Faith is like a fire that never burns to embers
Who: Izumo and YOU
What: Various things ranging from training, to mingling at the bar, or whatever shenanigans you want
Where: Around the Far Shore and possibly the Near Shore
When: June 30 - July 2
Warnings: ….None at the moment
[A. Training]
[At one of the empty temples, there’s an area set up with what seems like targets and a nearby pond ready to be used if needed. It seems to be specifically set up for some kind of target practice, though there are some dummies set up as well, ready to be used for some kind of martial arts training.
Izumo is standing in the middle of the targets, seemingly observing them while he plays with a lighter. He seems to be waiting for someone - or anyone really - before he stops playing with the lighter in his hand.
Anyone who happens to wander by can stop and watch as Izumo flicks the lighter and fireballs come shooting out of it, shooting up into the sky before swerving down to hit those targets.
Well, most of it.
Don’t blame him if a stray fireball hits you.]
[B. Double Cross Bar]
[Whether it’s early or late, the Double Cross Bar will accept any patrons who are looking for some food, some time to escape whatever trouble plagues their minds, or even to come and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Drinks are ready to be served, food ready to be eaten, and anyone is free to come and unwind. Or even to come and chat with anyone else in the bar.
The owner and bartender of the bar may be milling around somewhere, but don’t worry.
He’ll come to greet whoever chooses to sit at the bar soon enough with an amiable smile on his face.]
Welcome, welcome.
[C. A sleeping Izumo]
[Somewhere, possibly out of sight and out of the way - enough where it would be easy to miss him, there is Izumo sleeping.
He seems to be sleeping contently, his shades off for once and an arm tucked behind his head.
It’s a fairly nice day out, so why not take a nap?
Anyone is free to wake him up or take this time to try and pull a sneak attack on him.]
[D. Wildcard]
[None of these prompts work for you? Feel free to make up your own or hit me up on
seabutterfly to plot something out!]

[ With a quiet sigh, Mikoto puts them back where he got them and settles down. Have a King keeping watch while you sleep. ]
no subject
If it had been anyone else, anyone or anything with the intention to harm, then he would have waken up. Even so, it doesn't mean that he's completely ignorant of Mikoto's presence; the god's presence seems almost demanding even in his sleep, though Izumo doesn't bother opening his eyes.
If Mikoto is content to keep watch, then Izumo will sleep. Though, it might not be fun since it's not often Izumo would allow himself to take a nap in the open like this.]

Not everyone here is fireproof, you know. [His tone is detached nonetheless, but with the temple fire still so recent, Shun feels like hurling flames around that carelessly isn't going to go terribly appreciated by most people.]

[Even so, he closes the lighter and looks over at him.
He's simply trying to see how much he can do with this power of his, so he chose somewhere isolated enough where people might not intrude. Seems he thought wrong.]

So he's all smiles.]
So, recommend me something strong!

[ Yata stops and stares when Izumo fires off a volley of fireballs at some targets, having been wandering by at an opportune moment, apparently.
Not opportune enough to be far enough away when one misses the target and zooms right for him.
Fortunately, he's getting better at calling up his own Aura - especially at moment of high emotion (like panicking holy fuck right now) and Red flares around him instinctually as a barrier. The fireball meets it, fizzles and... gets absorbed? Yata's not actually sure, but that's what it looked like, even as he stands there staring at the place it had been a moment before. ]
Shit. That was close.
no subject
Ah, Yata. He wouldn't have to worry about him then since he didn't get hit by the fireball.
Or rather, he seemed to have absorbed it.]

Then someone approached him about skipping out on responsibilities. Said that he should be a more responsible owner and tried dragging him off in some direction.
Which didn't really work until Shizuo decided to go along with it and walk along the person lecturing him about how it's important to maintain a routine and how customers, like themselves, become valued patrons through this reliability.
Why would he give a shit about this?
It's when they start breaching the Double Cross Bar's entrance that Shizuo's words overlap the Real owner's welcome. ]
It's unlocked because someone runs the place.
[ Never mind that this poor customer, one that's probably somewhere between a returner and regular, being incredibly thrown off. ]
no subject
He has to do a double-take, blinking a few times.
It's....very unsettling, to say the least. He wonders if he feel the least bit alarmed and grab one of the twins to double-check for him that the man in front of him is related to him. Then the thought is discarded because doing so would only bring trouble.
Then he remembers Kairi's words from when they were talking at the school. She's mentioned meeting someone that she mistook for Izumo, and seeing it with his own eyes...
Izumo has to wonder if he hadn't just hit his head somewhere.]
Very nice of you to come back. [He directs his words to the customer, sweet and it has the customer stammering an excuse and fleeing.
Izumo ignores him in favor of looking at the other man.]

