"Just curious." That's mostly it, actually. He just wants to know things, and the fact he's missing so much of what he should know is annoying. If he fills himself up with more knowledge, even if it's different, it's a bit placating.

"I don't mind running, I do mind being up this early. Running around midnight's more my thing." Hell he doesn't even mind running around during midday.

"Alright, stretch and run, right?" He's already stretching himself out.
