What: Time to go shopping! Because no one wants to walk around in the clothes they died in.

As usual for warm weather, the streets are bustling with all sorts of people. Hopefully everyone going along for this little venture can find each other.... Or don't and just cause shenanigans on your own. That's fine too.

After a very bewildering first day, including following a magic wolf to a cozy hill house (well, 'following' in the loosest sense of the word, since it seemed like they were both making things up as they went along), Wendy... thinks she's ready to try and move on.

Everything is confusing, and unreal, and in the midst of it all, she tries to latch onto the things that do make sense. And today, that means finding new clothes.

Dressed in the swirl of a pink dress she'd arrived in- still good, she thinks, not too dirty yet- she sticks to Kairi's side after making her way to the other girl's temple and having teleported through her god's shrine. "So... Where do we go first, then?" She'd grabbed some money from her own god's shrine, but, honestly? It doesn't seem like a lot... and, frankly, it's not a currency she's familiar with. But, hey, it's better than nothing, right? With her long hair tied back in a long braid instead of the fancy buns she'd started out with, Wendy twirls it a little inbetween her fingers as she looks around.

At this point Kairi's just glad that the two of them managed to meet up! Even for Kairi, who feels quite modern compared to people like Kija and Wendy and Erk, this is a fairly big place all the same. She's dressed for the summer in skorts and sleeveless double-shirts and sandals, with Senri's star hairpin tucking some of her bangs back. She's going to have to be very careful with her allowance today, but maybe in the future... she'd need some way to earn money to keep coming back for things she likes today.

"How about we do some window shopping first? It might be easier that way if anyone else shows up to stick close by for a little while." Well, that and- "Did you notice yet? It's really hard to get Near Shore people's attention too. I think if we stay around and look at some of these cool shops first, we might have a better shot at getting the owners' and workers' attentions when we actually want to buy something!" It was a theory anyway.

But regardless, Kairi gestures to Wendy's outfit. "You look so pretty I'm not sure what you could buy to improve the look, really." She's a casual girl at heart, after all.

Window shopping- another term that she’s not familiar with, but with the phrase and the context enough, Wendy thinks she can figure it out. While it might be a little painful to look at everything and not get it, there’s also some fun it too, she supposes. While she’s turning it over in her head, however, Kairi makes her observation, and Wendy looks around quickly. Sure enough, people’s gazes just slide right over them. “You’re right… That seems pretty handy. Well, whatever works!”

The compliment makes her laugh, and Wendy spins in place, letting the skirt flare out. “I really like it, but it’s not a practical outfit!” Coming to a stop, cloth still swishing about her knees, she gestures wholly to Kairi’s own outfit. “Yours is much better. As much as I’d like to look cute, it sounds like being a shinki means running around a lot!”

[After detaching from Kairi, Wendy has gone to explore some things of her own. Although... She guesses, in the end, that just means wandering and staring, eyes wide as she stops to admire person after person.]

Wow... So this is what people wear, huh?

[With that in mind... Her pink dress doesn't stand out much at all, although now she finds herself wishing she'd gone through the effort of doing her hair up again.]

[Now that she's stopped gaping at all the different styles- from the sleek to the outlandish, befitting Harajuku- Wendy is going on the tough journey of finding just the right clothes. And it's... harder than it looks. After all, she's pretty small and petite, for one thing, and for another, she's going on a limited budget.]

[For now, she tries to find the more plain things, carefully inspecting the quality and investigating the price tag. Occasionally, she'll ask someone for help in looking for things that fit her requirements.]

[And, sometimes, she'll glance over at the more cute and expensive things with obvious longing. One of these days, she's really going to have to figure out how to make more money...]

[Nami has no reservations about making a beeline for the cute-and-expensive section, and she's very quickly amassing a veritable mountain of clothes, presumably to take to the register.

At first she thinks maybe Wendy just favors browsing the plainer things, but as she notices those longing looks and those price tag checks, she second-guesses that assumption. Having grown up poor, she's too familiar with the situation of not getting to have any of the clothes she wanted.]

