[June 22-24; The Library Clean-up]

[Whoever's offered to help clean up the library may already find the state of the library in some sort of chaos.

It's not clean by any means, but there are little notes littered around, tracking which books are which to whatever category, and there are even some suggestions placed at the ends of the notes as to where to start.

With the library a mess, it'll be a miracle to clean up, even if it is mostly scattered and seems to be a lost cause.

Anyone who's offered to help may receive a text message from Lavi, telling them that the clean up will begin almost immediately, but to start on their own idea of organization as well if it means it'll get done quicker.

The redhead in question isn't seen at first, but check behind some piles of books, and he'll be there.]

[It's time, it's time!

Since the library is a bit of a mess with all the clean up currently going on, there are a few spots located in the library, a bit close to the entrance, dedicated to these little group meetings.

If people wants to discuss books - whether it'd be mythologies, fairytales, or even spells - then by all means, come and gather around to talk about it. The more ideas shared between people, the better!

Of course, that is to say, there's even a little spot outside of the library repurposed for those who want to practice the spells.

Let it be a battle royale it need be. No one's really in charge of these groups, but the redhead who suggested for these groups can be found at the spot by the entrance of the library with a thin stack of papers in hand.]

[Izuku's back in the heavens after getting the mission done. He pokes in around noon- kind of a mess, but it's still quite a bit nicer than it has been.]

Uh... Hello? Is anybody here?

[Lavi appears from behind a stack of books, giving Izuku a little wave and a grin.]

[ What, a Bookman getting lost in books?

Entirely unsurprising. But that also doesn't mean he won't judge you for it when you were the one who wanted to work on reorganizing this place instead, Lavi.

But whereas if the other Exorcist had his memories and Allen would grouse at him for his drifting attention like the more mature one of the two that he is... he merely pulls a slightly lopsided smile. Be the polite one. ]

It wasn't a suggestion. [ Said with a wry twitch of an eyebrow anyway. Alright, so maybe some things never change. ]

What can I help with..?

[If he gets judged for it, then he has every right to judge you back, reckless shounen.

But there's a narrow-eyed look Lavi will send to Allen. That smile is fake. Lavi doesn't know how he knows (or maybe because he's so used to his own smiles feeling fake and insincere) but he does.

There's a nagging in the back of his head, but Lavi ignores it because he knows what will happen if he tries to remember.

The feeling of being blighted is almost as miserable as it is trying to remember.

But he smiles, anyway.]

Well, how familiar are you with libraries?

[ No idea at all why you're giving him that sort of look...

...except no, of course he does, and as normal-feeling as it would normally be something just feels a little off too, and the briefly playful—briefly normal sparkle fizzles. Ah.

Don't push it.

So the question gives Allen a brief pause, rubing idly at the back of his head for a moment as his gaze drifts up. Libraries...

Dozing off in piles of books out of sheer boredom. Waking up to find Lavi to have coaxed Lux into doodling on his face. Getting thrown out on their ears when they squabbled too loudly. ]

...a friend of mine used to spend a lot of time in them.

[ Turning back to Lavi then, he lifts his shoulders for a moment faintly in a half-hearted shrug, like he means to say it's no big deal or to perhaps apologize that he's not more useful. A smile there, but it's a little stretched. Like it hurts and he means to hide as best as he can that it does. ]

But I don't know them very well though, to be honest.

It was more his kind of thing.

June 22: Spells Training

[She wanders into the library with the remnants of her sandwich lunch in one hand before stuffing it into her mouth and looking around for Lavi. She quickly chews it down and then soon after finds him. Kairi makes a quick stop off in the bathroom to wash her hands before finally heading over to sit across from him.]

Hey there! Nice to see you again. I would say I'm sorry that I'm so excited but... [She laughs a little.] I'm not actually that sorry. Spells are really important, aren't they?

[When Kairi sits across from him, his eye flickers up and he gives her a smile in greeting.]

They are. [And remembering why she came in the first place, Lavi shuffles the papers he has in hand and slides them over to her.

They were all detailed notes about the spell with Lavi's own twists to it and some side-notes.] These are the notes I have for that silence spell. Had to do it completely by memory, though.

[She takes a deep breath and tries to physically calm herself.]

Okay, I've got my thinking cap on now.

[She looks through the notes for less than 5 seconds before realizing they're detailed for 'from memory.' She even lifts her head back up to Lavi himself.]

Well gee, don't sound so humble about it, Lavi. This is amazing, what you wrote down. It's like everything I learned from Mr. Kazuma about Bind crammed into a week or something.

