Alright, it's bugging him. What happened during March 15? How did somebody manage to nab the chocolate while it was in transport between when Amaterasu had it and when the gods and shinki were handing them out?

Time to ask around.

[The problem is: Izuku doesn't know everybody who's been in the Heavens since March 15. There were a lot of people there that aren't here anymore. And he didn't even know all the people who were in the Heavens there to begin with.

So he if he doesn't know you, or how long you've been here, there he is with a notebook open and waving you down.]

Excuse me? Are you busy right now?

[There is exactly one person Izuku knows was here back then for sure. After all, that's when they met.

He's once again at her temple and looking it over. Is she about to jump out of the rafters again? He can take it, but he's still worried if she jumps like that.]

[This time, there is no Hajime jump down to greet Izuku. Or at least she's not up high. She is out in the front of her temple, cooing sweetly to some of the vultures on the ground as she feeds them. Though a few chunks of raw meat are tossed out to the hungry birds, she is trying to hand feed here and there. So it's no surprise when she gives out the last piece by hand and her finger gets nipped by a sharp beak in the process.]

Owww! Tobu-kun! You gotta be more gentle... You could learn a lot from Shuto-chan and Chuuchuu-chan.

[Of course they have names. Of course she named them all. But even with the bleeding finger she's smiling all the same, wrapping it up the napkin she brought with. It's only when she turns from the small flock of vultures that she spots that fimilar curly mop of green hair.]

Hello Dekuku! You're not as red as the last time I saw you!

[Have those vultures always been here? ... Probably. It's not as surprising to see her feeding the flock as it is to see her jumping.

But as soon as she mentions how red he was- he's red all over again.]

Hey, Hajime... Um. It's not about that today.

[Hajime blinks slowly, smile not fading in the slightest. She can see you changing colors, Izuku. He's cute! But she really does mean well.]

Huh? But isn't it about that everyday?

I like him every day, that's true...

[Wow, he's going off-topic here, isn't he.]

I was going to ask what you remembered about March 15, the day after White Day?

[Hajime giggles at that, poking her index fingers together and winking at him. Of course when he does ask the question about March 15, her brows raise curiously]

March 15? Mmmm that was awhile back, huh? Dekuku, you have a big book about that and every other day.

[He almost thinks he's done wrong by looking as unoccupied as he is. Silly, right? But Neji's brows shoot up a fraction at the question anyway, innocent as it is and he can't help it.

Some days the afterlife was downright dull.] I am not. [There's no real curiosity in his reply. Neji takes a second to look the new company over--

notebook? really? He tilts his head owlishly at it.] What do you need?

[He doesn't mind that the Heaven's can be quiet. He's not sure his heart could take it if fires happened every day. Or if the demon and ayakashi incident happened monthly.

But for now, he'll get to his question.]

I was wondering how long you've been in the Heavens?

[tuishou]

[Kind of personal, wasn't it? Neji takes a moment to figure that, no, it really is innocent. Innocent enough to spare him concern over it, but not innocent enough to keep from being 'important'.]

I'll answer it, but only if you tell me why you want to know. And how many other persons you've asked.

Sure. I've asked one other person so far.

[Hajime was the first person he asked. She's one of the few people he know has been here since then.]

I'm looking into the March 15th chocolate incident at the request of the Heavens. I don't know everybody who was there then.

[Well--

he tries to think back. There were the reanimated dead that he remembers being faced with first thing. But there's also before (which he'd be damned if he told a stranger about). Back then that was... May?] No.

[He should probably expand. He shakes his head.] I don't know about March 15th. [But since they're on the subject (at the request of the Heavens...)] What happened?

[Goten blinks and looks back at Izuku curiously. He's hovering off the ground as if he was about to take off.]

Uh...Not really.

[His eyes drift to the notebook before looking back up to Izuku]

What are you doing?

[Man, that's such a cool thing to do. He doesn't know a lot of quirks that can be used to fly.]

I'm researching the March 15 incident. Do you know anything about it?

