening on the shore. Toe nibbling and brushes of scales are in your future, so you'd better get used to the idea if you plan on being in the water.

Barbecue

Some basics have been provided, but everyone has been asked to bring a little something to the barbecue as well if they can. So you're more than welcome to grab one of the many grills and start frying things up. Heck, there are even fishing poles available if you feel like hauling in a few of those friendly fish to grill. Additionally, summery drinks have been provided, including iced tea, lemonade, water, and horribly fruity cocktails.

After Dark

Just because the sun is down doesn't mean that the party's stopping! The barbecue will continue well into the night, lit now by the stars and a huge, roaring bonfire. The bonfire is maintained by Amaterasu's shinki and climbs higher than any bonfire has the right to. Also, there are floating lights in the water so that people can continue swimming now that it's dark. And if you happen to get too drunk to go home, don't worry. A white-clad shinki will be happy to put you back to bed at the end of the night. Additionally, some sparklers and small bottle rockets have been provided for your entertainment.

[He'll stop teasing now, he doesn't want Roxas to explode. But it sure is nice to hear Roxas say cute things to him like he's proud of Sora and likes to hug him. Making up so quickly is nice.]

[At least kissing hasn't made him blush like it has Sora.]

Yes, but you're cute, so it doesn't look ridiculous.

[Street cred is in jeopardy. Roxas likes it, too. Sora is happy again.]

[This is true, Sora still gets flustered sometimes. Roxas is just really attractive close up, okay?]

You don't look ridiculous either, dummy.

[thug life more like ugh life Sora laughs and then starts drawing patterns in the sand.]

[Don't say attractive to his face, he's already gone over it with Zoro once. There's criteria.]

You don't get teased about blushing.

[wow so rude Roxas looks down and watches Sora.] What are you drawing?

[Sora thinks so, though. He might not say it out loud right away, but he thinks Roxas is. Sora's got a dumb baby face in comparison.]

Ahhh, it's just cause it's rare to see you do it.

[He's still smiling. He's tracing little swirls and stars.] How the stars used to look when travelling between worlds.

[Say that and Roxas will argue as to why it's not a baby face. It's a perfectly good face.]

Rare? Really? My face feels like it's always red with you.

[He nods, picking his own patch of sand. There he draws the faces of people important to him.] I like stars. I kinda miss the gummy ship.

[Someday Sora will grow into his looks. Someday.]

That's because you like me best?

[He grins playfully, yes he's being cheeky about that now. He watches Roxas start drawing too and mimics him, adding a strange ugly drawing of a Donald and Goofy. He's no artist, that's for sure.] Me too. I miss a lot of people back home too. I wonder how everyone's doing.

[Nope. Cute face forever.]

Oh? Did you decide that?

[Roxas can play games too, you know.

He hesitates with answering, drawing Aki in the sand.]

They're fine. But I know that some of the friends I've made... Well, they're dead. Not like shinki, but some of them came to Koriko to wish for something to happen they couldn't do while they were alive. Aki was one of those. I'm glad I met her, but I can't visit her like I want to one day.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora makes a face.]

Well it's true, isn't it?

[He better like Sora the best!!! He'll start pouting.

That dissolves a bit when Roxas brings up his friends.]

I'm sorry Roxas... I know you miss her a lot.

[missingache]

[There's an intentional delay in answering as Roxas looks like he's thinking hard about this. He nods with a smile.]

Yep. It's true.

[That pout is cute to him, okay?

His smile gets sad, but he nods.]

She was one of my first friends. I miss her as much as I missed Axel. [He squeaks softly.] She and Axel would have gotten along really well... she's good with guys like him. She sent a sack of potatoes to a guy who was a lot like Xigbar because of his accent.

[oathkeeper]

[Each intentional second that ticks by with Roxas pretending he's thinking has Sora pouting more and more. He nearly reaches out to squeeze Roxas' leg in retaliation. He lets out a held breath when he's finally answered. Geeze, that was heart wrenching.

Sora draws a big heart in the sand around all the faces they've made. He laughs softly at the description. He likes it when Roxas tells happy stories about his friends.]

Why a sack of potatoes?

[As if Sora expected any other answer. Roxas kisses Sora's cheek as an apology. He loves you, you giant dork.

That heart was a nice touch.]

She said something about Irish people liking potatoes and that he was pretending to be one. He wasn't who he said he was, and she wanted to let him know that she knew. He was a bad guy. He and a guard named Rose got into a huge fight and destroyed a part of the market place.

[He accepts the kiss as adequate payment for the mild heart attack.

And just wait, he starts drawing in a R + S in there ... ]

Sounds like a big jerk. So it was a joke gift to teach him a lesson? He shouldn't have lied and caused so much trouble.

[R+S... Even if it makes Roxas' heart flutter, he is so, so glad this is on sand. It would be washed away before anyone else can see it and he dies of being both happy and embarrassed. Being washed away was also a little sad at the same time. All those faces... if he had his phone on him, Roxas would take a picture.]

There was a lot of bad guys there. He just made the wrong people mad.

[Sora continues his little pictures, adding it what looks to be like Kairi too and starts to draw a crude picture of Riku's head.]

Bad guys... As if. You know, I don't really miss having so many bad guys around these days.

[Sora tilts his head, still looking down at the sand.]

[missingache]

[His hand smashes Riku's drawn face, Roxas sitting there for a moment. He slowly withdraws his hand.]

Sorry.

[But not really.]

I don't want to be reminded of that guy right now. This is supposed to be a good day.

[oathkeeper]

[It happens so fast Sora barely blinks. Goodbye Riku face!!!]

Whoa.

[He looks up at Roxas and pouts slightly but nods. Still too fresh of a topic, is it? Sora's still got a lot of work to do, he realizes.]

Okay. It is a good day though! We're actually gonna stay out late, right!

[Barbeque!!!! Wait-]

What are you gonna eat later?

[Until Roxas gives Riku a piece of his mind and he stops being a jerk to Sora, then yes, it's still a no go topic.]

I was gonna go home after the bonfire.

[He shrugs.]

I'm sure I can find something. I gotta run back home anyways since I forgot what I was gonna bring.

[A cooler full of ice cream.]

After the bonfire? Okay, we'll go home after that.

[He'll take that, at least they're not leaving early like they have in the past.]

Maybe there's veggie kebabs too! Do you like roasted veggies?

Right. [He pokes Sora's cheek.] You know you don't have to stick around with me when I leave things early. I don't mind being alone for a while.

[Last time was a good thing that they left early. A really good thing.]

........ I make roasted veggies. Of course I eat them.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora shakes his head and pokes Roxas' cheek right back.] I like leaving with you. It would feel weird if I didn't.

[He thinks back, almost all the big parties and events they left together.]

Bleh. You can have them all then if they have them here.

You sure?

[Sometimes he feels like a killjoy.

Roxas sighs.]

You told me a while ago that you'd try and eat more veggies, and you're still not trying.

[oathkeeper]

I'm sure. Really.

[Sora would very much disagree with that. His favorite times are with Roxas, so that's always a good choice for him.

But then he makes a face.]