June 23

[ And true to her word, Lux arrives within an hour, he sleeves of her dress shirt rolled up above her elbows and hair tied back into a ponytail. Doing chores, indeed.

Which, from the seems of it, she had more work to do. Notes and scrub kings littering the library's various aisleways, she bent down to pick up a loose leaf of paper. Her eyes scan over it (...a spell?) before she took a few more steps inside. ]

Oh no, the books have claimed a hostage!

[ Still somewhat respectful of volune, but lofty enough to let her voice carry somewhat, a gentle smile curling on her lips. ]

Lavi, are you there? Knock once for yes, twice for no!

[The moment Lavi hears Lux's voice, there's that initial instinct to tense, but then her words register and he can't help but let out a soft laugh.

Definitely a change from the first time they've met, but they're not in the heat of battle now.

Playing along, he'll just knock once before poking his head out from the piles of books he's hidden himself in.]

[ Hearing him knock, she held back a laugh, drawing her lips together and looking around somewhat dramatically.

Ah, there he was. She discretely tucked the sheet of notes away for safe keeping. ]

Oh thank the gods, I thought I might find you stuck between the pages of some old tome!

[ A pause. ]

Although that might not be so bad, now that I think about it. Stay right there, I'll extricate you as soon as I know it's safe!

[ Safe from what, Lux? ]

22nd; Clean-up

[Erk casts an evaluating glance around the library as he steps inside, unfastening his cloak and draping it over the back of the nearest chair. It looks as though work's already been started, although he doesn't see anyone else here at the moment.

Which suits him fine. Erk's more than capable of organizing things without anyone's aid, and the notes scattered about are all the starting point he needs. He rolls up his sleeves, reads a few nearby notes, and reaches for a stack of books.

...And almost jumps out of his skin when sliding that stack of books over reveals a person behind it.]

--Gah!

[Are his books falling on him--

It is.

So, have a yelp as the books slides over, barely hitting Lavi as he retreats quick enough not to get hit. He blinks wildly a few times, startled before he lifts up his gaze to look at the person responsible.]

[misterfrumpyface]

[Erk blinks right back, and lets his breath out in a rush. So it seems he has company after all. He probably hasn't made the best first impression, but maybe he'll care more about that once his heart rate returns to normal.]

...My apologies. [He reaches to retrieve the fallen books.] I didn't realize anyone else was here. You startled me.

clean-up, late june 23rd

[Between personal matters and training, Shun only finds the time to come to the library next on the evening after the message was posted. Some of his usual restlessness seems to have quieted a bit, whether sated by something he was doing earlier in the day or merely calmed by being in the library. It's difficult to tell just by looking at him.

Nonetheless, he keeps his eye out even as he moves to a section and begins shifting books, and once he notices the flicker of red behind the book piles and the faint sound of movement in the silence, he speaks up without even turning fully in that direction.]

Obviously I'm not the first person to have shown up for this, but if this is as far as one day goes, this could take us weeks or months.

Your words are always ones of encouragement, aren't they?

[But Lavi pops out from behind the books all the same, running a hand through his hair while he waves a few papers in Shun's direction.]

As long as we get this done, it doesn't really matter how long it takes us, right?

I'm not trying to be encouraging, I'm being realistic. [Shun makes the point as if it's the most obvious thing in the world, though he figures Lavi already knows given the air of that statement. And while he does look at the papers being waved, it's a bit hard to read them through the waving.]

No, but it'll just make it more disappointing if it fails in the end.

June 22, cleanup

[Patchouli arrives early. She knows this is going to be. an undertaking. However, she's glad to see some work has begun! She gets right to work right away, not even looking for Lavi right off the bat.

However, as she goes for some of the more disordered book piles, she probably finds him in short order anyway.

[People really need to stop hitting that stack of books Lavi's hidden himself in.

Because once he sees that pile moving, he quickly moves away to prevent himself from being hit again.]

Oh well. She pays that no mind and just keeps working for the time being. There's a lot to do, okay]

June 23, book club

[Kaya always feels a bit overwhelmed when coming to the library, as if she's invading some sort of quiet space with her mere presence.]

Um, hello. I'm coming in.

[She stares at some of the unorganized piles of books, trying to read the titles.]

[Upon hearing Kaya's voice, Lavi immediately looks over.]

Kaya!

[A wince when he's scolded, though that doesn't deter Lavi from heading over to her.]

22nd

[ Sorey shows up almost as soon as he gets the message. Of course, why wouldn't he? He did promise that he'd help, and the idea of having another place with information and stories was all-too-tempting to him.

Right now, he's working on organizing the books. However, anyone who watches him can see how careful he's being to not step on any books or damage anything. Books were important! They should be treated well! ]
