Shopping trip!

It is, however, something his shinki may need to get used to.
"Get up," he says, nudging Ekko's shoulder with one hand. "It's time for training."
no subject
He yawns and pushes the hand away as he starts rising. "What time is it?"
no subject
"It's time to get up," Sonic quips, hands on his hips and a smirk on his face. "It's also 5:30. You should feel thankful, I've been up for an hour already."
no subject
"What, do you only sleep four hours a night?" Actually, do the dead even need sleep? He's not sure, but he still likes it.
"What do you want, my weapon form?"
no subject
He turns to head out of the room, waving for Ekko to follow. "Not yet. We'll do some stretches and a light run to warm up, then I'll have a look at your weapon form."
no subject
"You're a training nut, aren't you?"
no subject
"But, admittedly, I can get a bit caught up."
no subject
"Good to know I pegged you right,"
no subject
"Sports and athletics are part of my domain as a god, if I wasn't into it, I would say they picked the wrong man for the job. Besides," he adds, a wide grin lighting up his face as he pushed the backdoor open. "How could I not be excited about this set up?"
Just beyond the door is a long, Olympic size pool, and beyond that? A running track with an obstacle course at its center. "I don't even have to set up my own training field!"

Besides, they need swimsuits if they're going to be crashing the pool party tomorrow.
They make a quick trip to a department store for necessities like jeans and underwear, then Sonic gets a little carried away at the athletics store, resulting in a quick trip back to the temple dump off an excess of running clothes, weights, and any other piece of equipment Sonic felt he could carry out. He'd be embarrassed about the amount of shoes he took with him, but he knows he's going to wear each pair out completely within a day or two, so he might as well grab as many as he could to minimize the amount of trips.
Finally, they hit the store Sonic's been waiting for.

He doesn't find any signs of ayakashi, but he finds something else.
Why.
It's been only what, twelve hours since their first meeting? And now he's running into that self-proclaimed rival of his god again. Question is, how is he going to pay for that shopping he seems to plan on doing? Why yes, Genos enters the shop right after Sonic.

He starts with the standing rack of jewelry, going through the necklaces until he finds a tattoo necklace with dagger charm he likes the look of. There's a store attendant standing not five feet away, but he just rips the tag right off and puts it on, completely unconcerned about the consequences.

Require pointless trinkets as tribute from his followers? That would make more sense.

"I would think that for the patron god of thieves, it's pretty fitting, don't you?" he shrugs one shoulder and flicks his bangs out of his face before grabbing a few bracelets and slipping them on. "Besides, as a god, it's my prerogative to reach out and take what I want."
no subject
"...indeed there were mentions of deities being patrons of more unsavory aspects of life..." He only skimmed through the mythologies though.

Wait, why should he even answer the questions of this guy? He shuts his mouth, and refuses to continue.
"You're from a different pantheon! You have nothing to do with my god."
no subject
He shakes the thought from his head and steps right into Genos's personal space. "Which one of them came first, the Greek or the Roman god? Tell me, I have to know."
Then he scoffs at Genos's protest, flipping his bangs out of his face with a flick of his wrist. "My rivalry with Saitama has nothing to do with pantheons and has existed since before either of obtained godhood. I'm not going to just drop it because we "have nothing to do with each other," or anything like that."

He lingers outside the store for awhile, leaning on a stolen shopping card loaded with spoils as he contemplates how much longer he has before the groceries will start to go bad. Clothes aren't a major priority, but it would be nice to have something a little more casual to wear on occasion. His armoured suit isn't the comfiest thing to wear. Maybe he can make just one more stop before heading back to the temple.
Besides, the clothes here look pretty cool. He eyes a wall of edgy tryhard hoodies covered in skulls and flames and stuff as he rolls his cart inside. One at the end of the row catches his eye—neon purple on black stripes, with a pair of pointed cat ears poking out of the hood.
He's so enamoured by the garish design that he accidentally rams his cart into someone.

Well, that was surely inevitable, but it's impressive that he managed to get it so far in the first place.
Then again, with the way the poor victim waved the incident off as being clumsy, maybe it wasn't that impressive after all. And hadn't he seen that guy before?
He wanders over, putting one hand on his hip and arching an eyebrow. "That's quite the collection you've got going."
no subject
... except he was seen, he realizes once a familiar god approaches. Add scoffs, glancing off to the side. He might be a tiny bit embarrassed.
"That it is, so keep your hands to yourself. 'Honour among thieves', correct?"
no subject
He cocks his hip to the side, tilting his head the same direction. "And just what are you doing in here with such an encumbering haul?"
no subject
"What does it look like?" he replies. Obviously, he's shopping. "It's annoying to have to wear the same clothes every day, so I came here. Is that a problem?"
no subject

Actually, why would he care if it's unpopular? After failing to notice anything odd, he goes back to scowling at Sonic. Is he trying to hog this store for himself or something?
"And what would those subcultures be? You were here first, so obviously you must be familiar." That's at least half a genuine question, even if his tone doesn't suggest it. He really has no idea.
