When last I heard of celebrations specific to the Near Shore, they often celebrate the week preceding the 7th. As early as July 1st. As Tanabata takes places on the seventh day of the seventh month, some locales choose to celebrate for seven days.

I don't know much either, but I believe they're still pretty. You can see the hard work you put into it all year around, and that's another kind of beauty to add.
