There were certainly a lot of broken hearts and emotional roller coasters recently, so the Heavens have decided it's time to allow their people to let loose and have some fun for a little while. Through some magic - or possibly just a lot of money - they have managed to rent out an entire private beach for the event so that they won't be interrupted by any Near Shore residents. The beach is beautiful and well-maintained, the ocean goes for as far as the eye can see, and rocky outcroppings offer a handy place to dive into the water on a test of courage.

It's a beautiful summer day, perfect for swimming and cracking watermelons and playing some beach volleyball. There's even some soft music permeating the air so that nothing is every silent on this fun-filled day.

New arrivals, after having been met at the Meeting Hall, would have been immediately redirected to this party. After all, they should be enjoying themselves as well.



Swimwear

Anyone who doesn't have swimwear will be provided with swimwear to fit their needs. Unfortunately, the Heavens don't have access to a lot of swimwear, so you'll likely wind up with something ugly, something old, or something just plain weird.

Playful Fish

The sea critters are excited about the party too. They're happy to swim up to anyone in the water and will even come up to the shallows to take a look at the fun happening on the shore. Toe nibbling and brushes of scales are in your future, so you'd better get used to the idea if you plan on being in the water.

Barbecue

Some basics have been provided, but everyone has been asked to bring a little something to the barbecue as well if they can. So you're more than welcome to grab one of the many grills and start frying things up. Heck, there are even fishing poles available if you feel like hauling in a few of those friendly fish to grill. Additionally, summery drinks have been provided, including iced tea, lemonade, water, and horribly fruity cocktails.

After Dark

Just because the sun is down doesn't mean that the party's stopping! The barbecue will continue well into the night, lit now by the stars and a huge, roaring bonfire. The bonfire is maintained by Amaterasu's shinki and climbs higher than any bonfire has the right to. Also, there are floating lights in the water so that people can continue swimming now that it's dark. And if you happen to get too drunk to go home, don't worry. A white-clad shinki will be happy to put you back to bed at the end of the night. Additionally, some sparklers and small bottle rockets have been provided for your entertainment.

Roxas watches the fish scatter once more when Sora moves. Just like before they come right back.]

There was fish like this at the aquarium, right?

You're a moon goddess, doesn't mean you can't get a little bit of a tan.

[Sora grins playfully, knowing he's gonna get in trouble for that comment.

The little sea creatures start swirling around Sora's legs too and he feels them tickle at his toes. He laughs.]

Yeah! The bright colorful ones... I wonder if any dolphins will get close to the beach today.

[....... Really?]

As a moon goddess, why would I need a tan? I'm supposed to be awake all night anyways, Mr. God of Light. You can just tan for the both of us.

[Roxas will just get a farmers tan again and be annoyed. Just like in Koriko.

He looks out over the water and nods.]

You'll have to swim out a bit.

[Sora starts laughing, affectionate amusement in his eyes. Yep, he knew that was coming. He's just teasing you, Roxas. He likes when you make ruffled faces like that sometimes. It's kind of weird backwards flirting.]

I probably could tan for the both of us, I don't think I've ever gotten a sunburn in my entire life.

[He's bred for this kind of exposure.

He wades into the water further, the little fishes and creatures swishing all around. He laughs again and reaches into the water to actually manage to pet one of them. Cute!!]

[Roxas fails at flirting. Fails very much so. At least when he's actively trying to.]

Lucky. Though I think the climate was just a little different from this place. It doesn't feel as hot as Koriko did this time of year. Not as humid. [Humidity sucks.] Ugh... I didn't even wear a shirt at work most of the time...

[Having sweat soaked clothes made everything worse.

He watches Sora for a moment before quietly getting up. This was too good of an opportunity.... And now he's going to just push Sora over.]

[Sora gets a bit of a homesick feeling.]

Ahh... nothing was like summers on Destiny Islands th-

[EXCUSE?! Sora yelps loudly and goes crashing into the water with a comical sploosh, head over heels.

He just... stays under the water for longer than expected before he plops his head out and splashes Roxas as much as he can.]

Hey!!!

[Roxas shields himself from the water and just gives Sora a flat look.]

