Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[ And had been, almost since the moment he'd woken up here. Everything about this situation is making him anxious and uncomfortable and he doesn't even know why.

And Izumo's words on that matter aren't exactly comforting. ]

Turning into an ayakashi.

[ Yata blanches, his eyes widening at that. ]

The evil things we're supposed to kill? That can happen?

[Izumo nods.]

It can; there's been some incidents in the past where some shinki have turned into ayakashi.

[He briefly thinks of Zero before it's gone.]

Usually, the one way it can happen is if a shinki begins to ask too much about their past.

[ Yata frowns and absently rubs at the brand on his collarbone, the one that still itched from his last use of the Aura. ]

So that's why? Why we're not supposed to ask or find out about... about whatever we were?

[Izumo's eyes flicker to the brand before he looks away.

He gives a nod.]

That's why. If we start asking too much questions, the risk of turning into an ayakashi becomes higher.

[ He looks pissed again. ]

So I can't ask anyone about what I can do or why, but I'm still just supposed to know how to use it or what it can do? That's bullshit.

[It's why they're learning borderlines.

[ What's so wrong with wanting something to be easy? It's not that he objects to having this fire, but an instruction manual or something would have been nice. ]

Fine. But if they're mad about me burning down their whole training yard while I figure this out, it's their own fault.

[A huff of a laugh.]

I doubt they'll be mad. [A lot of people has done worse.]

But have at it. Better to get the hang of it now before more than the training yard gets burned down.

[ Yata just shrugs, agreeing. ]

Yeah, I guess you're right. [ The last thing he wants is to meet his new god and then accidentally burn down their temple or something... That would probably be bad.

He manages to muster a crooked grin for the guy across from him. ]

Thanks. I'm Yata, by the way.

[A chuckle and Izumo manages a grin back.]

The name's Izumo.

[ Yata commits the name to memory with a dip of his head. He's still got a lot of questions, but there's some things he wants to try out for himself, so they can probably wait. Besides, he can always find this guy again, right? Maybe he'll have better questions to ask about this fire by then... ]