Hey, the first rule of shopping is don't buy anything you don't genuinely want, right? Come on over here. And don't worry about the tags-- I know a trick.

[She winks.]

[Oh- it’s the pretty lady who’d answered the invitation on the BBS. Wendy glances back to the clothing she’d been investigating before abandoning it in a heartbeat with a grin.]

Well I’m always interested in tricks! Whatcha got?

[ Hibiki has to catch herself before she bumps into Wendy. The girls passing them seem to be dressed in as many clashing shades of pastel as possible. Including their hairstyles.

Hibiki watches them go with a very tired look on her face, one hand to her head. ] ...For varying definitions of "people".

[Twisting around to look at what’s gotten Hibiki’s attention, Wendy raises an eyebrow.]

So they clash that bad for you, huh?

[At least, that’s what she’s assuming is the problem.]

Hair And Everything With It

[Kairi's spending a whole lot of time admiring the fashions of the girls walking around but paying particular attention to their hair accessories.]

Wow, it almost makes me want to grow my hair out just to put more of those cute things in it. Or, wait-

[Some poor girl just leaned over the wrong way and lost her beautiful indigo wig with curls everywhere and a tiny hat perched on top of it. She clearly has short black hair underneath there!]

Wigs! Of course, I didn't even think about that.

Keep It Casual

[One thing she knows is that the more fabric, the more expensive something is. So part of her effort to stretch her allowance includes shopping for skorts first, and cute socks, and gloves (hah), and then some thin tops that are DEFINITELY getting something underneath of them before Kairi wears them. They're either so sheer-lacy that she can't imagine her bra not showing, or they're thick fabric but incredibly narrow cuts.]

Actually, if you see a pair of cute gloves - maybe longer than wrist length - let me know? It'd be kind of funny to make that a signature fashion statement sometimes.

[And then she laughs coyly unless someone wants to ask why.]

Shoes! Girl's Gotta Work.

[In her defense, she actually didn't care much about shoes before ... well, before. She thinks. But the fact is that she has this problem of spending a lot of time at Sora's temple where there's sand everywhere and the sandals she likes wear do the job well, but then there's prayers with Roxas and sandals are just not a good idea there. She has one good pair of walking shoes, but now she needs a really good athletic pair too. She's starting to wonder if Harajuku's really the best place to look for some though...]

Mmm - these are really pretty, but I'd almost hate to get them dirty?

[She gestures to her star-shaped hairpin.]

Kind of like how I have to leave Senri's present to me at home too, when I'm out on prayers.

[Chikusa took note of the invitation on the BBS, but that’s not really why he’s here. Honestly, Harajuku is just one more stop for him in his efforts to try and learn every inch of this city. If something like the zombie parade happens again, which he’s certain it will, it’s best to be prepared. Familiarized.]

[But for now, he’s run into a familiar face, and he glances over Kairi dully.]

...Boots would be better. There’s a store at the station…

[Well first thing's first, if he's going to randomly pop up like that. After learning so many people here are adverse to hugs, she just pats him on the shoulder.]

Nice to see you again, Chikusa! I appreciate the advice.

[She removes her hand to gesture in the air with a shrug.]

I didn't think of boots before. Can you show me where?

[Sanji, unlike some of the others, did not see the summons on the BBS. He haunts the clothing stores for the sole purpose of getting some new threads, and it's by chance and luck that he spots Kairi poking through the clothing racks. Like a man possessed he abandons his position and twirls in her direction, singing about summertime and girls with pretty red hair and the joys of mellorine love.

He also has this cute little item in the crook of his elbow. And yes, he's sincerely thinking of buying it.]

Cute gloves? [Momentarily distracted from giving her praise, Sanji straightens and glances around the store] Didn't see any when I was shopping but...

Neh, Kairi-chan, isn't it a little too hot for gloves?

[She smiles at him as he twirls over. She can't find a reason to dissuade him from the silly shirt, though - they can wear incredibly bright things and not get noticed or remembered if they are noticed, so fashion becomes kind of a free-for-all in her mind.]

