[Closed] Drive all of the youngsters crazy.
Who: Jade Curtiss and Guy Cecil
What: Jade and Guy run into each other in a not so unlikely place
Where: Tokyo
When: June 14th
Warnings: n/a.
Jade decided to finally supply himself with a decent amount of modern technology to make organize his random bits of research. There was a lot to learn about this world and he would eventually run out of space for the myriad of journals he had been keeping on various subjects. He had created a list of devices to look out for that would aid him in his building up some kind of research room for himself.
He entered inside of a large building that was used to sell all sorts of tech. The sales people didn't see him and he wasn't about to make himself known until it was the appropriate moment to do so. He liked to take on his own little adventures in solitude. That was a great benefit of being "invisible" to the living.
"Now then...first I need to find a desktop computer" he muttered to himself as he looked down at his hand written list. "Where to begin...?"

Which was fine with Guy, he just wanted to look and could answer his own questions through trial and error and liberal application of a screwdriver--not that he was going to take anything apart in the store. But he was having a small battle with the staff nonetheless, as they kept moving the small cart of stuff he'd grabbed, only seeing an apparently abandoned cart of things that needed to be put back.
Another cart rescue mission takes him into the vicinity of Jade, and nearly right into the man.
"Whoa! Sorry, I wasn't paying attention..." Not to mention he nearly dropped the packaged CD player he was holding. "Oh! Hi Jade, haven't seen you in a while."
no subject
He looks down at the package that Guy is holding. "Out for a bit of shopping?" A slender brow raises upwards asking the underlying question 'with money or without?'.
Though he doesn't particularly care one way or the other about the morality of theft when it comes to shinki. Sometimes it's too much of a hassle to flag down a cashier and complete the mundane exchange of money and goods.
no subject
Technically, right now, he could steal all he wanted, since he had no god to blight if he happened to feel guilty, but he didn't want to rely on it too much.
"What about you?"
no subject
He looked down at his list of things. "You wouldn't happen to know much about the things on this list, would you?" Jade held out the list so that Guy could see. It had a desktop computer as the first thing, a digital camera, memory card, flash drive, and a printer. He remembered Guy's interest in the machinery of a motorcycle, so perhaps this would spark some interest in him as well. It would make things a lot easier for him.

"I don't know a lot about your list. I can tell you where everything is, at least. But I have some experience with computers." Computer. Singular. Ni had a computer, a laptop, and Guy learned enough of how it worked to create folders and documents and access the internet. "Is the computer going to stay in one spot? If you need a portable one, you could get a laptop. And the printer types are ones that print with ink and others that print with...lasers, from what I can tell."
no subject
"You must frequent this place quite a bit then" He commented. "But yes, I would just like a computer that stays at home. My phone is enough when I am out and about. You've lost me on printers, however. I just know the purpose they serve"
For some reason, just knowing what the devices were and what they did were enough for him. He wasn't as interested in technology as someone would think he would be.
"I won't decline your assistance if you offer" It would make this shopping trip so much faster and easier. Jade was all about efficiency.

"The computers are over...this way," he said after a few seconds of looking around, indicating an area of the store behind him. "The desktops come in three parts--keyboard, screen, and the actual computer hardware. The cameras are over there." Yet another gesture.
"Everything else...I'm not sure."
no subject
"I'm sure I'll be able to find it." he said with a shrug.
He pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose once more before taking a look around for something.
"Ah. There we are. A cart." He goes over to a flat cart for larger object, unloads what's already on it, then just takes it. "I can't be expected to carry all of that stuff with these old bones"
