Kairi and Goten are off on an adventure to answer a prayer in Aymeric's absence, since Goten wants to impress this god enough he'll stick around. Poor Goten is on God #3. Since Aymeric is Forseti, they learn that the beseecher - whose fish traps are getting their fish eaten after hauled in - is located on "Heligoland." For starters, where on earth is that?

[His expression worries her. A lot.]

.... Is that wrong? I'm sorry. You just seem so much nicer than a 'master' and all, so I thought...

[And she bites her lip to stop the ramble, but she's concerned anyway.]

[He shakes his head before a smile breaks out.]

No! I'm happy! It's just... I didn't think you'd think of me more than a friend and your god.

Oh! [She smiles back, relief immediately washing over her expression.]

I have a lot of friends. [She repeats it back on purpose.] But I don't live with them either. You, Senri, Raichi, Sora, even Brandon and Yurick... you're special. I didn't know how else to describe it to people, so I've started telling them it's like living in a house full of brothers.

[Then she laughs a little bit, breaking the tension she was feeling.] And you're the big brother of them all.

[He would object to that, and then stops.]

..... I think I'm the oldest out of everyone at the house... I'll be seventeen soon...

[Well she's including Rep and Yurick but... they have no idea how old shinki are, so she's not gonna argue either. He's the oldest in mindset, anyway. Most responsible, even if he doesn't want to tell Sora when she's in danger.]

I don't think I'll be calling you Big Bro anytime soon - it makes me think of Nanako when I say that - but... I do think of you that way, Roxas. I'm glad you don't mind.

[.... How much teasing can she get away with...?]

I guess that makes Sora my brother-in-law? To be?

[Because there is some things that would make Sora flip out. Like only having Kairi with him as Roxas fought a shinki that was destroying a street...

He nods. Then stops.

A moment later his face goes scarlet. He raises his hands and waves them, making a squeaking noise before replying.]

W-We're not getting married!

Well not yet.

[She holds one hand up to her mouth to giggle.]

I won't tell Sora you said that.

[Kairi does understand not everyone gets married and they're young, it's fine, she just has to give him a hard time after so much tension.]

[He's still rather red when she relents, nodding as he looks away.]

R-Right. Even if we never do, as long as I'm with him, I'm happy.

[As sappy as that sounds.]

[Her hands settle at the small of her back.]

That's what I like to hear.

['You deserve to be happy. Both of you,' she thinks to herself, because they really are her big brothers of the household. How could she not want them both to be happy? And if they're happy together, then that's more than fine too.]

[This is even more important to him after that fight he and Sora had a few days earlier. Where Sora thought Roxas was breaking up with him with how upset the blond had been.]

When I say things like that around Sora, he... well, no, it's embarrassing. [Kairi might be happy, but Sora gets very happy.]

[Kairi tries to nod in answer.]

You can tell me, if you want. If it helps to talk about it, I mean.

[She holds one arm with the other hand.]

At least when you get embarrassed, someone doesn't know about it right away. I want to talk to you about this kind of stuff because I know I can't hide it anyway. So if you do the same thing... maybe it won't feel so weird? I don't know. I just imagine telling my sibling something embarrassing can be a little easier than telling the person I like. Maybe.

[Roxas blushes and rubs the back of his neck.]

I-It's embarrassing in a 'how he reacts' kind of way. He gets super happy and he teases me... because I start blushing really badly. He thinks it's cute. And then he does cute things and it just makes everything worse!

[Or Sora starts to flirt with Roxas, which he doesn't know how to respond to in the first place.]

[Kairi just laughs and smiles a whole lot - not at Roxas but because that is definitely a cute mental image.]

Have you tried teasing him back?

[He's really easy to have his chain yanked, in Kairi's mind, but maybe Roxas is even easier than that so Sora's currently winning that gambit.]

Maybe that would help you stop blushing as much because you're turning the tables on him, right?

[She's running on Dream Logic now, because several different dreams with several boys... yeah... and she can't even remember the one with Sora in it. This is purely from Lance and Forrest and Lavi.]

[He huffs softly.]

I-I'm not that good at it!

[Roxas puts his hands in his pocket.]

Besides... he has more dirt on me than I do on him. Especially after that damn dream he walked in on!

[The nightmare was awful... both Kairi and Urashima saw it. But the good dream? Sora got to see everyone Roxas loves that he left behind or that left him behind. Got to see him as a cat. Got to see one of the most embarrassing moments in Roxas' short life.

Still. He's rather upset now. And when upset, guess who starts swearing. ~~The people he hangs out with swear a lot.~~]

How the hell you guys got into my dreams in the first place... I didn't want anyone but Sora and the other Roxas to know I'm afraid of the dark!

[Well that took a turn she didn't want at all...]

Roxas? I'm sorry, I didn't mean like... like dirt on someone. I meant like... when someone calls me cute, I get a little embarrassed, but then I call them cute back and they're so surprised that they go quiet for a bit. That sort of thing.

[She pulls one hand up to her arm.] As for the dreams... I was wondering how many of them were really shared. I guess that confirms it.

[Kairi looks anxious to talk about them any more and only half the reason is because of how upset Roxas is.]

I promise not to bring it up again since you didn't tell me yourself about it.

[Your god is more than a little stressed right now. Remembering the dream has kind of crashed his mood.]

... I didn't even want to tell Sora, but... [He slumps his shoulders, putting his hands in his pockets to keep Roxas from doing something stupid.] I can't keep things like that from him. All of my painful moments in that world? He knows about them. I don't want anyone else to. They're my secrets, and that dream thing ruined that.

[She nods.]

I understand.

[She'd woken up from intense dreams as well, just not quite in the same vein as Roxas's. Talking to Forrest that morning had hurt a lot, but they'd been honest with each other and she'd only have felt guilty if she'd lied about things. And if Roxas weren't so wound up right now, she might have told him about that too, but she didn't want to stress him out any more than he already was. Besides, Forrest was embarrassed enough as it was about the nature of those dreams - perhaps just as embarrassed as Roxas was feeling distraught over his own.]

... I'll talk to you later, then.

[Because maybe giving him space is the best thing she can do right now.]

[He hadn't even really felt her pricking him that day since he'd been so stressed about things. If he had, he would have confronted her much sooner. Sora had at least only seen a semi-good dream that had made Roxas miss his Koriko friends immensely and feel so damn guilty because his former girlfriend had been a part of them. It hurt so much to have Sora be jealous of people that he would never get to meet.

He takes a bit before nodding.]

Yeah. Later. I'll be ready by then.
