[CLOSED] A Bird's Eye View

Who: Lux and Goten, with a possible appearance by Aymeric at some point

Where: Starting near Michael's temple church, and from there who knows?
What: A tour around the town, courtesy of of Goten and Nimbus!
Warnings: Teeth-rottingly adorable, probably.

[ After a bit of mild confusion, the two finally settled upon a meeting place and, as promised, Lux was there bright and early. She waited outside of the dessert shop as promised (the front adorned with a golden rabbit with its back facing out and sitting on a white moon-shaped mochi, with pleasant light blue lettering reading 月兎家 underneath).

Periodically, she would check her phone to see what time it was. Hopefully she wasn't too early--she cut her training a bit short, just in case. No message from Goten, so she assumed she was okay on time, but she wanted to be sure. ]

[ Hahah, of course not... Well, she asked at least.

But ah well, she should have expected that, so it's all right. A smile lighting her face, the blond gave Goten an emphatic nod, brightening then. ]

Yes, definitely! Why don't we start with some of your favorite places first, then. Let's see where that takes us, then decide where to go from there.

[sonofson]

My favorite places? Mmmm....that'd be Aymeric's place or Sharak's place- Oh! Oh! Izumo's bar too! He makes super good food!

[Favorite places go around the people he likes. His smile just grows mentioning them.]

But there's a lot more to see. Walking would take all day and you can't fly so maybe Nimbus will let you ride. Or I can carry you....either way it's flying!

[ ............Goten, why are you going to a bar--

You know? No. She doesn't want to know. She's going to assume that this Izumo person is an adult, and is acting responsibly. ]

Nimbus? Your friend, right?

[ She vaguely remembers him mentioning that name before. ]

Wait, we're flying?

[ Lux looks at him with a wide-eyed blink. It's hard to say whether she's doubtful, intrigued or both. ]

I'm not sure how you would carry me, but...

[sonofson]

I'd just pick you up.

[Lux, why are you making this sound harder then it is? Maybe she's just being silly. Goten shakes his head at her before turning around, looking towards the sky]

I don't think Kairi would need Nimbus today....let's see...

[He cups his hands on either side of his mouth before taking a deep breath and letting out a yell:]

Hey Nimbus! Are you there?! There's someone I wantcha to meet!

[It's a bit odd since Goten is literally waving and yelling up at the clouds but its only a handful of seconds before the similar yellow fluff ball of a cloud comes into view and zooming down to greet them. It circles around Goten before screeching to a halt. He pats the cloud before beaming up at Lux.]

This is Nimbus!

[ You know, with everything she's seen and learned in the last few days, she really shouldn't be surprised. But when Goten cups his hands and begins to shout at the skies, she gets a little concerned. Are you sure you're feeling all right? Hey can always postpone this meeting of theirs...

It should have made sense that Nimbus would be a cloud considering its name, but even that takes her by surprise. She looks absolutely dumbfounded when a small yellow fluff ball of cloudy goodness descends from the heavens like a dog being called for dinner. Forgive her, Goten, while she stares at this. ]

Ah, Nimbus. Right. I should have figured, ahaha...

I didn't realize your friend was [ A small, slightly odd colored wisp of condensation. ] so fluffy?

[sonofson]

Yep! Super fluffy and fast!

[Goten bounces off the ground and onto the yellow cloud. He stands there looking perfectly at home being able to held up by the Nimbus. They had done it dozens of times already, granted, Goten didn't have that great of a need for the cloud since he could fly on his own. Still, it was fun.]

You should try, Lux! Not everyone can ride Nimbus but...I think you'll be fine!

[Goten doesn't know what requirements the moody cloud has but he's only met one person that couldn't ride it thus far..]

[ And as he hops up onto the small cloud, looking positively cheered and like this is the most natural sort of thing for him, Lux blinks a few times. Because wait, how is he—what? How is he not falling through it? She's positively perplexed.

Intrigued as all get-out, but so perplexed. ]

I... think I might be too heavy.

[ That's how it works, right? Goten please don't make her make a fool of herself, she wouldn't be able to handle it, even if most people wouldn't actually see. ]

[sonofson]

That doesn't matter!

[He laughs, shaking his head at her. He bounces up and down on the cloud, trying to show how strong it is.]

I've ridden Nimbus with Kairi before so it's okay if you weigh a lot, Lux! Even if you are heavier then Kairi and me together, you should be fine!

[He really means no ill will by his words. Lux doesn't look that heavy to him either but if that's what she's worried about he'll do his best to reassure her.]

Do you want me to carry you instead?

[ "So it's okay if you weigh a lot, Lux!"

"Even if you are heavier than Kairi and me together, you should be fine!"

Goten. She understands that you're young and not yet a gentleman. She gets that. But there are certain things that you should never say to a lady. Especially not to elaborate on that point.

Looking to the side with a somewhat dry expression on her face, it takes Lux a moment to regain composure. It's fine he probably didn't mean it like that, he doesn't know any better it's not true, right.

This brief, sour mood quickly breaks when he suggests carrying her (Goten weren't you just saying she was heavy?!), looking at him with something of a dumbfounded expression on her face before waving him off with a small half-giggle. ]

Now I know I'm too heavy for that.