[sonofson]

March 15th?

[Goten looks at him thoughtfully for a second, floating a little higher so he's just eye level with Izuku. He crosses his legs and arms as he thinks. What was special about that day? He seems so familiar.]

Uhm, is that the day that chocolate stuff happened?

[fullcowl]

Right, that's the day with the poisoned chocolates. Do you know anything about it?

[He can't remember if Goten was there back then or not. But it's entirely possible that he's looked into that day as well.]

[sonofson]

Ahuh! Sora, Kairi and me went around and asked about it a bit. It was before I got here....which I guess is a good thing since I would have eaten all the chocolates.

[Goten grins, rubbing the back of his head. Yeah. That wouldn't of been good.]

Whatcha trying to find out about it?

[icyhot]

[ Shouto can't say that he's a very big fan of these sort of tasks, because he's not particularly good at the whole socialization thing. (Admittedly, both he and Izuku have their levels of social awkwardness, so it's not like he's alone in this.)

However, this subject has been bugging Izuku for a while now, so getting the job from the Heavens, he can see why he'd immediately jump on it. They split up for it, because that way they can nab more people when it comes to investigation. Covering more ground.

Since he doesn't know that many people, he's going to intercept pretty much everybody. ]

I have a question for you.

[timeshields]

[She's not often out and about, but every so often she can be found in the wilderness.

That is to say, Homura's out looking at the Heaven's park. It unfortunately does not seem to come with a body of water to fish in.

But when somebody attempts to address her, she turns toward him, nodding ever so slightly.]

What is it?

[icyhot]

[ The Heaven's park is a pretty nice place, overall - he's come through it on runs, and just visited it overall, but.

This is a different reason, and he supposes he'd better do his best to make sure they get somewhere with all this.

He inclines his head just slightly, himself. ]

We're working on an investigation, regarding something that happened a little while ago. How long have you been here?

[timeshields]

[She watches him carefully. It's not as though she has any particular stake in his investigation, but if she answers his questions quickly then they'll both be on their ways.]

"A little while ago" is vague.

I've been here since May 5th.

[It's the day she first met her god, but she doesn't like to think about it. The atmosphere was miserable and oppressive. She half thought she would stop existing.]

Mm. [ He's being a little intentionally vague, to be honest, but mostly so he can get a gauge of people.

And her answer tells him she wasn't there when it happened, but Shouto figures that he can still run through a few things. ]

It was White Day, in March. Someone contaminated the chocolates that were given out with ayakashi, but no one's been able to figure out who it was or how it happened. We're working to investigate it.

[It's actually between asking people about their recollection of that day when he's texting Lavi.

And realizes something important. Like how he hasn't told the person most important to him that his birthday is very quickly coming around the corner.]

Hey, Todoroki... Um... my birthday is on July 15th. Did... you maybe want to do something?

[Like they don't already spend all their spare time together.]

[icyhot]

[ Inclining his head slightly towards Izuku when he hears his name, Shouto doesn't turn to face him until he hears my birthday. There's a little surprise in his face and through the even keel of his emotions, but then it smooths out into something pleasant again. ]

Of course. [ As if there was any questioning it. ] Like what? It's your birthday, after all.

[He's in tune with Shouto's emotions even without them being strong enough to ripple through their bond. It probably comes from knowing him for so long.]

You don't hav-- [Oh he said yes, didn't he?] Ah.

[He feels his cheeks heat up but he trudges forward, doing his best to ignore the embarrassment.]

... Maybe katsudon, cake, and superhero movies? If nothing happens that day that is. I think it's going to land on a day we get new arrivals.

[ He raises an eyebrow a little, and that's amusement mixed with bemusement, now, if the look on his face didn't indicate otherwise. Did he really think Shouto would say no? Why would he, when he spends so much of his time with Izuku as it is? ]

You never know with this place. [ It's easy to agree with that, but. ] That doesn't sound like a bad way to spend the day, if that's what you want to do.
