[Forrest has never had a sleepover before, so he's pretty excited to host one at his temple. He sends out invitations ahead of time to everyone he can think of, letting them know to bring pajamas, snacks, and even a friend or two if they want. He's clad in a frilly pink nightgown with ribbons and bows for the occasion, and he's temporarily converted Lakshmi's audience chamber into a space where the guests can all party and sleep. It was already mostly full of pillows to begin with, so all he had to do was move some more in and set up some tables for snacks and things. One of the tables conspicuously contains all of his beauty supplies, because like hell is Forrest hosting a slumber party without makeovers. Anyone who shows even the slightest bit of interest will get their makeup, hair, or nails done. Soft music and the scent of lotus blossoms drift through the air, creating the perfect atmosphere for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves.]

((OOC: If you've got a teenager that Forrest has talked to more than once, assume he invited them. Friends of friends are totally welcome as well. Everyone can feel free to put up their own toplevels, and everybody tag everybody and mingle to your heart's content!))

Hmm? [Sora tilts his head and then takes a quick second to glance around the room.]

Well there's some people here I don't know yet? Kairi and Forrest have some friends I don't know.

[But he wouldn't really consider them not-friends? Just acquaintances!]

You really consider every person you meet your friend?

[Yuto shakes his head a little, as if not believing his own ears.]

You're amazing.

[Sora grins sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head as he does so.]

Is that a bad thing?

[He sees the good in everyone first, even in strangers.]

[Yuto regards him with unreadable expression as he thinks of an answer.]

There are also bad people in the world.

I know. But, no one is born bad.

[Sora says simply in return, his grin changing to a smile.]

[Yuto looks at him a moment longer, before turning away and closing his eyes.]

You're right about that. But that doesn't mean much. Knowing who you can trust is important, too.

I'll always give people a chance before I decide if I can trust them or not, Yuto.

[Sora says this with pure conviction. Just because he trusts people and sees them as friends first doesn't mean he's an idiot about it. He's been proven wrong for trusting the wrong people before but at least he can say to himself that he gave that person a chance.]

If I can't trust someone, they'll know it.

That's what I don't understand about you.

[He takes a moment to just look at Sora before he explains:]

It isn't a bad thing to believe in people and it isn't a bad thing to want to understand them either. But trust and friendship is different. It's something that has to be earned.

[It makes him think about when he met Yuto and how the other didn't trust him or consider him a friend for such a long time. Sora has pursued that with all his might but there's one thing he does remember specifically.]

I remember when I first met you I invited you to a get together at my temple. You got really mad at me for thinking we were friends already, I really thought you weren't gonna show up at all or talk to me ever again.

[Sora laughs.]

I'm really glad you gave me a chance to earn your trust, Yuto.

[Yuto gives him a surprised look.]

I don't remember getting mad... Did I really seem like that?

[He looks genuinely confused. But then he gives Sora very small smile and looks away.]

You're a good person, Sora, so of course I gave you a chance.

[Sora nudges Yuto playfully.]

I mean, a little.

[He's joking but also kind of not. He really did think he annoyed Yuto too much back then and totally blew it. ~~he just really likes yuto and really wanted to be friends because yuto was and still is so super cool okay~~]

Thanks, Yuto. You are too.

[Yuto catches his hand after Sora nudges him. And he doesn't let go.

He gives Sora a serious look.]

I wouldn't get mad at anyone because of something like that. [Never. He doesn't think it's bad to seek friendship with someone. Yuto smiles a little.] ...It takes way more than that to make me mad.

[And his smile turns grateful even though there's a bit of embarrassment in it as well. He is glad that Sora thinks so, but Yuto also realizes he has to work on being a better person.

And he should probably start from making sure nobody thinks he's angry when he's not.]

[When Yuto takes his hand and doesn't let go Sora is inclined to listen. Yuto is a lot like Riku like this, when he's serious about something Sora knows it and he does his best to settle his own energy to listen properly.]

Yuto, I know I say it a lot but I'm really glad we're friends now.

[Part of him knew Yuto really wasn't mad at him back then, but he'd been so excited to be friends with Yuto that he couldn't get over it completely. It feels better with Yuto saying he wasn't mad himself.]

I don't think I ever want to see you actually mad!

[It's probably really scary! Like- DRAGON SCARY.]

[Yuto remains silent for a moment, then squeezes Sora's hand lightly in his.]

I'm glad we're friends, too. I really am.

[He wants Sora to know that. And he lets go of his hand now.]

And I really can't imagine what you could do to make me mad, so don't worry.

[But dragon scary... sounds about right.]

[Sora grins really big when Yuto says that in return. He's so happy and full of giddy excitement at that, that he decides to pull Yuto into a big hug. He squeezes the other happily and affectionately.]

That makes me really happy!!

[Sorry, Yuto. He gets like this sometimes.]

You're gonna stay the night, right? Right?

[He tenses, surprised by the hug and remains unmoving as he stares at Sora for a few seconds. Is the other really that happy? In that moment Sora really reminds Yuto of Hajime. And a little of Yuya, too.

Tension slowly drains away from his muscles and Yuto hugs Sora back. A small smile appears on his face.]

I already promised Hajime I'll stay.

[So he can go back home.]

[He doesn't even register that Yuto tenses at first. No, he's too happy right now. He squeezes Yuto a little more before he relents his grip and lets go with a wide smile on his face.]

Good, I'm really glad! It'll be nice to spend some time here. Everyone is really nice too.

[A pause, then he remembers Yuto wouldn't be too interested in talking with everyone.]

If you're feeling cornered come get me and we can go for a walk or something!

[Seeing that smile on Sora's face, Yuto can't help but smile as well. And he nods.]

I'll take you up on that.

[Then he looks around, thinking about what Sora said.]

...But where could we go for a walk?
