Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

There's a short pause as he considers.]

We were talking about what it means to be a god. I'm... well, I'm the replacement for somebody who's domain is essentially modesty and humility.

I think... gods should do everything they can to keep people safe.

I'm Midoriya Izuku. It's nice to meet you.

[rememberher]

Oh!

[ Keeping people safe... Then he was similar to the god she served. For the bright smile she wore earlier, it eased slightly, still light but perhaps a bit more inwardly radiant. Thankful? ]

Mm. I can't say much on the matter, but I agree. And I'm glad to hear that others think the same.

[ A beat. ]

I'm Lux. It's a pleasure.

I'm glad. I just want to help people, however I can. That's part of being a hero.

It's nice to meet you, Lux.

[rememberher]

[ Being a hero...

(What about that didn't sit right with her?) ]

I think...

[ Shrugging her shoulders just slightly, her head tilting gently to one side, her smile turned a bit complicated. ]

I think I'd rather think of us as helpers, rather than heroes.

[fullcowl]

[It sits just right on him- and his shinki. But then, they were from a world where heroics are a high school course.]

That's fair. I've always wanted to be a hero, and that's what I was in school for. So it's easier for me to think about this as an extension of that.

[rememberher]

You went to school to be a hero?

[ That seems to perplex her just a bit. ]

I didn't realize that there were schools for that sort of thing.

Yeah? You need to get authorized to work as a hero otherwise you're a vigilante and that's illegal.

[rememberher]

I'm not sure that I've ever heard of something like that before.

[ A pause, and something of an awkward smile. ]

But then, I guess that isn't saying much is it? But it sounds interesting!

[fullcowl]

[There's an awkward pause out of Izuku. That's... well. That's how shinki are.]

Thanks. Um... Have you been adjusting okay? Have you met your god?

[rememberher]

[ She was making a joke! Probably! It's not her fault that he didn't get her (terrible, ineffective, we could really go on...) sense of humor.

But at that she manages a smile. ]

I'm doing all right, no need to worry about me!

[ Taking the wattage down a notch; ]

When I first arrived here, yes. The Archangel Michael—but he prefers to go by the name Allen. I think the whole thing makes him a little uncomfortable.

[Let's say Izuku's sense of humor is a bit strange.

He gives her a look for a moment. He's going to worry about everyone, thank you very much.]

Glad you've met. It's really weird to be called other names, especially when they've belonged to other people before.

[rememberher]

[ She blinked a few times in surprise. ]

...I never thought of it that way.

We're... basically filling in for them. They're not here, for whatever reason, so we're doing their jobs.

It's even weirder when you're filling in for a goddess.

[Like him. He's sure filling in for a goddess.]

[rememberher]

I can only imagine.

[ It's okay Izuku just don't think about it too hard. ]

Then you've met your shinki as well, I imagine. How long have you been here—ah.

[ She pauses then. Maybe it's not the same for everyone? Allen arrived separately. Died. He said he remembered it, which is... more than a bit upsetting. Was it the same for him? ]

That is how it works for other gods, isn't it? I'm not too clear on the details, I'm afraid.

Yeah, Todoroki's amazing.

[His gaze softens for a moment. Todoroki's always been amazing, back at home and here. But it's so strange to know his friend's whole history when Todoroki doesn't remember the full details.]

... I've been here since March. But this is around the time that new people arrive. That happens about every ten days or so.
