And The Man In The Back Said Everyone Attack
Who: Shuusei and Niles (
deniles)
When: June 29th
Where: The Far Shore; The Park
What: Sparring
Warning: Violence?
[Shuusei picks up quick that the park exudes calmness and peace. It'll probably keep him from getting too hot headed during this training, right? He offered to spar with Niles to help him out but in truth Shuusei wants the excuse to let loose a little.
Right now Shuusei looks to have on a button up black shirt and black slacks. Not really great for sparring. His sleeves are rolled up and he's idly strolling around the park. He even whistles at bird spirits and watches deer run by. He's spotted a few clearer places where he can move around a bit when Niles arrives and is ready to go.]

Here for training?
[Let's get to work.]
no subject
Yep. Before we start...
[He plays with his watch while he talks and the clothes on his body from the top down change in a green light and digital/pixel like line. By the time it reaches his feet he's wearing a tank top, black exercise slacks and sneakers.]
...are you doing this to just for training or are you looking to get ready for a real fight?
[He stretches his arms above his head, one after the other, and his vessel name is visible on the back of his upper arm.]
no subject
[He stretches his arms from side to side. These are more skills he has for things like shooting bows, rather than for hand to hand combat.
Eventually he gets back to standing straight up.]
You gonna train me differently if I say it's one way or another?
no subject
It's fun.
[Same with cooking, art, sports, or barrier lines. Practice until you get it down and are good at it.]
But if you're looking to get ready for a real fight real soon, you better just get used to thinking on your feet and reacting to things even if you can't predict them.
That might be less fun.
[Well, that sort of thing is fun for Shuusei but in this case it might not be so much for Niles.]
no subject
[He doesn't look like he's even remotely joking about that. And who knows what'll happen after he hunts him down.
Probably death.]
I'm doing this to protect milord. That's it.
no subject
Sure, lets try that. If you're protecting someone else you probably want to go on the offense rather than try to avoid taking a hit.
[He walks up to Niles, not about to start sparring just yet.]
If your quick, move in fast and slow them down. I'd say aim for the throat, nose, groin, or stomp down on the side of the knee if they're normal people.
[He does a quick step to Niles side to show raising his foot up to attack.]
Against something not a person you probably want to see where their joints move and aim for their legs.
But I don't want to hurt that bad so we'll just practice moving in fast and doing quick strikes. Aiming can come later and if you're good under pressure you'll hit your marks.
[He doesn't know much about Niles but he's going to assume this guy doesn't balk in dangerous situations.
Shuusei backs up a bit and asks one last question.]
Ever punch someone before?
no subject
Hm. Sounds good to me.
[At 'punch someone', he blinks for a moment. Rubbing his chin.]
I've smacked someone.
[In a horribly kinky situation. But that's not what this is about.]
Punched? Not yet. [He hopes soon, though.]
no subject
[He's gotten himself loose and ready. He isn't going to ask about the smacking.
He probably doesn't want to know.]
So come at me. Try to get close to where you want to hit and try to strike fast. Worry about actually making them count later.
[Because against some of the big guys he's seen here, no amount of solid punching will matter if you're not hitting them someplace vulnerable.]
no subject
Got it.
[He starts moving closer, as quickly as possible. Not that it's very fast. But he's being quick enough that he slips in nice and close to throw a hard fist in his face.]
no subject
Good, keep punching. Don't let up. Speed and aim.

Shuusei gives it a while longer before ducking and stepping out of the way of those punches. Backing up with his hands up. He's going to have some bruises!]
Okay, okay. Good. You got the relentless part down. I guess we'll play with where you should aim those hits.
You don't have to hit hard if you hit the right spots.
no subject
[He sighs, shaking his fists out as he tries to cool down a bit from going all out. He normally doesn't. It's not his style. But... he has to admit, doing that felt good.
Shaking his head back and forth as well, he looks at him with a nod.]
So. What are they?
no subject
Also the eyes. No body likes getting hit in the eyes. Try using your fingers straight out instead of a punch when you do that.
[Shuusei points as he talks as if instructing on anatomy as opposed to showing someone how to really hurt another.]
If you decide you want to try kicking, or they knock you down and you need time to get up, aim for the groin.
[It's all dirty fighting, but Shuusei's not a competitive martial artist.]
If you get a chance you can stomp down on the inside of their foot too to. It'll keep them off balance.
If you can step beside them, try to stomp down on the side of their knee. It's pretty easy to hurt someone really badly that way without having to be that strong.
Just keep moving and change up where you strike. You'll start to take someone apart. Once they're on the ground with a bum leg you can take advantage of stomping and kicking them. I wouldn't try to sit on them and punch unless you're sure they're not all that great at fighting.
[So Niles can practice at home on a cut out or whatever. Does anyone even use training dummies? Anyways.]
Let's start with the throat and nose when you're ready so I can block them. You kind of want to learn to punch for them without thinking. You're quick, so you should use that over whoever you're fighting.
[Also Shuusei doesn't want Niles to blow out his knee or kick him in the crotch.]
no subject
Let's do punching first. We can worry about the rest at another point.
[He'll learn more about the rest as time goes on. He knows he'll continue training. He grips his fists together and moves in to slam one against his face again.]
Come on.
no subject
Okay then!
[This time he throws up his forarm to try and knock the punch wide and moves as well. Shuusei counters with a punch that is more of a push than anything towards Niles's shoulder. He's going to try and keep Niles back and force him to push the attack.]
no subject
He doesn't think it'll last, but he'll keep up his speed right now, thanks.]
