Summary: Heaven is throwing a small party to view the sakura and let everyone relax.



After the absolute disaster that happened with handing out chocolates, the Heavens are tripping over themselves to make up for their inability to properly handle the situation. They are eager to make amends and assure everyone that they are hardworking individuals who want nothing more than to make everyone's stay here enjoyable or at least pleasant. To that end, they have invited all of the gods and shinki to a lovely flower viewing, since the sakura are in season.

And by 'invited', they mean 'mandatory', of course. You will accept their apology, whether you like it or not.

It's not all bad, though. The Heavens have provided various kimonos that can be worn, if you haven't brought your own, but you're not required to wear a kimono. They would, however, really like it if you did wear them. It's very traditionally Japanese, after all.

The party is taking place at night so that you can all hide your merrymaking from the Near Shore residents and also because the night sky is beautiful against the cherry blossoms. So try to at least enjoy yourselves while you're here.



Banquet

Every kind of food imaginable is available for your eating pleasure. On top of that, there are dozens of different kinds of desserts ready to be devoured as well. For the older crowd, booze has been provided and is being served by white-clad shinki bearing the golden chrysanthemum of Amaterasu. They are, however, refusing to serve alcohol to anyone who looks too young to drink, sorry guys.

Cherry Blossoms

The blossoms are absolutely gorgeous this year, and they are at the peak of their blooming right now. Nearly every single bud has bloomed and the pink petals are floating by everywhere you go. There is an ethereal light emanating from each of the trees, lighting up the area with a soft, pink light, yet it doesn't seem to be drowning out the brightness of the stars at all. It really is the most beautiful cherry blossom viewing anyone could ever hope for.

"Secret" Corner

Somehow, the Heavens have managed to make one small corner of the grotto into a completely secluded area. There is no marking or signs to indicate what this corner should be used for, but anyone entering it will suddenly realize that this is a place for lovers to meet privately. Only those that you enter the corner with will be able to notice your presence, and you will be unable to notice anyone else's presence as well. Enjoy yourselves, young ones!

Counselling

Off to the side, there is a tiny table set up with a small, nicely written sign that reads "Gentle Counselling". On the other side of the table is a sweetly smiling shinki who is willing to listen to your problems and answer any questions you might have. She is also here to help out any gods that are having a hard time dealing with knowing about how their shinki died and any shinki that is having trouble coming to terms with the fact that they are dead. Counselling will also gladly be offered to anyone who is still pissed off or upset in any way about what happened after White Day.

[The he smirks, big and feral, and he's moving his plate closer to the table.]

A fight with you? Sounds great, when?

It means I often find myself in the company of big, scary men who are big in muscle, but low in brains, beefcake. [he flashes a smirk, tilting his head so that he's peering up at Zoro through his bangs] In another life, I was a mercenary. Now I'm the god of thieves.

[Zoro's grin sends a flash of excitement, and he fights hard not to grin. Could the big meathead actually give him a challenge worth testing his blade on? He hoped so.]

Not tonight. [He takes half a step back, holding his head high in an attempt to affect disinterest] It would be unrefined to draw my blade on a night like tonight. Tomorrow? I have the evening free, if you're eager.

[He glances at Zoro's plate] If you give me a good one, I might even feed you afterwards.

[wadoichimonji]

[Zoro smiles even bigger.]

So you're saying there's no brains with these muscles eh?

[He's so ready to go, he's itching to fight, but Sonic's words just make him sigh.]

What's the fun of a planned fight? If you're so scared tell me, I might even go easy on you.

[He then hums, raising an eyebrow.]

What good does it make for you to feed me when I know there's food like this around?

[mybadhabit]

If you had a brain, you'd understand why I don't want to fight tonight, wouldn't you? [He smiles coyly, cocking his head and his hips to the side] Tonight is a party to appease the Gods, one of which I am. To fight now would be to spoil the evening. And the food won't be here for forever, so you might as well eat all you can.

Besides, what's wrong with making plans to fight? It gives you something to look forward to later. It gives the anticipation and excitement a chance to build up.

[wadoichimonji]

[Zoro smirks, staring down at him.]

So a fight would spoil your evening then? Are you that sure you'll lose?

[He shrugs, using one of his pinkies to scratch his ear.]

There's nothing more exciting than the surprise of a fight actually.

[mybadhabit]

As if! You may look strong, but I've fought men like you before! [he puffs himself, putting his hands on his hips and holding his head up high] You're so confident in your strength, but there's no way you're any match for my speed. If anything, I'm concerned about how disappointed I'll be when I win!

[wadoichimonji]

How many men like me have you won against though?

[He's now curious as to what, exactly, is this man capable of. Then he snorts.]

I might not be as fast as you claim you are, but I can win against anything or anyone.

[He doesn't know where this confidence is coming from, but he feels like he isn't lying.]

[mybadhabit]

All of them. [He stands proudly, puffing out his chest] Except for one, but I won't let that stand for long.

That's why I need to test myself on you. I need to get stronger so that I can catch up with him and make him recognize my skills for what they are. That's why I don't have time to waste on disappointing fights.

[wadoichimonji]

Huh.

[That's impressive, considering how small this guy looks. Though, from what he can see, Sonic has as many, or more, scars than himself.

Zoro smiles, big and feral again.]

I will promise anything but a disappointing fight. I hope the same can be said from you.

[mybadhabit]

[Compared to someone like Zoro, Sonic knows how he looks; he's small, effeminate, and delicately framed. Couldn't possibly be much of a threat, could he? But looks can be deceiving, which is why he doesn't want to get his hopes up with Zoro.]

[But that doesn't stop him from grinning back at Zoro]

I'm the god of sports and athletics - if I can't give you a good fight, then I'm not worthy of the title.

[wadoichimonji]

[Zoro's smile grows bigger, his eye closing slightly.]

I look forward to fight you, god of sport, you smell like a worthy opponent right now.

[mybadhabit]

[He can't stop smiling. It's such a terrible habit, even if Zoro is smiling right back at him, he can't help but feel self-conscious.]

[He takes half a step back, covering his mouth with his hand] Soon. Prepare yourself, for when we next meet, I promise you, I won't lose.

[wadoichimonji]

[Zoro laughs, eyebrow high in question.]

Don't hide your excitement, god, let it all out.

[He laughs again.]