Oh I'm not thinking of winter gloves, those padded thick kinds.

[She gesture to her own hand.]

I mean something lacy or really thin and silky. I thought it'd be a fun idea since I turn into a pair of gloves when Roxas and I answer prayers together.

[ About halfway through the afternoon, anyone towards the back of the shopping party may notice the person who'd been looming over their shoulder in the very back of the shopping party isn't there any more. Hibiki, who had only tagged along because she'd hoped to give Wendy a treat for being her Very First Worshipper, has had enough of all this camaraderie and bonding nonsense. She's got her own objectives. Might as well get to them.

Off she peels from the group, hands in her pockets. Though she's more strolling than anything else, she's moving like a person who knows exactly where they're going.

Which she is. She has comprehended the situation sufficiently. Now, all that remains is to make use of PriPara to travel back to Parajuku. From there, she can fetch the necessary supplies and return, ready to truly make this godhood her own. Everything amiss with her life will be sorted out once she gets to PriPara. Yes, in this case, as in all cases, PriPara is the eternally-shining solution!

She keeps looking up at the horizon, though, and frowning. Her apartment building is supposed to be right over there. And it isn't.

[As one half of the whole reason this little trip is happening in the first place, Wendy has been keeping an eye on everyone subtly- especially the resident show off. So when she peels off, Wendy ducks away as well, following to make sure nothing happens.]

[But… it seems like so far Hibiki is just walking, and Wendy tilts her head to the side. Maybe there was nothing to worry about in the end?]

[ ...She's being followed. By....Ah. That's permissible, Hibiki supposes. In accordance with her original plan. (Though she's still a bit put out at this turning out to be such a large group.)

She slows her steps even further, unconsciously, to let Wendy catch up. Consideration for the lady one escorts is part and parcel of being a Prince.

Once Wendy is close enough to hear her: ]

Aren't you the master of ceremonies?

[ Or did all those people like. Happen to just glom onto your shopping trip by accident? Hibiki has noticed people tend to do that, sometimes. Like barnacles. ]

[ At some point he ends up at a keychain display outside a shop, and is looking through them with interest. He's not intending to buy anything but just looking is fun too. He comes across things like bunnies with coffee cups and similar things and really, aren't they just irresistible. ]

How cute.

[ Does shinki need jobs? He's going to get a job so he can buy cute things like this. ]

[ And then there's all the hilariously weird sunglasses that some shops sold. He couldn't help laughing at himself, and take pictures with his phone.

He might startle people when he suddenly burst out laughing on several occasions, which was not his intentions. ]

[Coming out of the shop herself, she pauses when she sees what he’s looking at, and stands on the tips of her toes to see what else is on display.]

Oh yeah, they really are… So you put them on keys and things like that, huh?

[ He nods a yes, picking among the key chains. ]

Yeah, and then these, you put put on your phone.

[ He points at phone straps on another display, with equally cute pieces. ]

[His god is standing a few feet away, watching bemused, as he tries on yet another pair of silly glasses and laughs at himself. The next time he turns Riku's way, he'll hold his own phone up and snap a picture.]

This is becoming my caller id picture for you. And you have no one to blame but yourself.

[ He blinks in surprise over the rim of the sunglasses, then grins and lowers his phone. ]

I could have done a way better pose if you'd warned me.

[ He has absolutely no problem with his caller id being a picture of this. ]

[ Helping people out seemed to be his thing so he was looking around for the girl that he met on the beach. Hopefully she'll show up at some point. Though, the idea of looking into clothes that people wore daily was also somehow fascinating. Hopefully, he'll be able to look into clothes for his own gender. After all being something that wasn't human, clothes weren't exactly a necessity.

He's curiously eyeing some stores as he looked around for said little girl. Hopefully he won't get too much of a scare either. ]

[Wendy is pretty easy to find, so long as you remember to look a little more downwards- she’s inspecting the inside of a clothing store, eyes shiny at the bright clothing. She doesn’t know why this is so exciting and fun to see, but it just is.]