A - June 30th because apparently I'm spending all day with your chars
[They'd only just been talking about his fire abilities, but she didn't recall him specifically saying he could do a fireball out of a lighter.]
Now I REALLY want to try and go against you with my borderlines, geez!
So busy on the 30th, Kairi
Izumo thinks he won't ever hear the end of it if he hits Kairi and someone finds out.]
I did.
[At the mention of it, though, he smiles and looks a bit intrigued.]
Do you want to give it a go then?
So busy every day lol
Does she ever take a break
Maybe after Tanabata lol
Kairi, stop being busy
Look, sometimes her friends need an Ablution partner. This isn't her fault.
No. But people around her need to stop getting blighted
Case in point: Yuto
That case is gonna blight every shinki involved for him
for sure

So for now, he's just observing how Izumo harnesses and wields the flames. ]

Izumo doesn't mind the quiet observer as he flicks the lighter again, a flame coming out and gradually growing. He tilts it slightly upwards and more fireballs come shooting out.]

Goten grins playfully.
Seeing the fire balls shoot up, Goten brings his own hand back. He concentrates some of his own ki in the palm of his hand before holding his hand out and shooting out multiple blasts. The small blasts head straight for Izumo's fire, in attempt to either knock the fire balls off course or make them explode. Whatever it takes to keep Izumo from hitting any of his intended target.
no subject
Izumo watches as his fireballs collide with small blasts, easily recognizing it to be Goten's. With how many times the two of them had trained together, it'd be almost insulting if Izumo couldn't recognize it.
But it also means that Goten is either here to train, to simply want company, or to play around.
Amusement quickly masks his face.
If that's how Goten wants to do it, then who's he to say no? Besides, it'd be more fun to draw the young shinki out rather than trying to find him. All he needed to do was focus on the direction those ki blasts were coming from, so Izumo holds out the lighter and immediately, more fireballs come out.]

B - five hundred years late with starbucks...
Especially the bar itself, which Tatara bellies up to without hesitation, planting his rear onto one of the remaining open stools before it and smoothing his hand along its glossy, lacquered surface. It’s not as nice as the one back at Bar HOMRA, but he has absolutely zero doubt its keeper treats it with even a shred less pride.
...And overprotectiveness, he remembers, buffing out fingerprints he just left behind with a sleeved elbow. ]
Aah, Kusanagi-san! [ There’s a warm expression on his face that reads, It’s good to see you back behind the bar again, dear friend. But that goes unsaid, for obvious reasons. ] What’s the house special for today, hm~?
[ And before Izumo even gets a chance to answer, Tatara thrusts a triumphant index finger in the air. ]
Whatever it is, I’ll take it!
/hugs
An English pub in which he put his heart and soul into it seems like a good start.
Izumo blinks as he reads the expression on Totsuka's face, trying to understand what it is that the young god is trying to say, but decides it'd be best not to. Not when remembering even a sliver of his past can lead to negative feelings and negative feelings will sting Mikoto.
He huffs a bit.]
Can you even handle liquor? [But even so, Totsuka's a customer, so he proceeds to make the god a drink.] What brings you around here?

But despite the randomness of it the answer from Izumo-san had seemed favourable, so he’d gone the extra step of asking to meet up with the guy.
The meeting place is one of the empty temples, which somehow makes him a bit nervous, but he seems to have found the right place easily enough as he sees one man standing in the midst of some practice dummies.
Yukine watches in awe as at a slight gesture from Izumo the sky becomes filled with fireballs—and then he’s quickly running as one flies towards him. With a startled shout he throws up a borderline which the fire breaks against.]
Hey! Watch what you’re doing!
[Not the best first impression, but he almost became barbequed right off the bat!]

He immediately cancels out his Aura, a slow blink as he turns to the other shinki and smiles.]

B, July 2
When this guest enters, certainly her elaborate kimono would have turned the heads of any patrons that happened to be in (even if they promptly forgot her afterward), so she had chosen to come at a quieter time of day. Not giving any indication that she feels out of place the English-styled establishment, Suijin elegantly takes a seat at the bar - all the better to talk with the owner, after all.]

B! Sorry for my lateness! - July 2
There's a raised hand in greeting with the smallest smile as he settles himself by the bar. ]
Is there anything on the menu for a guy who still wants to remember what happened when he wakes up in the morning?
Eno!!
Certainly. [He'll make you a mixed drink. Hopefully you don't get drunk off of that.] Is something on your mind, Eno?
Carry him home! 8D
Only if Eno ends up drinking too many fruity drinks
five umbrella'd cocktails later...
Eno, don't really make you carry you back home