That's for pushing me in the water two months ago.

[Then comes a smile as he holds his hand out.]

You okay?

Two months ago! Roxas!

[TWO MONTHS. Sora barely remembers. He looks at that hand and debates if he should pull Roxas in too... But then he takes it and pulls himself up and just hugs Roxas. Have a wet Sora latched on.]

Yep.

[Your boyfriend has a mind like a steel trap. Well, when it comes to Sora at least, and people Roxas is very attached to. Mostly Sora.

He lets out a gasp, shivering.]

S-Sora! You're getting my shirt wet!

[oathkeeper]

[Sora laughs brightly and grins like goof.]

It's just a bit of water! We're at a beach party after all!

[Yeah, he's not letting go. Squeeze.]

[Roxas lets out a sigh.]

I was trying to keep it fry for later tonight when it'd get cold.

[It's with a grumble he returns the hug.]

When I let go you better let go so I can take my shirt off. Got it?

That's what the bonfires will be for.

[He can't help chuckling and nods obediently.]

Got it.

[And he'll let go.]

[Bonfires have too many people. He was going to walk around.

That subject won't be broached as that shirt comes off, is balled up, and tossed back onto the beach. Now it's time for pulling Sora against him for a kiss.]

Happy now?

[oathkeeper]

[Sora grins wider as Roxas pulls off his shirt. That's better. This is a dang beach party!

When he gets pulled in Sora blushes warmly and kisses him back. It's weird how Roxas can still make Sora feel like he's got this fussy crush on him.]

Yeah. It's more comfortable, right?

[The little fishes start gathering around them, a colorful swirl of nibbling friends.]

[Probably because skin to skin contact like this is a lot more intimate when you're in a couple. There's fluttering in his own stomach right now because of it. But Roxas can't deny that it does feel better to not have a shirt on.]

It's weirdly warmer.

[He looks down, watching the fish.] They seem happy.

[oathkeeper]

[Is that what it is? Sora feels fluttery all over like he's just noticed how much he likes Roxas all over again. He keeps his arms around Roxas' neck and peeks up again for another kiss, blushing like he's new at this.]

Roxas, I gotta tell you something!

[The fish are happy. They start poking and it tickles.]

[That blush is cute, Roxas being more than happy to return the kiss. The flutter feels wonderful.]

Hm? What is it?

[That is so weird. What are they doing???]

[He smiles sweetly against Roxas' lips.]

That I think I love you so much!

[DUH-- but he's just being dorky.]

Did I ever tell you how happy I was that you were my first kiss?

[Sora. Sora. This is why Zoro was told you were the more romantic one.]

You think?

[He blinks at that.]

You looked happy. Is there more?

[Nothing has been more accurate than Sora is the romantic one.]

You're supposed to say it back, you dummy.

[He grins.]

Hmm. I think I started liking you when I pushed you into that pond.

[At least Roxas tries sometimes, like with the rooftop.]

I know I love you. That's better than thinking.

[He blinks a few times.]

That... was over two months ago. Really?

[The impromptu rooftop picnic date was definitely a welcome surprise for Sora.]

Really! It was so nice to be able to actually talk to you and be around you without us fighting or you having to be part of my heart. And you made me laugh when I shoved you in that pond. [Still no regrets.] It just felt really nice.

[Maybe in the future there will be more cute things like that. Maybe Roxas should ask Nanako for ideas more often. And learn to make cute animal shaped food bentos.]

So all that blushing was because you liked me already? [He sighs with slight annoyance at himself.] I'm sorry I didn't pick up on that...

[oathkeeper]

[Sora laughs and squeeze Roxas.]

You didn't pick up on a lot of things! That's okay. I was worried for a long time that you didn't like me like that so I never said anything. I would have been happy just staying close to you as a friend, but I'm really happy it turned out this way.

[This is like Shiro all over again, but at least Sora didn't take half a year like she did. Roxas doesn't mind it at all.]

It took me a little longer... I had to figure out things when it came to Shiro. I didn't know what to do, and I felt bad about liking you. But someone told me it was better to move on since she's probably never gonna be here.
