[Open] A Day in the Life

Where: Forseti's Temple and anywhere else
What: It's catch all time.

The temple of Forseti only looks like it can be scary and cold from the outside but it's not true for the occupants living there. The god residing there is pretty fine with people coming to visit since his shinki partner has a lot of friends.

This is what happens when he lets the doors open.

[ This wasn't Lux's first time to the temple of Forseti, although it was her first time walking there (long story, don't ask). Their first meeting was something of a whirlwind, and while she hadn't made a bad impression, Lux regretted not being able to take the time to get to know the god who took care of Goten.

(Although with how strong the boy was, was it the other way around?)

Wandering onto the grounds, she bowed her head respectively once. Holding a bag in both hands, adorned with a rabbit sitting atop a mochi moon, she looked for the substitute god, doing her best to keep to well-traversed paths, even if she might want to explore. All the temples were so very different, it was curious... ]

[Thankfully there is one path that has a stone walkway, making it easier to get to the main entrance without any worry. It also has a few hawks around, looking at the newcomer with curiosity. One screeches as they flew off, some kind of bumping noise came from close by along with a PING!]

Careful!

[It's nowhere near Lux but it's worth something to investigate.]

Sorry this weekend got away from me...

[ Thst was curious, seeing hawks in this area. Did they live here at the temple? More importantly, were they watching her? Moving around the grounds much more cautiously than she had before, her gaze turns upward as she hears one screech and fly in another direction, then–

What was that?

Guess it's time to follow that bird?! Quickening her pace, heeled boots clicking on the stone walkway, she heads toward the sound. That sounded like... was that Goten's god? Was he all right? ]

Aymeric?

[ Probably shouldn't call attention to herself with birds of prey stalking her movements, but priorities! ]

Pffff it finnnne

[Only because its someone who doesn't visit as often! The hawks just tilt their heads except for the one that panicked, fleeing towards the rooftop as the same PING is heard along with a CRACK.

What exactly was that noise? Well she will see Aymeric pulling what looks like a small shiny ball from the brick of the temple wall.]

I did tell them to be careful as I practiced...

[He sighs as he sees the young shinki near by. Oh, another visitor? They briefly met before, yes?]

You are not harmed, are you?

[ Somehow the idea of being watched by something with talons isn't the most reassuring thing in the world. They're probably harmless, but even still...

But that hardly seems to matter once she finds Aymeric trying to pull... was that a ball wedged into the temple wall. What was he doing? ]

No, not at all, but—what are you doing?

[ That doesn't look like tennis practice, unless he has one heck of a serve. ]

Actually...

[The 'ball' starts to warp, trying to go from round to flat but only came out in a curve.]

I was trying to see what my new power is capable of. They tell me that I can manipulate metal but so far I have just used to have items come to me.

[ Okay you know what? That is cool as heck and she is thoroughly distracted. Watching them all shift and warp, it takes her a minute to react to what he is saying. ]

Huh.

[ A beat as she looks up, then smiles brightly. ]

How does it work, exactly? Maybe I can help you brainstorm a bit.

[ Let's put on our thinking caps here, Aymeric! ]

July 3

[Izumo did make a promise with Goten that he'd meet his god one day.

It was probably how he had managed to find his way to the temple of Forseti. Izumo is quiet as he takes in the temple, briefly wondering where Goten had gone to since the young shinki seemed particularly enthusiastic about having Izumo meet Aymeric.

Judging from how much Goten adored his god, it'd be good to meet him, especially after everything he's gone through.

So, he's respectful and admires the temple as he searches for Aymeric.]

[The weather is nice enough that he's actually outside by himself. Meaning no cat, hawks or kids for the moment. But it does look like he's trying to work on something with all this attention to both a flat piece of technology and a small booklet as he sits on the grass.

These weird magitek things are serious business it seems. More importantly, the man does find the god of the temple but just a bit distracted at the moment. He'd stop once someone says hello.]

[Whatever he's working on, it certainly looks interesting.]

Hello there.

[Hearing the voice, Aymeric looks up to see the man. He can get a better look at what the object is now, which happens to be a smartphone.

At least he's attempting. Most folks back home would look at this thing and smash it against the wall.]

Oh! My apologies, I didn't take notice. May I help you?

[Ah, a smartphone.

Izumo briefly wonders if he's the one Goten's been learning to use the device from, but at the same time, he can't be too sure.

He smiles all the same.]

I'm looking for a man named Aymeric?

[Not even close. However it was due to gaining Goten as a partner and the little mishap that he decided to get a better way to communicate. Even if he is still quite clueless on how to use it.]

Aye, I am he. Are you a friend of Goten's perchance?

July 2nd

[ Yoon is out wandering and does indeed have the misfortune of running into the grumpy cat. He was trying to pick the cat up and put it closer to the temple when it clawed him instead. Unlucky for Mandragora, Yoon has very calloused hands already, so another set of scratches didn't bother him - but the more he figured out how nasty the cat was to a stranger, the more interested he was in hauling it by the scruff back to its owner.

So there's a knock at the door with one hand, and a fussy cat in the other. ]

[It was ending up to be an uneventful day which Aymeric can appreciate. That is until he answers the door and a stranger is holding his cat, who is spitting and growling. Well now, that's new.]

...hello there. I see you have something of mine.

[Mandragora what the hell did you get into?]

[handsome_genius]

Apparently.

[He extends his hand further for the tall.... man (?) to take the cat from him.]

I wasn't on your temple grounds when I found your pet.

[His hands might show evidence of how well that encounter went, but he isn't acknowledging it just yet.]

[Taking the cat with both hands, Mandragora squirms as Aymeric sets him down in the doorway. The feline growls and hisses at the strange man before skittering back inside to who knows where.]

My thanks for bringing him back, he doesn't usually wander outside the temple grounds. You are not harmed, are you?

Seriously harmed? No.

[But Yoon does start digging into his bag after Mandragora is out of his hands.]

Scratched, sure, obviously.

[And Yoon is pulling some antiseptic gel out of a container.]

[He sees that.]

Would you rather come inside? I do have bandages to help you out.

[Cat scratching is the worst and he wants to do something to apologize for what happened.]

July 7th

[So after a day to sort of. Process what happened, Leo finally makes his way to Aymeric's temple.]

[Oh, this is a surprise. Don't mind the slight blush because Leo just happens to have caught him training.]

Leo! This is quite a surprise!

Oh. He's shirtless. Leo can't help but admire him and secretly wonder how the hells he ignored it for so long]

I hope I'm not interrupting anything.

[Because most train shirtless? He smiles as he shakes his head.]

Not at all. I always have time for you.

It's almost bizarre, hearing someone say that to me.

[Laughing at himself and blushing a bit, Leo heads over and leans up for a quick kiss.]

Is it strange that I feel we need to talk, but I mostly just wanted to see you?

[Hey, it's still a new concept for the elezen as well. He actually has not been in a relationship...well ever. His duties to Ishgard and her people always came first.]