[sonofson]

[Goten blinks at her, looking Lux up and down a bit dumbfound. Lux doesn't look that heavy at all. He doesn't get it at all. Maybe it's some special power? She looks light but she's actually super heavy. Like some kind of defense? If she's heavy then its gotta be super hard to take her down.

Goten plops down on the Nimbus, crossing his legs as he stares intently at the older shinki. But he breaks into a big smile, one of awe.]

Whoa...you must be super heavy then Lux....like the heaviest person ever. That's really amazing! How'd you do it?

[ She is light, thank you very much! But he's much shorter, and still a kid, so she can only assume that she would be too heavy for him!

(Oh to be so naive...)

But that comment, and the way that he looks at her with such a bright smile. Ahaha, if Goten was anyone else... Even still, it's hard to hide that little bit of bitterness as she smiles back in a way that's almost dangerous. Not like she would ever do anything—she won't, because he's a kid, and he should be thankful for this—but that her pride might be on the line. Overly sanguine. ]

Why don't you see for yourself?

[ TREAD CAREFULLY, YOUNG FRIEND. ]

[Luckily, he's oblivious to this and takes Lux's smile at face value. It's a cool power and it makes her stronger, right? So she's got to be proud of it.]

See what?

[He doesn't get it. Is she asking him to try and pick her up? Is that it? Oh! He can do that! Yeah! It'd be a great way to test his own strength! Even if he can't pick Lux up at least it'll be fun to try! He's excited to try!

With that he scoots to the edge of Nimbus before hoping down. He bounces over to her, smile as big as ever]

I'll try my best okay?!

[ ...Goten, you're cute, but you really need to learn the social ins and outs of how to speak to a lady. Namely, to not make such a big deal about her weight. Maybe his god could teach him that? She didn't know him, so she couldn't exactly ask...

Maybe she would make a suggestion to Allen. Some good gentleman training might be in order here.

But in any case, her smile turns somewhat less venomous as she bent down slightly at the knees, so he could get a good hold.

Not that she actually expected him to be successful, at least. ]

Ok! Here I go!

[Goten is preparing for a real challenge here. Lux doesn't look heavy, but if she says she is then he's going to believe her. He blinks a bit when she bends slightly and instead runs around behind her. He's picked up a handful of various people of various body types up to this point and that has taught him one thing- grabbing under the arms is the easiest!

Floating upwards he stops just at her height and reaches out to places his hands under her arms and on her sides]

Ready...Go!

[He grabs onto Lux and yanks her upwards with most of his strength. But his grip slips because of how unexpectedly light she really is and he literally ends up throwing her into the air.

Whoops.... Hey, now Lux is the one flying!]

H-Huh?

[rememberher]

[ She expected that he would figure it out before things got too ridiculous.

She assumed that he would begin to lift her, then realize that he couldn't and give up.

She anticipated he might be a bit crestfallen over that, but the two would have a good laugh over the whole situation, then go about their day as normal. ]

Ah..?

[ None of these things happened.

Not even close.

She didn't feel her feet lift from the ground so much as she felt herself rocketed upward by some inhuman force. Suddenly and drastically rising before finally being hurdled into the skies with little to no effort.

Really, she should have seen this coming. ]

GOTEEEEEEEN!

[ To her credit, she had a really good set of lungs on her. Her voice traveled quite a bit, but wow, look at her go. Goten, you should probably... do something about that. Maybe. ]

[Goten gapes a bit, his head tilting back as he watches Lux shoot into the sky and become harder to see the further up she goes. He's pretty impressed. She either really doesn't weigh nearly as much as she said she did or he's just gotten so much stronger! All that training is really paying off! If nothing else he can throw Lux super far. Who knows if it will ever be useful but it is really fun! That thought alone bring a big grin to his face. It wasn't his original intention so now it has him wondering just how far she would fly if he actually was trying to throw her.

Maybe they should try that next!

It isn't until her scream reaches his ears does he blink again. Should he just wait for her to come back down? HHMMMMMM]

It's okay! You're doing great!

[He calls up to her, cupping either side of his mouth. You're doing great, Lux, don't worry! But it's probably a good idea to go after her. Yeah, they're suppose to be hanging out together, not apart. Goten kicks off the ground and flies up after her. It isn't long before he's floating along side her.]

See, Lux! I told you I could do it!

[Goten grins, beaming innocently. It's when she hits the peek of the throw that he reaches out and grabs the back of her shirt, holding her there with ease. With everyone being so much bigger then him, there has to be a better way to hold people...]

Wow, you really flew, huh? Let's try for higher next time! Where'd you wanna go first?

[rememberher]

[ It might actually be both, that she's extremely light and that he's gotten stronger. But that wasn't the issue here because this was not how she imagined flying would go, and while the young shinki might think this is a blast, Lux is not having fun at all!

...Was he shouting something at her, she really can't tell. Also because honestly that was not even a thing that registered in her mind; the only things right now being OH GODS WHY and the fact that she has more than a few regrets. Was it possible to die again? She was going going to die again, wasn't she?

And rocketing up, she finally begins to slow down as gravity decides that she's had enough, maybe it's time to have her come crashing down. Thankfully he had enough sense to catch her. ]

[ Kind of. ]

Down!

[ At least a little bit please! But thank you for catching her?! Just... give her a second before she can say anything useful. Gods, all two weeks of her "life" just flashed before her eyes... ]
